[Q] Remove Bluetooth device - Trophy General

About to pull my hair out here . I have deleted the pairing on my radio, but I can't resync with it until I remove the Bluetooth device from my phone . Anyone know how to make this happen? Not really a lot of options to try .

You might have to factory reset your phone. Back your apps up first using astro or similar. Make sure you've synchronized your contact lost etc too. Then it won't be too painful to set your phone back up.

Stolen Phone

Hey,
I've been lookin for an App that can locate my phone via GPS if it gets stolen, and found the app, Where's My Droid, but it seems like it have a limitation, coz u have to enable GPS before getting the phone stolen, or lost, nd lets be honest, it's a battery killer, and you wouldn't enable it everytime you are out So have any of you seen a program like this, or would have the functions like:
Silent enable GPS via "Special SMS"
Silently reporting to your spare phone with location
Automatic detection if the SIM has been changed and send back the new number
Runs on startup silent and is active at all times
Password protected Menu
At my old HTC Touch Diamond WM 6.1 i had a software called W.I.M.P ( Where's My Phone) wich had these functions, wich made it easier to track a phone if it got stolen.
Hope someone out there have a solution

Just looking at it now, and wow!! As far as i can see, this is exactly what Im looking for are you using the app your self?

I am using wavesecure as I got a deal on the subscription for just £10 for the year.
It is a very good piece of software and works very well.
It uses gps to track the phone but will only activate it if it needs to send the location of the phone so not on all the time.
Would recommend it.

I use wavesecure its great!
I got a subscription via the MoDaCo Plus scheme.

Another vote for Wavesecure.
Their service is impeccable - I have logged ticket requests asking general questions about Wavesecure and their responses have been very through and within 12hrs.
The application is great, make sure you follow the guide on installing the application as a system application, which will make it hard reset proof in case some clown steals your phone and tried to wipe it.
EDIT: I cant post links outside of this forum so I cant hotlink you to their site and guide.
GPS only drains battery when used (i.e. when you open an app that needs GPS like Maps etc.) and when u see the icon in the TopBar. Theres no need to turn it off. I always have it enabled and there is no noticable battery drain...
--> You can use WheresMyDroid without any problems

The problem with wheresmyDroid is that you can't remote enable it, so It's pretty easy for the thief to turn gps off

A free alternative would be "Lookout mobile security"
Seach on the market.

AntiDroidTheft can do that, but I don't think it's hard reset proof.

You can't just uninstall it without a password, but it can be removed if the thief does a hard reset. If he does that before changing the sim card, this program is useless. If he doesn't hard reset, you can locate your phone and you will get an email when he changes the sim card.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I would definitely recommend WaveSecure.
If someone changes the sim card, it sends a text message to any number(s) you have set up for it. The text message contains the phone number of the newly inserted sim card.
I've been using it since the start, and I wouldn't be without it.
OK, I know it's not free, but it's very cheap compared to replacing your Desire!
Take a look at Prey in the market or at preyproject.com
Completely free, and starts tracking your phone once activated and sending you regular reports with location, ip and traceroutes. If the sim is replaced it can send an SMS to another phone number. They also have apps for PC and Macs. Nice to have it all under one account

Also check out mobile defense, similar to wavesecure but I like the UI more. Better yet use both .

you could try uninstalling a few to get the number under about 40, that is when they appeared on my screen.
I like the letters as a shortcut, and felt foolish swiping my phone constantly to get to youtube
I wonder if the 40 setting can be changed to more...or disabled in the reg.....

If you had access to the full reg and you new what you were looking for, the answer would be yes (but you cant.......yet)
Personally i like this feature of mango, esp when you have oodles of apps installed like me
any news?
40+ apps? WTF! ? !
I've got 3, and don't even use those much. No wonder everyone's having battery drain issues, mine's bad enough.

This bugged me pretty quickly after I tripped the limit (I don't have enough apps to justify the jumplist) so I went registry hunting.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Start
DWORD: GroupingThreshold
Change it to something larger. Mine was somehow set to 0 or 1 (can't remember which offhand). Turned it up to 45 (0x0000002D), did a soft reset/power cycle, and all was well.

Sure. Press the on-screen search button and press the hard back key to remove the keyboard. You now have an app list without the letters.

Apps start themselves in background

Hello guys I have a strange question:
a friend has the problem that sometimes he unlocks his phone, some apps are shown instead of the honescreen. He says he leaves the app via the back button, we could exclude that the apps start in the pocket. Also he shuts his phone off very rarely (right word?!? means not often).
Maybe you can help?
Thanks and Greets

He says its most of the times "contacts" or similar. so important and not ad-based. I think I will tell him to download an antivirus program to check his phone and something like sdmaid.
I mean if he doesnt start the app by himself, the app either has to start by itself or by another app right?
And if nothing helps could we really say that its caused by the software and tell him to do a factory reset or restore the system?

Windows 8 is Build 9200, heck Windows 7 was build 7600, or 7601 for Service Pack 1.
If it really says 7500 then I suspect you got sold a fake copy of Windows that won't ever activate right.
If it is legit and you just wrote in the wrong number why didn't you keep the key? Without it there's really nothing that can be done.

If your copy is legitimate, you can get the activation code from microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/esd-support-phone-numbers
or http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2431699
If your copy isn't official then you shouldn't be asking about it on xda because it would be considered warez.
