I am not able to connect to my university network based on Eduroam. Any solution?
Try to re-create connection. For me this works.
Delete stored connection/s and refresh. Works in most cases.
works for me with minicm7 2.0.7.

Anyone can fix this problem? I' ve tried with several roms and i can only connect to these networks by the stock rom. The problem is with ttls and pap connections

I believe, that it is related with wpa_supplicant binary. Personally, I cannot use my own WPA2-EAP-TLS network on X8 with GingerDX. Anyways, it worked with FroyoBread ,but reconnection was not possible without reboot - probably fast-reath error. I am not into compiling binaries for android, otherwise I would just download first .src.rpm from mandrivaand take this one instead.
How can we fix the wpa_supplicant binary?

I have the same problem. I´ve tried multiple ROM´s but never got eduroam working while it does work on stock.
I dont know, how to fix this, but I can use my private Radius server to dump some nice data (logs etc.). Of course, I don't know, if it will work with eduroam networks, but I can test many authentication variants (TLS, TTLS, PEAP) on both sides (client and server).

I've tried searching and can't find the answer.
If I flash my HD2 to android, what type of wi-fi hotspots will I be able to create?
I asK as I have a stock WM6.5 tmob rom and have a arnova tablet that cannot see my phone as the tablet does not recognise WEP encryption. And with this rom it's the only type of network i can create.
So if an android rom will allow WPA or even no encryption I think I will flash!

hiiiiiiiiiiiiii everybody am new member here and i hope to get help please
i have 2 big problems in my SE xperia x8 :-
1-wireless networks with password wpa/psk/wpa2 are connected to my mobile easily and it works good , but some another wireless networks with password also are connected to my mobile but it doesn't ask me to inter password so i open market or browser i cant find internet in mobile while settings says that network is connected why some times it doesn't ask me for password while network has password ?
2-i tried a lot of gingerbread versions and all of them have (force close error messages) in different applications i don't know anything about kernel or what is it's important i only can make root for my phone and install gingerbread versions and backup my original software
i want one version without force close error messages i hate it
and i don't have this force close error messages in my original software

Hi I am using GDX 24 + alfs kernel 8 and when I am connected to WPA2 wifi network. If I want to download something, connection allways freezes after some downlaoded megabytes and I need turn it off and on again. I tried full wipe and I had this problem also with stock kernel. I solve this problem at home with changing security to WEP but at school or anywhere I can't download anything if network use WPA2.
Have anyone this problem? How can I fix it?

forget/clear all networks, then menu -> scan, try to connect to any wifi network available... if its secured, just fill the password field.... WAP/WEP is a password encryption in a wifi network...

It is doing after fresh reflash with full wipe.

I tried it and as I wrote above it is doing after frash reflash rom.

hello mates.
I know there are already some threads about tethering (i know, i used "search" before creating new thread)
My problem is this:
i flashed a lot of roms found in the developers section. miui, cm7 and oxygen, actually i think i have tested them all, doing the 3 wipes EVERY TIME...(god bless titanium backup)
I never got wifi tethering to work properly not with native feature nor with any app on the market.
with pc 1/5 could make the tethering
with ics tablet and SE x10mini i got endless connect-reconnect making internet unusable and sometimes i could not even find u8800 in the list of available networks.
I tried sharing 3g with SE neo v and everything went ok perfectly stable connection.
So my question is: has anyone, in ANY rom, got the wifi-tethering to work properly?

Im using aurora and barnacle wifi tether. So far no problem.
Can you check your wifi mac please, it may be nulled.

Mac is ok, never updated to .35 kernel. I am sure that it is somehow prolly drivers problem on 8800 because if I share from other phones to my tablet connection is fast and stable
Could it been .32 problem?

Ive used miui for a long time and i was using barnacle. If i were you i would install 2.2 again and try the native one and barnacle.
If it wont work backup your imei and update to 5xx (.35) and try to tether. Anyhow you can go back abytime youll want.
