Boot:
Copy all files to the root of your sd card, replace zimage (with the one from rogro82) and run haret (included).

Known issues:
- Telefone isn't disconnecting when pressing red button (you must press the on/off button)
Solution for screen flickering:

Internet isn't working:
Besure that you have a active data connection in Windows Mobile -> Boot Android -> lauch Togga and click on "Connect"
If you can't find "Togga":
You should just make a folder called "AndroidApps" in the root of the sd card and put this file in there:

It installs when android starts. Now you should have "Togga" in your programs list.
Solution for "No Network" "Not Registered"
You must disable sim pin in winmo, than run haret.

Good job! Finally a thread where everyone can put there issues with Android without spamming the development thread.
You could add some known issues and answers to the startpost if you want (see below).
Known issues:
- Audio isn't working
- Starting camera results in a crash
- Screen displacement while turning screen on (temporary solution: click power button until screen is aligned right)
- Mapping buttons not optimal

Android boot's fine, and calls seem to work as well. But that is Togga? I've searched the forum and looked around in the Android menues without getting any wiser.
You can find Togga at the bottom of the main menu (be sure that you have the latest files from dzo (16-01-2009 or 19-01-2009, see startpost).
When you launch Togga and click on "connect" then Togga setup a data connection.
I have a question more than a new bug; Is the android version in these downloads some kind of testing or special development version? Because i miss certain options that are available on the G1 (like Gmail for instance). I would like to check out how android integrates with my google apps account. Calendar, Contact and Gmail i mean. And, if so, is there a way to update to a full version of android without losing the kernel stuff?

Android isn't a specific development or testing version (for as far as I know). I think when Android is fully working all these applications will be working too.
I'm getting a "Kernel Panic". It says that something is "not syncing".
I've got:
- Khax Touch Diamond V2.
- Radio 1.59.44.02
- Active internet connection (WiFi)
- The file I extracted to the root of my SD card is:

Two things:
your active internet connection needs to be via gprs rather than wifi - there are no wifi drivers available yet.
you need to replace the Zimage that you have now with the one listed from rogro at the top of this thread.

It has a very slow startup.
SIM contacts are not accesed.
- Phone OK
- Internet Browser OK (some problems pressing buttons)
- Google Maps OK
- The search with Google at the right side of the home screen is not working. I could not enter any text. The keyboard just didn't appear.
Quite good, indeed!!! It looks amazing. What a big difference in the interface design... compared to Windows Mobile

Only the first startup is slow, the second should be faster.
i use the last zimage from rogro. it works and boots without problems.
good work.
some more things wich don't really work:
- Calendar is not opening
- telefone is not disconnecting when i press the red button
- gallery is not working - because of camera problem ? but i can access my photos over OI File Manager and over the wallpaper-menu
- IM is not opening
sound is disabled because of my old radio (1.59.42.15)...
which is the last version i should flash on my device to get it work?
i can connect to internet with togga - it shows me ip and everything - but neither google maps nor email nor browser find this connection. (server not found) also a radio issue?
Cant boot with sim card inserted, wihout sim all works fine. Last radio.

First off, thank you again to marcelkordek for starting this thread, using the instructions at the beginning I was able to get a working setup that I look forward to testing up coming zimages with. This is the first time I have been able to connect to the web and make calls with Android on my phone!!!
I can pretty much confirm all the listed known bugs but can also add the following one.
*Cannot import contacts from SIM gives an error 'No contacts on your SIM card'.

Also is there a way to exit out of Android back to Windows Mobile instead of doing a reset?

Congrats to the developers, and to marcelkordek for creating this thread.
Running fast and most importantly stable - can really see this being a viable alternative once the audio, contacts, calendar and sms/email bugs are sorted out.
Looking forward to the next update!
As there's nothing to 'install' (just copy stuff to the root of your memory card) I encourage everyone to take a look at this. Once you've finished playing, just soft reset and you're back to your Windows ROM.

Should we overwrite the zimage that comes with the 19-01-01 Android Package with the one from rogro82 ..?
I used the one from the extra archive.
Maybe also worth to include on the 1st post that after copying everything into the root directory you just start haret.exe

yes you must overwrite the zimage. the zimage incuded is only for KAISER.

2: in "About Phone" the Phone name says "HTC_Diamond2"
3: no browser snapshots in Internet tab ( my guess this is because you use opera 9.7 v36000 )
4: in Mail Setup wizard you can't enter domain ( field is grayed out )
5: Bluetooth toggle doesn't work in Comm Manager
6: Bluetooth icon missing in taskbar
7: WiFi wizard gets stuck after disconnecting WiFi

Edit: reflashed Cheetah but mail manual setup doesn't work without entering a valid email adress, it will however work when you enter a valid adress then go to manual setup, remove all entries in username.

Yes I tried it myself. Visual thumbnails works for some sites and for other it doesn't..
but it works.. something slightly different.. do you have pushinternet enabled?

Well i tried all the Opera 9.7 36*** packages in my Dutch rom and couldn't get them to show thumbnails at all. All the 95*** packages work. That's why this was one of the first things i looked at after flashing Cheetah
Also since Cheetah once again is a slim and speedy rom i've tried instaling andriod dual boot cab and tried booting Android, this was without any luck. Don't know why though.
Ok i just found out this other awesome program call ubuntu that you can put on your Hd2. I saw pics and videos of it and it looks like an actual mini computer on the phone. I was WONDERING if anyone knows where i can download it as well as how to put it in the phone. Also if you could please tell me a little bit more about ubuntu and its wicked features.

grab the edge of the windows and drag to the size you want, might need to disable the window being maximized (right click on the windows bar in the top bar, unmaximze)

gnome menu (enable in the panel)

if both show no alternative's, edit /etx/xorg/xorg.conf.
no idea if there are any other working resolutions.

Turning off MMU" etc text shows up, but at the point when the ubuntu should be booting, the text (shutting down hardware
Turning off MMU, jumping to kernel...) just fades out, screen goes blank and nothing happens.
I am currently using a 4gig SD card, could this be the problem, do i need more space?
I didnt find any other posts with this problem described so answers are greatly appreciated.

You have to update the Radio ROM to a newer version. See in Android Section for detailed instruction.

ROM is butter smooth and NO LAGS at all. I am using for a day and did not find any errors.

Manage root permissions in Permissions manager, you need to enable so that applications can ask for root access and you can deny/allow based on your preferences.

Did you "Clean Install" the ROM? Follow the steps like wiping out everything and then do a installation. This should work. Please try and revert.

Go to dialer
Dial *#*#4636*#*#
Click Phone information
Ensure the IMEI at the the top of the screen does display IMEI number of your phone
ensure the following parameters set [do not change anything, if you donno what you doing, please]
ensure "set Preferred network type" is equal to WCDMA Preferred
ensure "Turn off radio" is not enabled, if it is enabled, disable it
ensure "Turn on IMS registration required" is disabled, if it enabled, disable it

Yes, I have nova launcher through which i could see the icons for calendar and weather. the primary launcher did not show these items. may be i need to edit the apk... will try.... and revert ...

just install any miui theme or strip a default.mtz from a miui rom and install the same and apply, this problem is resolved. i dont have this problem now.
btw, the miui rom is the best ever fastets rom i have seen workinf for lava iris 504q with many features
hi..i cannot find the link for 4.8.1 full version ROM. the first link[g-drive] is for 4.7.1.
BTW hve to agree that of all the roms i hve used the miui v5 is the best.

MIUI V6 is on the way ....
Very good rom... But my phone memory is getting detected as memory card. Even after going into stock setting options and changing the default memory does not make any difference.is there any way to fix this problem ??

Thank you for such wonderful ROM, I've always been fan of MIUI
One Issue with the ROM.. the Internal and SD Card are been swapped and creating problem, request you to please provide some solution or will need to be back on my previous ROM.

- First message: "the operation didn't complete succesfully maybe the app can't get permissions or there's some problems during extracting files. Try to soft reset you phone and retry"
- 2nd message: "Access is denied. Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)"
mhm... it seems that there's a problem with renaming the apps folde (you could try with a file manager).
Sometimes a soft-reset or remove-reinsert SD may help (I've resolved with this method)
However I've published the 0.3 of CustomWPSystem some minutes ago with a fix.
You can manually patch this app with a file manager?
I'll try tomorrow and I'll let you know.
Make sure you didn't install the swapping tool to the SD card, and that you don't have any SD-card-based apps running when you perform the swap. Either of those will prevent renaming the Apps directory.

I followed this (manually method) and works :good:
In version 0.2 I did not found registry tweaks useful for me. Also there was no useful tweaks from there. I can not write keys to achieve SIM contacts import/export feature and others. And can you please publish what the values has been changed to achieve each of your listed tweaks here?
Today I realized that something happens with the Preview for Developers app (changed to your registry editor). It`s just disappeared from the apps list, but marked as installed on the Store page. See more.
Version 0.3 available, as Always you can find the changelog and the download link within the first post
For the next version I will add Sim related tweaks and something related to the settings hub and action center, with Keys and value rename function.

Within the app, at accent color tweak, write R - G - B value of the color. Allowed values are from 0 to 255 (decimal for now)
Then, open settings > start and theme and you will see a new color within the color list with "olive" name

I tried doing it with the swaper and it gives the same error as the other guy, so as he did it manually, i tried it the same way.
The preview for developers app shows no Icons and wen i start it, it just shows Loading.... and nothing , just like that :/
