I have problem configuring MMS manually
with old 1.08 ROM, I could add MMS service manually
but now with 2.26, new servers and set as default are greyed out
how can I enable them?

I have the same problem here. I was trying to workaround problem by manually editing settings in registry, but it did not work for me.
You can try to edit settings to match your network, by going to key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\test
I modified to match my provider but still no luck. Phone did connect to via GPRS but it doesn't send any MMS.
Has anybody found a way to configure MMS?
Could somebody try to reverse engineer registry settings for MMS and show us how to configure it?
Check that HKLM\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\test\ConnectionVia value matches HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Destinations\YOURE_ACCAOUNT_NAME\DestId?
i tried both and no result

I checked it and everything is OK, however I still cannot send MMS.
According to my provider I should set WAP Version to 1.2,
Do you know what is appropriate value of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\test\WAPType for 1.2 wap version ( I assume that this is appropriate key for WAP Version)?
Here are current settings I have for my provider (HR VIP):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\test]
"ConnectionVia"="{B0FC015F-F12A-0D4D-9A42-B0D03CE50FB8}"
"Gateway"="212.91.99.91"
"GatewayPort"=dword:9201l
"MmscURI"="http://mms.vipnet.hr/servlets/mms"
"Name"="VIP MMS"
"RecvDefault"=dword:512000l
"SendDefault"=dword:307200l
"WAP1DefaultSize"=dword:307200l
"WAP2DefaultSize"=dword:307200l
"WAPType"=dword:1l

Setting WAPType to dword:0 solved my problem... I am able to send and receive MMS-es. I also think that max sizes of messages is too high, but I did not test it. I think it should be OK unless you try to send messages bigger than your network allows.

Did anyone ever find the way to make these options available?
In your registry goto:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Arcsoft/ArcSoft MMS AU/Config/UI
There you will find a key called "EnableServerEdit" set it to 1 and you will be able to edit the server settings.
Hey, i have att and i can get a mms but i cant send them, i take a pic with the camera, and when i try to send it it says it is resizing it. It just hangs there for a long time and then it fails.
Do i have to configure something, or is there settings somewhere to change the size.
thanks
Check your APN settings for MMS... you probably forgot to set it.
where do i find the apn settings? when i find then do i go into settings wireless and networks, then mobile networks, then access point names, in that it says cingular 410 in there. should i have a different one in there?
thanks

When you click on the APN that you have, you should see an entry for MMSC. That's where the server information, which is just a URL, will go for your MMS through AT&T. Search Google or call AT&T for the server address for your MMS, as well as any proxies, if necessary.
Ok i got it, it was missing a few setting.
Thanks to all that helped.
This is by far the best site for the htc.
Thanks again
Ok so I downloaded hypersensedroid which i love but the thing is that my 3G internet does not work at all. Is there a possible solution to that?
Check your network settings and APN settings. If APN is blank, you need to fill with t-mobile data settings. search forum for settings. I know the network setting begins with epc.tmobile.com.
Search is a great invention!

MMS settings on Network profile application is wrong for my network, any way to correct it ?
You'll need to Developer unlock with Chevron and see the other posts in this Forum. It still may not work but worth a shot if MMS is important to you.
Hi There,
I have rooted verizon S5 with GV.
Just switched to use Hangout instead of GV for sms. SMSs are working fine, however, MMSs are not working. I can send, but can't receive. I was hoping to change APN, unfortunately, when I change APN in hangout, it is not get saved (except for if I change the port only) and I don't have an option to change APN in the phone settings. Create a new APN (a plus sign) is greyed out.
Please advise...

Did you check in the Settings > More networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Name?

Huhmm, it seems the firmware has blocked the ability to edit or change the APN.
You may need to flash another unbrand firmware to bypass it.

Yeah, I've contacted both Verizon and Samsung and Samsung rep told me that they blocked the ability to change APN. The setting that I have now is the default one and can be changed by Samsung (or custom ROM).
Trying to get in touch with Google if they have plans to override firmware APN since they have APN configuration option in hangouts.

Ok let's try and feedback.
If it does not work, you can flash unbrand firmware.

Send feedback to google hangouts, no response yet (usual for Google
However, found apn-conf.xml in /system/etc/ which has conf data for multiple situation (internet, roaming and etc.)
I've changed the original settings to apn type (removed dup and added mms) and port (port=80), however, when I try to change MCC and MNC to the settings provided by Verizon rep, APN fail and phone doesn't have any internet connection. The original settings are MCC=311 and MNC=480... Verizon (and a lot of sites on the internet) recommends to use MCC=310 and MNC=012

Regarding firmware: I feel a little skeptical about unbranded firmware. I'll have to remove all my configurations and it will void the warranty. Besides, I like Samsung dialer. In any case, what unbranded firmware would you recommend?

1- apn-conf.xml is a file used for auto configuration at the initial step. It will NOT actually affect your current APN settings.
2- Typically you should not manually modify the MCC-MNC parameter. If you want to do so, you need enter the proper value. To obtain the right MCC-MNC value for your network, install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app, scroll down to the MISC INFO section and see "Mobile Network Code" info.

The Mobile Network Code shown in your app is the same as in APN, however, Verizon recommended to use different, which I can't use since APN get crashed when I put them in... chicken and egg question...

I found a new firmware from VZN (4.4.4). Do you know if my rooting will be broken after I upgrade to it?

There is an instruction how to update and keep root for Verizon Galaxy Note 3.
You can try it if you want. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55518593&postcount=7
