This is the history of my walla-bye...
I bought this one in USA in January, thinking in use it in Brazil! When I got here there was no way of working. Since there, I've read thousands of pages in xda-developers, from cooking rooms till freezing batteries, I did almost everything. It was originally an 1.2 xda cooked Rom, I tried the AT&T rom, TIM Italian ROM, German ROM, and right now I have a 3.16.50 PTB ROM. Yes! a Portuguese ROM, why not? Radio versions I had 6.24.00 I tried A.20.10, 4.16, 4.21 and nowadays I have a 3.23, but the Brazilian version uses a 3.19.00 which I couldn’t find an executable to download and downgrade.
Ok, let’s go... these are my doubts:
1) Where I could find a RUU 3.19.00 radio version? I need an .exe file, because I don't have a serial cable! Can be in German, English, Chinese, roman, Greek, anything!!!
2) Why I can't download my 3.16.50 PTB ROM to my computer HD via OSImageTool? I am getting the following message:
ERROR
H: 117.66M STORAGE DEVICE (my SD card) contains does not contain an htc sdimage card error opening input file
[ok]
What's the idea? What I am doing wrong? I want to do a BackUp of it, and I can't.
I know, actually I am trying to convince myself, that my walla is a really B1 model which will only work on US. But I still want to try a downgrade radio.

Pois eh, eu tambem naum tenho como atualizar para a sua versao de radio, a nao ser que possuisse um cabo serial para o wallaby. Eu estou procurando um executável que atualize esta versao de radio, na verdade eh um arquivo .exe que roda dentro do windows e atualiza via usb. Da mesma forma eu não consigo fazer um backup da versao de rom, ou seja o sistema operacional, que do partner eh o unico em portugues. tudo que eu consegui foi pegar um igual ao seu e copiar o rom para um sd card e entaum para o meu wallaby, so que eu nao consigo copiar para o computador, como se faz com os outros rom de todas as partes do mundo. A brasileira deve ter algum segredo. Eu, com certeza, agradeço a sua ajuda, e seria legal se vc fizesse o cadastro junto ao xda-developers, pois caso eu precisasse, poderia entrar em contato. Estou ainda pesquisando, mas agora tive problemas com a bateria e estou esperando que um amigo me mande dos EUA uma nova para voltar a usar o meu wallaby. entrei aqui - http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/ - que tem qualquer rom (menos em portugues pro xda1) se ele tiver travado instale uma rom com unlock xda pra poder rodar qualquer chip, ai depois vcs poderam instalar qualquer rom. de preferencia pra rom 2003 final versao 4.01.12 que fuciona certinho com o xda1 e o gradiente partner.
Para fazer backup de rom usem XDAtoos-jeff e copia a rom de dentro do aparelho para o pc e faz o contrario tambem e pode copiar pra dentro de um cartao sd ou mmc, melhor ainda se vc tiver um leitor de cartao cd/mmc
se precisar tamo ai

Unlock Gradiente Partner
Hi,
After a lot of tries, I got my Gradiente Partner unlocked. How I did it:
1) Went to http://www.romkitchen.de/
2) Clicked on the 'Pocket PC 2002 ROM' link.
3) In 'Select your Base ROM' chose '3.16.50 PTB'
4) I chose '3.17.03 ENG O2-Euro' with: 'Original AutoConfig Data' and '3.16.50 Original PTB AutoConfig data'
5) Choset the remaining options as desired with the 'XDAunlock' checkbox checked
6) Clicked the 'Build ROM now' button and when complete, clicked on the 'Download ROM'
7) Run OSImageTool
8) Selected the NK.nb1 file from the down load as 'Source'
9) Selected 'M: 235.33M USB SD Reader as 'Destination'
10) Clicked on the 'Copy' button to write the application ROM to the SD card.
11) Put the SD in the PDA
12) Hard reset, so the the Operating System was updated.
13) Then Programs|Phone|XDAUnlock file removed the SIMlock.
Well, that's all. XDA-Developers is a bless, thanks folks.

I bought a HTC Cruise in French and I would like to know how can I change to English? Please could you help me? I can´t use my phone... I´m just wanting to change the language and still with the original programs and caracteristcs.
you will likely have to flash your phone with an English ROM... i have yet to hear of a way to change the language on a PPC phone.

Download hard-spl.
Plug your pda to pc.
On Pc run RomUpdateUtiliy (from Hard-spl folder)
Now you will see on PDA a tricolor screen and will be asked replug your usb cable. DO IT.
After Few minutes pda will reboot, hard-spl is installed.
Download the rom.
Now, STEP MANUALLY to bootlader. (press and hold camera, and press reset)
You will see a tricolor screen with OLINEX on your pda.
On the pc run the RomUpdateUtiliy (from the downloaded rom folder)
After Few minutes pda will reboot, new rom is installed.

meu problema é esse mesmo, meu pda está todo em francês e eu não consigo ler uma palavra nele... não estou preocupado em mudar performance, incrementar, nada disso... só mudar o idioma.
Pelo que me parece, depois de ficar 3 dias lendo tudo quanto que é post neste forum, a única opção que tenho é usar esse hard-spl. Achei rom em PT mas vou acabar usando inicialmente em IN por achar mais seguro e estável, depois poderei mudar para meu querido idioma materno.
Tenho agora somente uma pergunta: você sabe se pelo fato do meu pda ser desbloqueado eu ainda sim tenho que usar o hard-spl para trocar a rom?

My problem is that, my pda is in french and I can´t read one single word in it... I´m not worry in change the performance, incresy, nothing of that... just change the idiom.
After been 3 days readding every post in these forum, the only choice that I have is use hard-spl. I found rom in PT but I probably use in IN because I think is more safety and stability then I would change for my maternal tongh.
Do you Know for the fact that my pda is unblocked I still have to use hard-spl?

First of all, I want to say that this is the best community related to PPCs, PDAs, etc! Everytime I'm confused about something within my Wizard, I come here... you guys just rock!
Well, now I'm posting for the first time, as I'm going to flash my first ROM and have a tiny silly question...
I have rolled through ROMs and ROMs that offered TouchFlo (Hornet, WizFlo, TNT, etc) and almost all of them had Manilla or the Cube...
My doubt is: all ROMs that offer TouchFlo, per say, also offer the real TouchFlo functions? Like, if I'm browsing a webpage and slide my finger down, the page will also slide?
And, if it's not asking too much, does any of these ROMs (Hornet, TNT, WizFlo) have that function?
I'm sorry for the noob question, I just need to know that. If this topic is way too repeated, please feel free to delete it.

We were ALL noobs, once. Your question is perfectly legitimate. However, it probably should have been asked on the Wizard Mobile 6 thread.
The answer to your question is equivocal. It depends entirely on the ROM, and in the case of your specific mention of web browsers, it also depends on the browser.
The ROM I have loaded on my phone does allow me to gesture for scrolling in Opera, but Pocket IE never supported gesture scrolling, to my knowledge...at the very least it doesn't in my phone. Your best bet is to figure out which ROM you like the looks of best (or which one has the programs and features you like, since looks are such a mutable feature), and ask the cook if he built that in, or not. I know this ROM came with haptic feedback for touch installed. I turned it off, to save battery power, but a less concerned user might find the haptics to be quite friendly.

eu acho que a melhor rom e aquela que tem UC CAPABLE
voce poderia utilizar a SNN (3.1 ou diamond edition)
a angel e boa demais, (uc capable significa que vc pode ter tudo carregado na memoy card e nao precissa carregar na memoria interna do aparelho)
Agora, a ANGEl a4 (eu acho, nao me lembro com exactitude) e a mais nova, tenta com essa ROM
As Roms que o cracing faz, sao otimas, nao sei o que vc procura com exatitude, mais se vc quer uma ROM completissima pega uma dessas do cracing

Looks great...but i think we have a lack of Portugal users over here...try making in English...best of luck!!!in d screen shots,the time in the task bar overlaps the quick menu icon in the same bar...be sure to perfectly test the ROM and then release or arrange beta testing sessions so that users can get to know what u really want to do and may be in that course of ROM making,many of ur problems get solved!!!nice efforts!!!best of luck again,and have a nice day!

It's my understanding that posts in a non English native language that also include an English translation are acceptable. Is this not the case?

Yes I don't see problem in posting in the native language since there is a translation for the English present in the post that Supahcokkie is catching on my foot because of a post of him that I copied part, but I will redo a relock post that I developed with just a click and a rom

If you wish to you could edit 1st post, advanced, put [GUIDE][addison] in front of title and move solved to end. That might make it easier for folks to find. bricked phones happen and if this works it needs notoriety.

I don't think so - if you can get to TWRP, you can flash a custom ROM, and then use this guide:
