Thanks for reminding.
Thank you OP. Luckily got N64oid the last time he posted it for free.
Thanks for this
I was able to get the n64oid last time. It looks like there's an update, how can I get the update for free?

Not sure how it is considered warez. I got the app when it was free, dunno why I have to pay when there's an update to the app.
Amazon has free app a day. If I get the app when the app was free, I shouldn't and don't pay for it when there's an update.

it was only free for people to test out and report problems to him so that they wouldn't freak out saying something they payed for doesn't work and rate it badley. where as if he offeres it for free it might not work perfectly but people will still be content.
And as for why its warez now that its a payed app you cant just get it even if you had a previous version because the previous version was a beta. say your a beta tester for a game you get to play it first and report problems but you dont get the retail game when it comes out.
Has anyone gotten the accelerometer to work with N64oid on the tablet? It works perfectly on my Galaxy S II, and i use it to play mario kart, but it doesn't seem to work at all on my transformer...

I know xda-devs is more than just releasing new apps, but was thinking about this, anybody migrating to windows marketplace to release their apps instead of here?
I would, if I wrote apps that is. To have your app on that much of a market share would be great. Minus you get that many more complaints when it does not work. Just don't start making every useless app on here (useless but fun) cost 0.99$ or more. I hate the iPhone market and Android Market for that reason.

LMFAO!!
Brilliant idea!
will the apps in the app store be downloadable as a simple cab? is there some annoying drm involved
also, is there any reason why some developers would not release their app on both mediums
Why would developers want to pay $100 to release a free app?
i considered posting my app there, but registration is not available for Israel.
FAIL
Well including three demo of Nova in 3.70 sucked me in. I paid the $5 because this game is really cool!

I agree. I was pleasantly surprised by both the performance of the game, and the fact that although it may be called "bloatware", in reality it adds minimal to internal storage (most of the data is stored on SD which I don't mind).
I picked it up a few months ago, its pretty bomb. Modern Combat: Sandstorm is absolutely AWESOME too.

Ok so Adam did you install 3.70? Are you rooted? If so did you get your old official copy of NOVA working? Mine won't it just glitches and hangs?
Any answers would be awesome as I can't play NOVA anymore without REBUYING it BOOOO
Thanks,
Adan
Nova 2 looks even better, dont know if its coming to android. Also don't know if our evos can handle it.

Yeah gamelofts process of selling is horrible. They need to join the android market. Especially with all the talk on the blogs about them ripping people off. I have been using a titanium restore so I've been ok playing NOVA. I think they right now only offer 90 days that you can redownload aka update. Which is retarded. The games are great but gameloft needs to rethink their android business model quick

Doh well that answers the question Adam,
You don't have to worry about what Sprint did to our EVOs when it comes to NOVA as you arent using even a loose version of the RUU... ahhh well...
As for rethinking their business model I hear you, it's way to hard to get support or help with these issues from them. Not to mention even finding the games is so backwards its almost in opposite land...

Yeah. I wanna say android central (maybe phandroid....cant remember) ran an article today on them charging people numerous times, etc. If they wanna be a serious player why arent they on the market? As easy as it should be, gameloft comes off as shady. And yeah, their stuff is a pain to buy, download, and install. You would think they would wanna cure that issue. Joining the market would do that and alleviate everyones fears of being scammed.
no prob..
well i had the full version of nova before the update, im all stock. and after the update I still have the full version, no changes.
you can actually get modern combat sandstorm for free at getjar.com! it is a fun game and was made free there because of what adam said.

oh darn it, sorry for getting your hopes up. the article was misleading and so was the description. my bad
I don't think they charge you if you activate the demo copy after having already bought it. I got NOVA back in late july, and just activated the demo. It said purchase, but didn't go through the normal process, so I don't think I paid for it. I'll try to post back here in a month when I get my next bill to confirm, but I'm pretty sure that if its the device that you already activated on, it should be free to activate it. It definitely plays better now that its integrated.
I love all the Gameloft games except for Asphalt 5. Its not a really good racing game. Its ok, but not well optimized for Android. I just got Need for Speed Shift when it came out on the Market on the 16th. So far, its awesome! Really snappy great graphics, and really good racing experience.
Can you use wiimote with these games?

try killing all active applications before launching the game.
I had frame rate issues the other night with asphalt6 and after killing most active tasks it ran fine.
If you go to the Xperia Play app, either by launching it or opening the slider, you can hit the Market button at the top right of the app which will take you to the Android Market. It does a search for "XPERIA PLAY optimized" and gives you the results.
There are tons of normal games that work with the gamepad also.

Are there any Gameloft games in the market? I would rather buy from there than from Gameloft's website.
I believe they are just on their website. Or if you have a Verizon PLAY, they are available right in the VCast store if you wanted to use that instead.
one thing id like to see if a sorta xperia play website, with forums and community features.
like the N-Gage had.

You can add the price of purchase to your phone bill, meaning you do not have to give credit card details to random person on market place.
One reason i have never bought anything from marketplace is that you can not purchase through phone bill.

From what I've seen, majority of the work this guy did was import source code from other open-source emulators (ex. snesoid was based on snes9x). He took this and put them up for sale which is, I'm assuming the biggest reason that they were removed from the market.
It's like that Akaskriller dude, he takes the work of others and edits it a little bit and puts it up for sale (monthly fee, same thing) and the community gets all up-in-arms about it but when something like this happens its big bad Google at fault. It's nice of him to put it up for free but they should have been free from the beginning.

This is the biggest reason I refused to use yongzh's emulators. Now that they're available for free I might check it out but it's not high on my list of priorities. Heck, Plants vs. Zombies just came out on Amazon!
Im not so sure about his work being fake. His N64 Emulator was better than the other one in the market, the other one is rated with 2 stars, his was rated with 4 and a half i think. At least in my phone, N64oid works better than N64 Arcade. And now that its free, its even better! xD
It is still not free--on slideME it is $.30.

So the emulators are gone from the market.. So what happens to those who bought the emulators? I had bought psx4droid and snes4droid,. Now that they are gone, do the people get a refund or something?. Or is google promoting piracy?. Even the game Dropblock that i had bought also is nowhere to be found... If there were legal issues with these games then they shouldn't have been in the marketplace in the first place!!
Oh google.. Thanks for the corruption..

You are implying more than just facts those.
I ended up getting the slideme versions when they were free, but I too was kind of bummed since I had already bought one or two of them. However if this guy was ripping off code and being douchey, well I am glad he was at least inconvenienced, sucks that we all end up out a few bucks too (although as long as the program is backed up the emulators will still work...).

I jumped on this even though I doubt I'd ever use it. I just don't care for how the Amazon market app tries to force you to use their version even if you downloaded a more up to date version from the Android Market. Once Trillian went free on Android Market I got it from there since it was a newer version. Now Amazon constantly wants me to "update" trillian.
