Hi- thanks a lot to Yuki, I was able to flash to Mango without a hitch. I have two questions if anyone can help me out:
1. I'm having issues with GPS connectivity- it's almost nonexistent. For example, I can't use the directions ability in maps because it tells me "can't connect to satellite" whenever I tap on the screen. Is this a known issue with a solution? If so, can anyone provide clarity or provide a helpful link? I have the latest radios and I reside in Los Angeles and New York City.
2. My Audio, only when making calls, does not work properly. When I hook up any headset, one of earbuds loses audio completely and the microphone diminishes my input dramatically. If I put the call on speaker, the sound is barely louder than when not on speaker. I've tried both audio cabs but neither has been successful in resolving these issues. Again, is this a known issue with a solution? If so, can anyone provide clarity or provide a helpful link?
Any help regarding either of these dilemmas would be greatly appreciated!
I don't know bout the GPS but I never had any audio issues, sry mate...
But your on a tmous aren't you? And I'm on an european hd2....
I have the same issue. When somebody call me, it's hard for them to hear what I'm saying. I have to shout loud to the micro.

Does anyone know if it is possible to mix the audio comming from a cellular call and audio being played form a .wav file?
I understand that normally any music playing would get suspened for the duration of the cellular call, but in my case I would like to mix a VoIP call and a cellular call.
This actually works on the wizard but no longer seems to work on the TyTN.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Tim
I've heard in a few msdn forums that its not possible to access the audio from the phone line programatically, but just refuse to believe its true!!
I've had a go without much success. Not much c++ expertise unfortunately.
Surely there must be someone out there who can work this one out.
If not can anyone explain to me exactly why it's not possible so I stop trying to have a go!
Cheers
Confused
stemill,
I am not even trying to make it that complicated.
When using the Wizard with a wired headset connected a simultaneous cellular call and voip call over WiFi are both played out over the headset. The audio picked up from the microphone is sent over both connections.
This is the behavior I would like to see on the TyTN but alas it is not. On the TyTN the microphone is sent over both connections but only the cellular audio can be heard over the usb headset. I figure something must have changed on the windows wav device like perhaps it is handled in HW now instead of SW.

Hi guys, anyone using this new type of speakerphone? Wondered if anyones got any feedback on it. I like the idea of having the call routed to the car's speakers using the FM transmitter.
Ive had one for a few months now and its working great. All of the buttons on it were kind of confusing at first but I got them figured out now. Ill be happy to answer any specific questions you might have.
Hi, only wondered if in general it works ok, like the FM radio bit and the MP3 streaming?
Cheers.
Only issue you might have with it is finding a station that wont interfere with the area your in. Im in Miami Florida which is packed with radio stations (some legal and some not) and every once in a while in certain areas ill get some background static and have to switch stations but the majority of the time I can keep it on the same station without any problems.
Other than that it works flawless with the kaiser. The device does everything it claims it can do and all the buttons work as expected. I stream music with media player for hours without problems. I dont have any sound quality issues but im not an audiophile so I couldnt really tell you how good it really is streaming mp3's.
Ive never had any complaints about sound quality when using it with the phone and the voice recordings ive done sound clear to me. Hope this helps.
Sure does! Thanks very much for your review!

Im trying to work out if this device does the same thing, but I cant work out if it actually accepts stereo bluetooth and pushes it out over FM....

Hello peeps,
I wonder if any of you folks with an HD2, use it with Bluetooth A2DP and satnav?
My predicament is this...
I am a motorcyclist, and occasionally listen to music from my HD2 via a Bluetooth A2DP helmet. It works great, with good sound quality and no skipping of music tracks using Manilla Music Player.
I also have Garmin Mobile XT, which I often use in the car, and the voice prompts and directions work great through the HD2 internal speaker.
However, if I want to use Garmin Mobile XT with my BT Helmet, it works OK, with the exception that audio coming from Mobile XT seems clipped right at the beginning. For example, the instruction:
"Drive 3.4 miles, then keep left." - which is how it would sound through the internal speaker...
...will more often than not sound like...
".(point) 4 miles, then keep left." - when heard through the helmet.
As you can imagine, it would be quite dangerous to have to keep looking at the screen to confirm instructions, and you can believe how confusing this is when actually on the road and relying on voice direction only.
I have searched thorugh all of the HD2 forums for the tags 'bluetooth' and 'audio', found some similar issues that peeps were having with music player playback stuttering and the like, and tried some of the remedies offered by other forum dweller (like the increase file cache, line rate, etc), but to no avail.
As a computer professional, I am inclined to say that the symptons seem like a buffering or issue. But obviously, I am not a cellualr expert, so I will leave the really diagnosis for the pro's here ;-P
Perhaps one other lucky HD2 owner will have experienced (and hopefully had solved) a similar issue (perhaps not with the BT helmet tho ;-P).
Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and I'd greatly appreciate any feedback anyone has to offer.
Rgds,
drkmtr
Me Too!
I'm using a Samsung SBH-650 Bluetooth Stereo Headset, and I get exactly the same thing! I've no idea about a solution, but at least you know you're not alone.
I have the same with Jabra BT530. No reaction from HTC, no solution here.
i saw once a thread about a similar problem.
there they wrote that the bt-chipset which is used by htc for the hd2 is a Broadcomchip. They told, that there are some differences between the os and the chip and something about the problem, that it switches to standby mode too early or something like this.
this could be the issue. your phone turns the chip too early in standby mode and you cant hear the whole sentence cause it needs time to turn it on again.
sorry mate, im not having a solution, but thats something i read. maybe it helps.

Bluetooth is a slow (imagine RS-232) comms protocol that was designed primarily for local audio connection. EDR (Ehanced data rate) was brought on for high data rate stereo connections.
If you want stereo audio connection, simutaneous phone connection and GPS connection running while all the associated SW packages are running in your phone, then you are asking a hell of a lot of even a 2.5Ghz laptop!
PLEASE, lets get the device in perspective......
Hello,
Sorry for my english.
I'm biker too, i'm using a Parrot BT Headset and i've got no problem.
I'm listen to music (with S2P) and using copilot live at the same time without problem.
Sometimes instead of S2P, i'm listening to webradio (with Wunderadio) and using copilot live without problem...
Listening radio or music allow that the BT channel is always up.
regards,
Thierry
i'm not a motorbiker, but i use bluetooth headset for listening music.
When wifi is on, and there is not wlan accessible, bluetooth lags every 30 seconds when trying to connect.
I'm reviving this ancient thread, cause I'm having a similar problem with my HTC Amaze and it's driving me nuts.
Sound is played back with about 2 seconds lag, very, very annoying. Never had any issues with my Motorola Droid...
Can anyone explain why this is happening and if there is a possible fix/hack?
Help?!
Hello
I have the following problem with my axon 7 when I make a call using a bluetooth headset I hear a click every 2/3 seconds.
I tried with two different bluetooth headsets, namely LG TONE + HBS-730 and Creative Sound Blaster EVO ZxR, but I still have the same problem. the problem does not occur when I listen to music or see a video with bluetooth headphones. Any suggestions?
Thank you
no one can help me?
Some ideas: Are you calling the same person each time? It sounds like it may be an issues with the cell service, maybe even the sim.. But it's hard telling. Are you rooted? Running any custom ROMs on your device? If so which bootstack are you running?
Hi nolimit78
Thanks for your answer, the problem happen for every call that I do, the Axon is with the stock rom with the update Nougat b05, without root. The only thing that I see/hear is the clicks happen when the cell signal switch in dBm. Any suggestions?
Hi Everyone
I've been struggling with the bluetooth connection to my Airpods 2 after June update on the Essential phone. The connection is extremely spotty - putting the phone inside my pocket is actually enough for it to disconnect the audio!
The signal is back when I take the phone back close to my face... which is not very practical. Not sure this is actually due to the update but I've started noticing it just after so difficult to think this is not linked.
Anyone experienced issue with bluetooth recently? I've tried playing with the bluetooth options in the developer section to no avail... I have tried with my old bluetooth speaker as well and same problem, putting my hands around the phone or moving slightly from the speaker disconnects the audio! Definitely a problem with bluetooth signal but no sure it comes from.
Thanks for your help
