[Q] HD2 MAGLDR not picking up USB on boot - HD2 General

Hi All,
Sorry if this is covered in another thread - after days of searching CDA im still no closer.
I have a UK HD2, which previously had android 2.3 on it.
The internal memory failed (after a year) so I re-installed WM6.5 which went on fine. (and the internal memory returned)
I am now trying to install android or windowsM 7, but when I come to re-install MAGLDR (Im running Windows 7 on my PC) I can run the ROMUpdate as admin, which talks to the phone, then reboots the phone (Boots up with the 3 colours and SPL info) but then fails as it phone is not been picked up in USB mode. HELP - I am on SPL 2.08.0000

make sure the drivers are installed, you also need HSPL 2.08 before you can install magldr

Got a HD2. Now im confused

Hey guys,
today i got me a HD2. Bought it on ebay and now i want to flash NAND Android on it.
Im a bit confused. the HD2 is running WMo right now and i want to have it running Cyanogenmod.
do i get that order right?
1.) Flash HardSPL 2.08
2.) Flash Radio 2.08xx
3.) Flash Magldr 1.12
4.) Flash Clockworkmod
5.) Flash Cyanogenmod
ive read that i have to have hardspl 1.42.0000 before flashing 2.08.
How can i check that?
on the one hand ive read that i need to install the drivers via windows update but ive also read that i need to install activesync??
which is the right Radio for me? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787) i have a German O2 512mb HD2
thanks for your help
First you need to make sure that there is a fully charged battery (it doesn't have to be but it helps).
Boot up into Bootloader mode (press and hold the Volume Down button then tap the Power button). You will see a four colour screen with the word 'Serial' at the bottom. On the screen you wil see SPL. As long as it is not 3.03 then you don't have to flash a non 3.14 ROM.
Now connect to your PC (you don't need activesync of WMDC, especially if you are going to run it as an Android phone). The 'Serail' will change to 'USB'. Run HSPL2 and select 2.08.HSPL
The phone will reboot. Again switch it on in Bootloader mode and connect to your computer. Download the 2.15.50 RADIO and run it (just tick the box about activesync).
Now you are ready to start the Android ROM flashing.
If you're using XP I suggest downloading ActiveSync because if you don't when you're running the DAF.exe file when flashing you'll keep getting this "DAPI.dll" error. That's only if you're using Windows XP though.

HD2 Useless, stuck at 0% with everything

Hey
I used the search button, but didn't find something that resembled my problem.
This is my problem:
*When I want to update my magdlr 1.11 to 1.13 through bootloader (I have
usb connection) the program keeps getting stucks at 0%
I have radio (Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14) that support 576mb Ram and I use "ROMUpdateUtility", which I start as adminastrator.
*When I try to update to magdlr 1.12, the exact same thing happens :s
*Hopin' to start from the beginning: I use Task29, that aswell gets stuck at 0%
*When I want to start from the BEGINNING (back to 6.5 winm), I use the stock 1.66 NDL HTC HD2 which I used to downgrade my firmware. That also gets stuck at 0%
UPDATE:
I JUST DISCOVERED WHEN I USE THE "THE PDA PHONE ROM UPDATE UTILITY" i SEE THIS:
FROM: IMAGE VERSION: (NOTHING,COMPLETELY EMPTY)
TO: IMAGE VERSION: 2.0.00.00
I use the bootloader with spl-2.08.0000 with a WINDOWS 7 laptop 64bit in administrator mode and tried with 2 different usb cabels with/without a microsd card of 1GB. I flashed steps 1-6 (see below) with no problems and I tried several usb ports and rebooted the laptop several times.
I just bought a 2 week old HTC HD2.
I didn't remove Winm 6.5, when I installed Magdlr, WinM didnn't come up
These where my exact steps and all the files came from this site:
1) I downgraded the htc hd2 firmware to have spl to 1.6 from 3.03(something)
2) I used Hspl to Hspl 2.08 (something) (with windows center mobile 6.1 (update))
3) I updated the radio to Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14
4) I used magdlr 1.11
5) I went to usb mass storage on magdlr and put "TyphooN_CM7_v2.5.1" (from this site) on the SDcard
6) I then went to USB flasher and went to the "Recovery 135M" (from this site) and executed DAF.exe and followed the steps
7) my phone rebooted
8) FROM THIS MOMENT ON,I REALISED I NEEDED MAGLDR 1.13 INSTEAD 1.11 AND FROM THIS MOMENT the HTC keeps at 0% when I try to do anything.
I hope you understand my ramblings.
Could you please help out, got this as a birthday gift and my dad is going to get pissed after using an iphone 2G for 5 years long :-(
2.08.0000 is stock, any spl in Bootloader that ends. 0000 is stock. Task29, magldr, all need hspl, 2.08.0000 is not hspl. Whenever you flash stock from SD card, hspl is gone.
Re apply hspl.
Man, If I were gay, you wouldn't know what I would do to you !!

[Q] HTC HD2 bricked, can load bootloader cant install any ROM

HI everyone,
This is the first time for me posting a thread here...thanks in advance.
Well I have a HTC HD2 that is a friends of mines. He was trying to change the radio so it could work in another country and managed to brick the phone. He got tired of trying to fix the phone so he gave it to me. I have tried fixing it with a tool kit I downloaded in another thread here. I managed to get it to boot butt it wouldn't get past T-Mobile screen...I kept on messing with it trying to install a ROM and different radios but non will work and wont turn on anymore but still is able to be recognize but PC(not mobile media center) and the last thing I did was task29. It stopped at 99%...still can load bootloader 3 colors but having a harder time getting the phone recognize by PC. Can anyone help me before I get into a deeper hole? If your need any more detail please ask me...btw the phone is running SPL- 3.03 HSPL in boot loader.
to the rescue !!

your friend shouldnt have flashed the radio without proper info !!
radio is the only thing which bricks the device !!!
dont worry we'll try to sort something out !!
firstly start with flashing a proper radio !!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
download the radio 2.15.50.14 from this thread and flash it !!
NOTE : if you cant flash radio from ur pc, via nbh installer or the toolkit, you can flash it from a memory card !!
just format a normal memory card, put the radio on the card, rename the radio file to LEOIMG.nbh and get to the bootloader screen !!
follow the instructions from there and flash the radio !!
secondly if you want android or wp7-7.5 on ur device !! hspl 3.03 wont work !!
so install hspl 2.08 for that !!
for winmo6.5 3.03 is ok !!
do a task 29 once and flash any rom or magldr(for android or wp7-7.5)!!
good luck .....
thanks for quick reply
I am trying to do what you instructed me.
Didn't work
I tried it on the PC and it sadly stopped @ 96%, now it wont turn on volume down+power. Battery was charged and i didn't turn off. It displayed error 262. as soon as I can I will try it on sd card. Thanks though.
I was not able to install the radio but did in fact get to task29 successfully and MAGLDR Version-1.13. Now my phone is stuck in the Stick together screen. Can anyone help me from here what should I do. thanks I will be waiting for a responce.
Do you still need help cos its really easy to unbrick your phone and I say this because once I flashed 5 different roms in 2 hours or less and my phone wouldn't even turn on and when it did it would get stuck on the tmObile splash screen and restart but I fixed it and now I'm running the best Rom out there lol... reply to this thread and I'll tell you what to do

The thing is that I can't get any ROM's to finish installing...in the SD card the power button does not work...and in the computer the fartest I gotten was 99% but always stops and gives me error ussualy Error 262. Ireally don't know what to do. MY friend said he took it to an Asian Guy...I noticed that the battery S/N does not match the phone...can this have an effect...I haven't been able to flash any ROMS successfully not even the debranded stock. I flashed several phones and installed many different custom firmwares but this phone has been a real challenge...I'm over 2 weeks in...Thanks for the help thus far you guys are the best...
leoimg.nbh won't start to install
Hi everyone,
I have a severe problem with my HTC HD2 after installing a NAND version of android which did not work very well, than wanting to reinstall winmob 6.5 (vodafone) it startet "loading" the leoimg.nbh from the SD-card, but than stayed in this status neverending. So I interrupted (was that the mistake?? :-( }. Now I'm able to start MAGLDR 1.13, am also able to install another NAND version, but with every version I get the message: problem with android.xxx and so on.
I can start the bootloader modus (SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE), also connect by USB, but if I try to reload any leoimg.nbh from SD card - it does nothing, just stays in the bootloader modus.
Did I destroy any hardware by interrupting the non functioning "loading"?
Please help, if you can, what I could do now to get a functioning NAND android again!
Many thanks in advance!!!
freak just try the task 29 and u might return everything to normal condition
and for future never interrupt the installation process as u can brick ur device
for the main topic, i can say that ur device is fully bricked and the only way is taking it to the service center or try flashing directly into the hardware, but thats dangerous and requires professional skills
Plz help!

Please tell me what to do..

First of all; This steps can solve your problem. But first of all(don't forget to check 2.08.HSL) try to use "Task29" and if it is success, load Radio ROM 2.15.50.14, and load original Winmo 6.5 ROM (Tmous or EU which phone do you use).
If you are stuck somewhere, then;
Download an original ROM for your HTC device from HTC webside.
- Format your SD card like FAT32 primary.
- Take "RUU_signed.nbh" from an original ROM and copy it to your SD card.
- Rename to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset your device while pressing the volume down button.
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14;
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1; ( contains task 29, magldr and recovery and also HSPL)
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1
it's revived!

After several attempts to switch on the phone it finally turned on so I immediately installed stock ROM and it didn't get stuck on 0%.. it worked!!
Do you think I should perform a task 29 now or I can just proceed with installing a new radio and then installing a new ROM?
Thanks again mate!
Apparently I need to install SPL 2.08 before trying to install HSPL and then run android.. anyone know where I can find it?
Nevermind figured everything out Thanks anyway

If you want to change your ROM with one another like Android NAND ROM or Windows 6.5 ROM, then use this procedures.
For NAND Android ROM; You must flollow this sequence;
first check your device if it is 2.08.HSPL, and format your sdcard ext3 or ext4 and 1gb (which one you must use is pointed out by your Android chief). Copy new Android ROM into your sdcard's FAT32 section. insert it into your HTC device.
1. do task29
2. instal radio rom 2.15.50.14
3. install magldr 1.13
4. do recovery 5.0.2.6
5. do clear cache and dalvik cache.
6. Choose your android ROM .zip file on sdcard, load and enjoy...
For Windows 6.5 Follow this sequence;
first check your device if it is 2.08.HSPL, Format your sdcard like FAT 32 primary partition. insert it into your HTC device.
1. do Task29
2. Install Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
3. Run LeoCustomRUU.exe like "Run as Administrator" which Windows 6.5 rom you chose to use.
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14;
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1; ( contains task 29, magldr and recovery and also HSPL)

Are you booting into bootloader and connecting the device to your computer so you can get the HTC Sync connection. Just boot into bootloader by holding the volume down button down and poewering on your device. Connect it to your computer via USB and when you see Serial in the white bar of boo5tloader change to USB you have the HTC Sync connection and can flash your device.
I face a very odd problem with my HD2 EU. After years of 2 different versions of Android on nand I decided to reset it to stock(Vol down+power with leoimg.nbh in root of a FAT32 formatted microsd). When I get in bootloader mode there seem to be 2 instances of bootloader. The first 3 colour screen with all the right wordings lasts a second or two then I get a second 3 colour screen with the same wordings. With my Verbatim 8Gb class4 microsd formatted FAT32 and leoimg.nbh (obtained from the original RUU_Leo_HTC_ITA_1.66.408.1_Radio_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Signed_LEO_Ship.exe) in the root directory, the device does not recognize the file and it's not possible to restore the phone to stock, but I can only get into usb connection.
Being able to get in usb mode with the various versions of HSPL (1-2-3-4) I can still change the bootloader. With the HD2 Android toolkit 4.2.0.1 I can install cLK, Magldr, do a Task29 and repartition.
When I use the RUU installer I can install the RUU_signed.nbh that I used to get the leoimg.nbh BUT when I do it, and it does finish gracefully, on the screen that states the currently installed image THE INDICATION OF SUCH AN IMAGE IS BLANK whilst the name of the image to install is the one I am flashing. If I reflash the same image AGAIN (so I know what's on the device) the info of the installed image is never displayed. So after trying the various bootloaders HSPL and SPL and getting the same result you are my only resort.
Has anybody experienced such a problem? It is as if the the bootloader goes through a script that then starts a second "identical" bootloader (I understand that I may seem crazy) that is not capable of recognizing a leoimg.nbh. All my buttons are still working so it's definitely not a button problem. Therefore in a nutshell the question is: if I can't get the device to recognize a leoimg.nbh is there any other way to make it do so, given that I can communicate via usb without problems ?

[Q] Half Bricked HTC HD2 Leo, How to revive

This phone came to me to upgrade to Win7
I used HSPL and installed 2.08 HSPL OK
But the phone will not connect to active Sync
I tried to flash in Bootloader mode, YET didnt work.
So I Installed Win 6.5 again all ok,
Still tried Win7 again, didnt work and phone cant boot complete again
I used SD card to flash win 6.5 ok, but cant connect to Active Sync
So I did Task 29, but it stops on 4%
Now phone can only stay in hspl 2.08 (I cant put normal 2.08)
Anyway, now phone can only flash to 1% by PC
By SD Card it fails around 4% (on RADIO V2)
Its a LEO (not TMOUS)
Ideas pls
HM you tried to flash WP7 rom using three colour bootloader mode_? you need to install magldr 1.13 first to install WP7 rom. You actually cant flash WP7 rom using phones original bootloader.
If you go to bootloader mod using Vol down and power menu Activesync will not detect your phone but you are still able to flash HSPL 2.08.
You can also perform task 29 using MTTY tool.
I dont recommend you flashing stock rom using SD card as it overwrite HSPL and in latest Shiped roms SPL is updated to version 3.03 which is not compatible with Magldr 1.13.
If you are stuck in HSPL try first to install HSPL 2.08 using HSPL4. You can find hspl4 here in forum just search.
After you installed HSPL2.08 using HSPL4 install Magldr 1.13 go to Services in Magldr Menu and select uselast24MB in NAND. Now you are ready to flash WP7.
Go back to main menu in Magldr and select USB Flasher mode and connect the phone to PC. Run flasher on the pc and flash. After that phone will reset.
Also make sure that your SD card is compatible with WP7 rom. Not all work with Windows Phone 7 Rom. I use sandisk 4gb and it works well.
just remember ANYTIME you flash a stock rom you are going to loose EVERYTHING (Hspl, MAGldr/cLK, CWM, etc) so you have to start from scratch to get anything (aside from winmo 6.x)
good luck

[Q]stuck at recovery; serial change to usb

Hi everyone!
I am very sorry for such a n00b-post, but I really cannot find a solution.
The problem:
I recently got a HD2 of a friends who did not use it anymore, because Android suddently stopped working. Now it's stuck at a black screen [A] saying:
aMAGLDR V1.13
Build: Feb 1 2011 03:46:07
by Cotulla 2011
I tried resetting the phone using the red button near the battery, but it did not solve the problem. I am able to boot the HD2 into recovery-mode (colory screen) but then, after connecting to a pc it does not change from "serial" to "usb".
I have installed WMDC on my W7 64-bit system. I have also tried to use "RUU_Leo_HTC_NLD_1.66.404.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship" (from the 4shared "shipped LEO roms"), but none of them recognises my HD2 neither in Recovery nor in the black screen [A].
Is this phone useless? What can I try to revive it?
What might be helpfull: when normally booting, the phone vibrates once during the HTC-screen and 5 times after the black screen [A] appears.

Since you're unable to connect to PC, then you can't re-flash HSPL.
HSPL needed to force flash any shipped WM6.5 ROMs to HD2.
Then the only way is to flash original WM6.5 ROM for your device from uSD.
If you're not sure what CID, just download any HD2 shipped ROMs and try to flash from uSD.
Just be careful not to flash EU's ROM on T-Mobile device!
Extract the ".exe" file, then rename the ".nbh" file into "leo.nbh", copy that to root of uSD.
Power up your device while pressing vol down button.
Don't worry if the ROM refuse to flash, it's just a wrong CID.
But to make sure, connect your device to another clean PC (without android drivers inside, just WMDC), preferably a PC sets for syncing WP7/WP8 devices.
And make sure your device turns on by itself when charger is connected (auto turn on from off state).
That's just to make sure that usb connector is not damaged.
HD2 vibrate 1x at power on, it's normal.
Vibrate 5x after magldr shows up, I suspect something wrong with magldr or the ROM itself (corrupted or something).
Another possibility is some NAND bad blocks.
But if it's vibrate 5x at power on, then you have a bad luck.
The point is, flash the original ROM first.
If it's success, then flash HSPL.
After that, the rest is up to you..
Firstly, I want to thank you very much for your quick and extensive answer!
But I have only one tiny question: are these the ROMS which I can find at http: //www . 4shared . com/dir/22189940/b8552fa0/Shipped_Leo_ROMs.html#dir=MGRa1Cen ? And you mean I should just pick one and try?
You can also find HD2 shipped ROMs here.
Anything that has "TMO" are T-mobile ROMs, otherwise it's EU.
Again, don't flash EU's ROM on TMO devices!
The first 3 digit are the ROM version (1.66, 1.48. etc.), 3.14 is the latest WM6.5 ROM.
The next 3 digit are CID code (207, 404, 707, etc.).
Like I've said, if you don't know which CID for your HD2, then just download all ROMs from different CID then flash it one-by-one using uSD.
Thanks!
So far I have tried the 404 and 162 (edit: and 161, 911), but so far without luck. I'll keep you posted!
Tiny question: is it normal that I cannot shutdown in Recovery Mode?
Perhaps some useful info shown in Recovery:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like an EU HD2, TMO HD2 are rarely using hynix nand, made around late 2009 or early 2010.
Just try to flash ROM with CID for your friend's country first.
If failed, then try another CID.
There should be one or two info about CID number vs. country somewhere around.
Good luck!
Sent from my Windead Phone 7 using xda app-developers app
At this moment I have tried all the NLD roms with no result. Also I have tried roms from several european countries, but none of them works:/ Might it help if I give the serial number?
And what might be worth saying: my phone turns on when connected to AC power / wall-charger; when connected to charger the "serial" disappears...
Thanks for all your help!!!
Have you try connect to other PC?
When flasing ROM from uSD and failed, what error message you got?
If it's "CID mismatch" or something like that, than it's definitely a wrong CID.
If it's "ROM update error bla bla bla", it's most likely corrupted flash image or the uSD itself (use a small sized uSD, 1gb would be fine).
Even if you flash the correct CID, without removing HSPL first, it would still throw an error message "ROM update error bla bla bla" during flashing Radio.
Then it will restart and retry to flash again on it's own.
By the way, I don't know if there are ways to flash HSPL from uSD.
Or guide on how to make a "gold card".
I sugest you search it.
Worth to try if you couldn't find the correct CID for your device.
CID from serial number?
Yes, back in 2010/11 HTC site provides s/n checking for download the correct ROM.
But now it's gone.

Thank you very, very much for helping such a newbie ^^
At this moment, I am able to get into the update-menu: I changed the filename to LEOIMG.nbh. The only problem is that all the Dutch images give the same error: 00018003 : Radio (V2) - FAIL.
What could I do to solve this error? Use the freezer-trick or wouldn't it make any sense?
edit: it does boot when I connect to another W7 pc with WMDC (replies " Not connected" ), only it automatically starts the update-procedure (which fails).
There are no such thing as newbie, that's why we need to learn.
Error 00018003 during Radio flash?
I have no idea what error is that.
But first, are you sure that your friend bought the phone on local shop?
I mean, not imported, or when he/she travel overseas, or has the mainboard swapped at HTC service center.
It happens to me when my second HD2 suddenly has no signal, about 2 years ago.
Brought it to local service center and they swapped the mainboard without telling me.
And the swapped mainboard has CID from 404 (europe), the original was 707 (indonesia).
Okay, back to error something.
WMDC won't recognize the phone unless it's a working WM6.5 device, or a working WP7 device with WP7 SDK + Zune installed on your PC.
Just put the phone into bootloader screen (3 color screen), then connect it to a clean PC.
Does the "Serial" changed to "USB"..?
If it does, reflash HSPL 2.08 using HSPL4 package.
Then flash Radio ROM only, 2.15.50.14 is a good one.
Again, an EU HD2 can use either EU's Radio ROM or T-Mobile's Radio ROM.
But a T-Mobile HD2 can only use a T-Mobile's ROM..!
If the "Serial" doesn't change to "USB" but on your PC makes sound like something is plugged in, open device manager and look for an unknown device (no drivers loaded).
Expand it, what does it says?
To be honest: I am not 100% sure that it is an European (Dutch) phone. What I saw when I opened the phone's back was that the warranty-seals on the screws were molested. I don't think he got the motherboard replaced: way to expensive in relation to a new phone...
The bootloader screen gives now the following text:
RUUNBH
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0X05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Upgrade ROM error
Please try again
When I connected it to a clean pc, the phone booted and gave another upgrade-error, only this time on a black screen (I got the uSD out the phone).
After booting the phone and connecting to a pc the "serial" does not change to "usb"...
When I tried to install WMDC I get the error "Installationpackage not supported by processor". Seems like bullcrap, but there it ends. No yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager...
I have yet not tried to flash a T-Mobile ROM to the phone. I have tried all the NLD ROM's: 1.66.404 ; 1.48.404 ; 1.66.404 ; 3.14.404 ; 1.66.404 ; 1.43.404
I have yet not tried the other ROMs I downloaded, but I will tomorrow. To start 161 does not work.
Also: I cannot shutdown when in bootloader or MAGDLr, is that correct?
What colour are your call & end key buttons !
if white you have standard EU type model. T-Mobile EU models are same as any EU model & can flash any ROM/Radio
If green & red you have a T-Mobile USA model (TMOUS) & need correct ROM (found in HD2 Wiki)
T-Mobile USA model needs care as if flash wrong radio version you can brick it.
Flashing via SD card should be last choice as first stage of a SD card flash is install of the SPL to standard SPL from the nbh which means you have no CID bypass as HSPL gone.
ideally you need a Windows 7 32bit machine with a known working WMDC setup & try flashing a suitable rom once decided on EU or TMOUS device.
As you have HSPL on your HD2 already it will bypass CID if flash via PC so you can flash any CID code rom.
Try connecting device to PC (with known good WMDC) and use reset button on HD2 to boot to bootloader & see if get any luck in running ROM installer from PC.
If lucky the USB flash issue is PC & drivers rather than hardware on HD2.
I would suspect you have nand issues on HD2 or perhaps worse, if nand sometimes you can get it back if persistent & get something to flash completely.
Thanks MisterB for adds up.
So am I, suspected a nand issue.
The reason I want him to revert back to original SPL & Radio is to make sure that it's a nand related problems, not radio hardware problems.
If he managed to find the correct CID for his phone, he could easily reverts back in case somethings wrong in the future after playing with custom ROMs.
This also happens to my friend's phone a couple months ago.
But in her case, the bad blocks are definitely located where magldr resides, and many more on data partition.
She can flash shipped ROMs completely, but it refuses to boot.
Can't flash a WP7 ROM because magldr freezes when it's loading, can't even bring the menu screen.
She can run a native sd android build for a couple weeks, but then it acting strange again.
Then finally she just gave up and bought another phone.
@andrejazzz:
You can't shutdown on bootloader (3 color) screen.
Remove the battery is the only way to shutdown, or press the reset button to restart.
But you can shutdown/restart or anything else on magldr menu screen.
Press & hold power key right when magldr loads up (before it's start to "go go go").
In addition, you can download WMDC x86 version here, and x64 version here..
He may indeed need try SD flash but I would exhaust all options of USB cable flash via PC first as retaining HSPL will be useful to start with as any generic HTC ROM could be used for the USB cable flash.
If that is not possible then flashing via SD is only viable option & indeed many times only way get over bad boot/nand issues but with all the CID versions for HTC regions & operator branded regions you have a hard job knowing the right one, you could even try the right ROM & as it does not flash overlook it for further testing.
I see he has tried SD flashing but still has HSPL so either SD card is not best suited for nbh flashing or nand/hardware that bad even first stage of flash is not possible.
If I was testing this device & trying recovery I would probably try freezer test to cool device prior flashing & make good effort on USB flash before going on to SD card.
Most well used Android HD2s these days have nand or bga issues to some degree as android works the hardware so much harder than WM6.5.
You really need be sure PC & driver are known good for flashing & if going to SD flashing that SD card is suitable or you will waste a lot of time & effort.
Loads of links & tips for all the software & some threads are in the HD2 Wiki
I apologize for replying so late, but I have had no time: I had a few tests at school
@Mister B: I have a black HD2 with white icons, so I have a european model.
I have installed installed the X86 on a clean 32-bit system, but it does not recognize the phone. I have reinstalled the WMDC on my W7 64-bit system, but still it does not recognize the hd2. I have no other Windows Phones, so I am not able to verify the WMDC-installations.
When I connect to a pc, the phone boots and shows: "Software update failed! Please try again"
@Shadow_Nexus: Correct, that is exactly what happens. I do not completely understand what you mean with "Press & hold power key right when magldr loads up (before it's start to "go go go")", could you please explain?
@Mister B: How could I check if the SD-card might be the problem? It is a 16GB Class 4 Kingston SD. I have tried all the NLD-roms and other versions (random countries, not TMOUS). I have tried the freezer trick with a NLD-rom on a mSD, but it did not work.
Thanks for all your help!
Best using a 2gb or 4gb (8gb max) card for nbh flashing & do a proper fat32 format with something like hp format tool before using it.
link below may help:

Again, thank you very much for your reply. But: do you have any clue what ROM's I should try? I am asking this, because I have already tried all the NLD ROM's I found on the site @Shadow_Nexus gave in post #4, but every one of them returns the same error. Should I switch to another country and try, for example, all German ROM's?
I got my hands on another HD2 and when I connect that one to my pc it show up, named "HTC Sync". The bricked one still does not respond:/ Should I retry all the non-TMO roms I can find?
Edit: My brother "helped" me out and sold the phone...
