My T-Mobile HTC hd2 with cyanogenmod7 installed says my storage on microsd is 200mb, I have the stock microsd in the phone and it doesn't find it. Any help please
have you installed or played with windows phone 7 ?
yes i did and didnt like it so that is when i switched over to android

Go to the Windows Phone 7 forum and search for the Unlock for Sd cards.
Windows Phone 7 locks your sd card so you cant use it untill you unlockt it.

After I tried windows 7 on my sandisk 16gb card, it read 200mb.
Download sdformatter and run a quick format with it on the card. Unplug and re plug and it should detect the correct amount.
Not all SD cards get locked at 200mb after 7.
Maybe even windows built in quick format.

on saturday i flashed to WM7 DFT port and everything was perfect except the need for activation code but that meant my phone was uselesss til monday when ms was open again but i needed my phone so i flashed back to WM6.5 until today when i plan to get a code and then reflash to WM7
thing is when i was using WM6.5 i noticed my 8GB card is now 199mb?
this is puzzled me and i really have no use for a 199mb card
i want my 8GB back.
please help me and anyone else with this problem!!!!

I thing i bricked my SD card also
on the first install i have installed it with the SD inside
and it bricked i think
but it worked c'ouse the wp7 made a RESTART when i attached it from the phone
and after restart didnt remmember the contacts and files and every thing i have made with him ...
i Try'd to put the SD in my Nokia N95 and it sayd its not working....
Any suggests on how to fix it ?
or its lost ? =(

Use panasonic formatter to format the sd card. Click full format Btw.

i prefer software approach as i have just flashed my phone to WM7 and i'm not flashing to android just to fix the sd card

Need some help. I've upgraded from 6.5 to 7 on my HD2. Works fine except that it cant see my SD card. I have 2 of them but none works. I've try them on other devices and it works so its not a memory card problem.
I tried to connect to HD2 via Windows Mobile Device Center but it wont recognize the device. What am I missing? Please help

Ok, firstly you'll need to browse thru the FAQ.

WP7 is a new OS, COMPLETELY unrelated to WinMo6.x
Keep in mind WP7 is not an "upgrade" from winmo6.5...
No winmo6.5 apps/games work with WP7
The SD wont be seen by your PC (feature of WP7)
WP7 may not even recognise your sd card.
to check on WP7 goto:
Settings/About
Total Storage should be approx < xxGB (your SD card size...)
You need Zune installed instead of Windows Mobile Device Centre to sync stuff.
Thanks for your reply. What I meant to say is that 6.5 is history and I managed to install Win7. In checking Settings/About it only shows 15.73 MB of space. If thats the case then the 16GB os memory card that came with the phone its...useless? Or do I need a diff SD?

Try a hardreset, Hold Vol Up&Down when you see the 1,2,3,4 on MAGLDR.
This happens sometimes where windows doesnt correctly format/see your card. It could also be that your card isnt compatible.
I'll be damned. Doing a hard reset and holding Volume Up at 1234 on MAGLDR......gave me back my SD card. Sweet. You are the man. Thanks for all your help.
I had a 2GB SD Card but after i use in my HD2 this SD card downgrade from 2GB of capacity to 200MB of capacity. what a hell??? why ? anyone could give some help please

Yes i installed Windows Mobile Phone 7 yesterday in HD2, but today i return to Android cause WM7 is awesome but has a lot of issues in HD2 yet.

It's a pleasure. I also tried WP7 out for about 1 hour and very quickly came back to Android.

I had the same issue ... I installed Winmo 7 and after couple pf hours i decided to go back to bundle ... then i discovered my sd-card had been downgraded to 200 mb instead of 2 gb. but panasonic sdformatter 2.0 is also only available to see 200 mb... what to do ?
It will only see 200MB at first. When you format, make sure you change the Format Size Adjustment setting to "On." You should also set the format method as Full instead of Quick (either Full method should work).

i was runnind yuki-xbmod on my hd2 and decided to flash Dft ultrafruit. after flashing using magldr usb flasher my micro sd card aint working no more.when its booting it comes toa hault and says "storage card not working".i have tried everything ,even istalling an android build to nand with the card in it but nothing happens. When ever i put it in my pc i hear a sound which shows its been detected but i cant find it in my computer. i tried a nokia phone to format it but it keeps asking me for a password. i have never used a password for it before. can anybody please help me on how to go about this situation.. its a sandisk 16gb class 2 micro sd..
Password on Nokia is just to leave it blank I believe, it locked because you didn't unlock it before flashing.try flashing xboxrom again

suggest flash back XBmod-Yuki rom with sd card , and send DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab then you can unlock it. after unlock just off then you can flash any other HD2 WP7 rom with this card and work.
if have Nokia phone, just format it (faster then flashing rom again and send cab file) and skip when ask for password.... few time he ask for password but every time dont enter anything and continue until card is formatted...
or just use panasonic sd formater with adjust size checked on

i have flashed the DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab . After i did this i placed the sd card in my pc but yet still it cant detect it...whats the problem now???
Did you run the app it installs? After you run the app its unlocked until you boot wp7 again, if you ran it you need to for mat the card as it still won't be seen by windows, go to admin tools and find the storage manager, at work an can't remember the exact name, you will see card listed as unknown, right click an format

I just recently updated my htc hd2 from windowns 6.5 to android 2.3.2 and everything works perfect and the camera evens opens up but it tells me that i need to install an sd card to take a picture but i already have a 16gb sd card in thers sooo i dont know what to do??

If it's the same one you used with wm 6.5 it is locked and cannot be read by android.
You need to unlock it which is not that easy to do.
It seems that some nokia phones can unlock it, have a look here .

The sd card is only locked with Windows phone 7.x. Windows mobile 6.5 uses the sd card as additional storage just like every other os. Just back up and format the card. Chances are is not seated properly or its going bad. Also make sure you're using a legit card and not some card you bought from ebay or amazon.

I know this is gunna sound stupid but if I take the SD card out wont it mess up how my phone is working with android?

Did you perhaps format the whole card as EXT thinking "yes,ill have an extra 16gb internal space"? Because the camera is looking for a fat partition.
Sorry for my misleading post.
One thing you could try is formating your sdcard with sdFormatter v3.1 with your PC with format size adjustment on. If sdformatter cannot format it then it is more than likely gone bad. If it works then just try again in you phone.
