Can anyone tell me how to add more dock icons with Launcher Pro? Thanks
Regarding adding more dock icons, simply swipe the bottom portion of the screen left or right. It SHOULD take you to a set of five blank dock items. From there you simply long press on each icon you want to replace with a shortcut.

I need to subscribe to this

[Q] How do I get rid of icons in the top right of my notification bar?

Do I have to be rooted?
I want to remove the time, battery status, and alarm clock on/off icon.
Thanks.
You can run a home alternative like adw or launcher pro to choose to hide it.

No. I do not want to hide the entire bar, just those specific icons.
I'm interested also in removing those specific icons. The battery indicator is very inaccurate.

There is a "fix" for the inaccuracy. It's just loading up more graphics with incremental changes.
I use the switch pro widget which already contains a very accurate battery meter along with a bunch of other goodies.
The clock is useless to me simply because the lock screen before you get into your home screen contains a huge clock.
cyanogen gives these options. I dont know of another way. I have done one of the "accurate" battery mods and LOVE IT (check jonnybuenos theme out, amazing).

[Q]A few questions pertaing to the dropdown bar, icon placement, and 1.6 features

i am running dj_steves 1.5.1 and i was wondering about the following:
Is it possible:
to have the old feature from 1.6 when you press on the battery icon it gives you several toggles?
to get rid of the dropdown status bar (it is really annoying)
not make the icons adjust to the "snap" placement on the screen?
also is it possible to add more icons to the screen than the standard?

The answer for the first question (Black bar across top with drop down bar) is no. The framework has been changed in froyo so without the source code for dell's homescreen UI in 1.6 and 2.1, it can't be ported.
To add more icons to the screen, you're gonna have to use a different home screen launcher. With Dj_Steve's StreakDroid, ADW.Launcher and Launcher Pro are pre-installed.
I use ADW.Launcher and highly recommend it, you just need 30-45 min to sit down and go through all the settings to get it to how you want it.
To switch your default home screen, easiest way is to download "Home Switcher for Froyo" from the market.
Welcome to the forum, a few hints.
Rather than posting another post to follow up on your previous one (if no one has replied yet) please use the edit button.
2nd your question has been asked many times here in XDA and a handful of other forums, so please in the future, search with several keywords before you post.
Good Luck and feel free to ask more questions if you can't find the answer to them.
Thank you so much!

Not sure what u mean. Been using this a while now and I love the full screen It almost feels like a new device.
Biggest prob is probably that sometimes the task bar pops back up again.
I wonder is there a way to freeze the taskbar in tibackup?
full screen
I use adw ex and honeybar and it actually allows you to hide the top and bottom
and i use button savior on autohide and i have the full screen.

Yeah button savior might be better option instead of swypepad, it has back arrow...
HoneyBar does this in one program. An when u want the taskbar back, u touch a specific spot and it will pop back up

Honeybar is still available from the Amazon App store... US only perhaps? Seems the author has pulled it from other markets.

Since I got my tablet I have wanted to get rid of the bar down there and this has given me several options to play with. Can't wait to try them out tonight when I get home.
Thanks.

Is it possible to hide the on screen buttons like you can the task bar in Windows?

Just wondering if you can do this with previous Android phones that have these buttons? I dunno why Google think they're a good idea when they just take up screen space. I'd love to have them function like the Windows task bar when I can hide it but it comes back when I put my mouse cursor over it. I'd love to have it functioning so like I do a gesture and I can make it appear and disappear and have a setting also to make it appear and disappear when I have just one finger down there, not two so I can pinch to zoom.
Thanx.
Please search before posting.

Don't know about bringing it up at will, but you can certainly hide them so that you get the entire screen for usage. Search for LMT Launcher. I personally prefer on screen buttons to the comparatively 'ugly' hardware/ capacitive ones. Allows for complete customization. Go through the threads on the i9250 forums and you'll see what I mean.
