So I recently wanted to flash the new radio to my phone, but after the radio is checked, it simply goes back and installed nothing with no errors.
Stock ROM: 2.2.1
The radio I currently have is 12.55.60.25_26.09.04.26 (HTC Panache Stock).
The radio I want to install is 12.58.60.25_26.11.04.03.
Other data:
GLACIER PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT- 0.86.0000
MICROP-0429
RADIO 26.09.04.26_M
eMMC-boot
If anyone could try and help me with this, it would be very much appreciated because my phone has practically no service and I definetely can't make any phone calls/ send text messages.
I'm sure there is something VERY fundamental or easy that I have screwed up. I really would appreciate some help on this issue. Thanks again!

s-on is your problem. You need to be S-off for you to be able to flash radios.
You do not have access to the /system portion of your phone, so you cannot write anything to it.

Hi All.
This might be a really dumb question, but I can't find anything in the forums that looks similar, so here goes.
I have an HTC Magic 32A bought in Bangkok, Thailand (where I still live), and when I got it, the salesperson offered to upgrade it from the stock no-sense cupcake to sense UI for me on the spot. Everything was working fine except for bluetooth (1.5's fault, not the ROM) and the GPS. I came back a month later and the shop upgraded it again to fix the GPS, this time telling me that the last guy had put a custom ROM in for me, but now I have the official ROM.
So now I have:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.76.2007 (SAPP 10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-6.35.07.29
My Build number is 3.04.401.2
From the looks of it, I have a rooted, official HTC ROM, right? I'd like to get 2.1 (perhaps CM5-Release-2.6.32.9-kernel, so I don't have to downgrade the radio and risk a brick), and I can boot to recovery (Ra-hero-v.1.5.2), but I'm worried that things aren't working right because despite all of the above, my phone isn't acting like a normally rooted phone.
Specifically, I can't wifi-tether (the app says I need root), and when I open a terminal emulator, I can su but when I tell it to "reboot recovery" it says "not permitted!"
That said, I can make a nandroid in recovery so I'm guessing everything is fine and that for some odd reason I'm only being denied root access at the application level..?
Is this right? Can I start wiping and flashing?
Thanks in advance for your patience and kind assistance.
Hey guys really sorry if this has been posted over a hundred times or whatever but I really need help. You have S-Off so just lookup on how to use fastboot commands to flash the needed radio, recovery and spl.
I really hope that this isn't a US T-Mobile device.

First combo, we could have helped you out...
But the second combo... ooohhh... bad one...
Perfected spl and wrong radio/spl combo... NOT GOOD!
Try to flash the sappimg.zip that gave you the first spl version (1.33.2010).
If you get that back, then we can work out the rest pretty easy!

Are you trying to intentionally brick your friends phone?
[RANT]
I'm guessing that you didn't do much reading before actually messing with his phone did you?
MyTouch 1.2 (aka Fender, aka LE) w/3.5mm headphone jack
Ultimate Guide: How to root myTouch 1.2/LE Fender (3.5mm jack)
Look, I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time but this is exactly what I was talking about a few days ago.
There is so much confusion over this device! It's not hard! Anyone that thinks that is is should have been around when the device first came out! DAMN THAT WAS ROUGH! But it was a learning experience. And through that learning experience we made apps (Androot) and guides and stickies JUST FOR THIS! Yet... how does this keep happening??? Someone explain it to me... please. I'm desperate to know.
[/RANT]
With that said... you are going to have to use a goldcard now that you have S-ON, still not rooted, no custom recovery, etc. You won't be able to boot the phone up because you are DEFINITLY using the wrong radio. You'll be lucky if you didn't completely brick it already.
Use the links above to create a goldcard. I'll warn you that this can be a pain in the butt ( not to mention that some sdcards are notorious for not working at all for this method!) because it requires getting ANOTHER android phone, putting the sdcard in to get the serial number of the sdcard (unless someone knows another way to get it), entering the code into a website to get the goldcard image e-mailed to you then using a hex editor to copy the bootsectors of that goldcard image enter the code into the hardware of the sdcard via card reader so you can use the freshly made goldcard, then all that's left is dowloading the right sappimg.zip file, placing it on the root of the sdcard and booting into the bootloader. You would flash the goldcard image At that point you will be have the Engineering (S-OFF) SPL again and the CORRECT radio. Once that is done you only need to fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (G type, not H)
Then flash the stock SPL back.
Then you will be free to flash a 32B type rom through recovery.
After you have done ALL OF THAT! Your friend might spare your life.
Here... try something like this. Maybe you can find someone to help.
http://hartford.craigslist.org/search/mob?query=root&srchType=A&minAsk=&maxAsk=
I think you're Hartford area... if not then just adjust if necessary.
I paid a guy on Craigslist to root my phone (to Android 2.2.1) for me and put a new mod on it like 2 months ago.
I don't like CyanogenMod's 6.1.0 lack of stability (most of the time it doesn't recognize external apps stored on the memory card (using Apps 2 SD) and most of the time apps don't get installed using Marketplace. I also hate the green tint.
I'd like to switch to Ginger Yoshi 1.0 RC7. I noticed I have this app on my phone called Rom Manager. Can I use it to install Ginger Yoshi ROM? If so how do I do it?
I have the HTC Magic 32A phone.
Sometimes Marketplace is able to update apps, sometimes not. Today I was able to update ROM Manager to 4.2.0.2.
Hello ablang. To install the Yoshi thingie ROM you must change the radio. Can you please boot into fastboot and type whatever information you see there? In order to boot to fastboot, power off your phone, hold the volume down button + power on.
Edit: I'd recommend you to install diet gingerbread. It's the pure Android system found on the new phones. Very stable, fast etc. But anyway, do tell us the info you see on fastboot loader.

Aha. You must change the hboot and the radio versions. First of all, I was in your position some days. I wanted to change the radio, things etc. You can do it, by using this program: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794450
Your hboot must be: 1.33.2010 or 1.33.2010
and your radio must be: 3.22(the old one)
Don't worry where to find those files though. The link I gave you, on which you will find the appropriate program to change those things, has the files you need.
Download it, and if you have a question, post here.

NO!! don't flash any radio or spl! give us ALL the fastboot info. and do you have a headphone jack(tmobile mytouch 3g 1.2)? if you do then flashing the 3.22 radio will likely cause a brick. i would suggest staying with the radio and spl that you have or if you want to, upgrade the radio to 2.22.28.25. anything else will have problems.
if you dont have a 1.2 and have a true 32a then idk what you need to do. wait for someone with a 32a to help. (but from the little info i saw you seem to have a 1.2)
Yeah guys I forgot to tell you that I do probably have the 1.2 version since it is white and has the 3.5mm headphone jack on top.
I tried to get as much of the fastboot info as possible but it moves so fast.

If yes you have a 1.2 device
get 2.22.28.25 radio and spl is fine, dont change it. Goto the developer sub-forum on this forum and click for gingeryoshi 0.7 and get the kernel there or look for the MT3G Fender 1.2 2.6.35-12-test4-10M kernel. Get your rom and flash the radio first. Then flash the rom. then flash the kernel. Then reboot. Wait 15-20 min for first boot.

If I can get root then things would be a lot better.
Any ideas to help . Thanks to everyone that helps
Well looks like I'm in more of a pickle becaues of my spl not allowing me to root my htc magic it looks like the only way to do this is to create a goldcard and then try again
Well I tried superoneclick to root my phone and it half roots my phone by putting the su file in the wrong place in the /system/xbin where it should be in /system/bin...? Any thoughts I need some help
What stock rom do you have? If you have 3.05.401.1 - so it has root ALREADY
Ruu sapphire htc wwe s.africa 3.05.421.3 is the rom that I am using... But I do not have root accesse

New I'm going to flash a new radio using fastboot commander V.1.0 magic version... Must I use the magic tab and erase system +userdata+cache and hit flash new or flash the radio with hboot, radio, recovery tab?
The radio I'm going to flash is radio HTC pvt 32a 6.35.16.19...
Ok I used the magic tab and erase system ect and it was successful flashing SFM 1.2 rom now.....and the flash was successful awesomeness
No need to erase system, data, cache while flashing radio only. But if you will decide to change ROM - yes, do full wipe...
Thanks bud
Can I downgrade from HBOOT-1.33.0014 to HBOOT-1.33.0013.
After updating hboot through HTC Unlock Bootloader hoping for benefits, now I can't flash some ROMs because not being at least 1.33.0013 or 1.33.0013d.

Solved!
1. Relocked the bootloader in fastboot using: fastboot oem lock.
2. Download misc-edited.img
http://www.4shared.com/file/M7NfPvFO/misc-edited.html
3. Copy misc-edited.img to sdcard
4. With Rom Manager installed type this in a terminal emulator.
# /data/data/com.koushikdutta.rommanager/files/flash_image misc /sdcard/misc-edited.img
5. After that use the stock-sappimg.zip. Rename it to sappimg.zip and copy it to the sdcard.
http://www.4shared.com/zip/CgyRRX4O/stock-sappimg.html
(stock android 1.6 sappimg for the mytouch 3g 3.55mm)
6. Turn off the phone and then press volume down + power button until bootloader shows. It should pick up the sappimg.zip and flash it.
7. Root with UniversalAndroot_1.5.3.apk (disable antivirus before download it)
http://www.4shared.com/android/ay4Js6MY/UniversalAndroot_153.html
8. Install ROM Manager 4.4.0.6 and flash a recovery.
http://www.4shared.com/android/87Z5gzSF/comkoushikduttarommanager.html
9. Reboot the phone.
10. Download radio 2.22.28.25 and flash it through recovery like any zip file.
http://www.4shared.com/zip/jGsW4akC/update_2222825_S.html
11. Reboot the phone.

Thanks, this is a tricky device and I don't have a clear idea in how to accomplish that in a safe environment. Do you think it's worth the chance? What are the practical benefits in doing so? For now I only know one bonus using ENG SPL in this device and that is erasing everything from fastboot (for that I use superwipe) but flashing still not possible, all other good commands are still excluded.
Please, make me wrong and make me a gift with your guidance.

Heh, I was just joking. What you really get with S-OFF and an ENG SPL are more ways to fix things and more ways to break things.
With S-OFF, the phone won't check the signatures of things you flash using HBOOT or fastboot, so you can get the phone to flash something that's been modified... but you can already do that if you have a custom recovery.
With ENG SPL, you can change just about every setting in the phone and access all of the fastboot commands without getting "remote not allow"... But, again, most of the things that you'd want to do (flashing a custom ROM) can be done with the custom recovery.
And, if I remember correctly, if you use an ENG SPL on a myTouch 1.2, you lose half of your available RAM, at least until you go back to a magic SPL.
I suggest making your life easy and not doing any of these things

That's what I thought too, better leave it unTouch. Thanks for your help.
Yes, using anything but 1.33.0013(d) spl and a newer radio will decrease available ram (by 18mb on 32b, and half on 1.2), and will break headphone Jack and other stuff on the 1.2 until you flash back.
Is that my misc-edited btw? just checked md5sums, seems to be. glad to see someone actually made use of it. you now have all the benefits of a goldcard, without going through the complicated process of making one.
Also, roms can probably be easily updated to support 1.33.0014 ), most likely a 1 line edit to the updater-script
Pmerced, could you dump your current misc partition for me? I have never had the opportunity to look at what happened to my edits after an update.

You can't flash from fastboot on this device unless you have an eng spl.
The normal process of getting a custom rom on the dream/sapphire is first rooting your stock rom, then flashing a recovery from there. Then you update radio/spl as needed and flash a rom.
I have never messed with the 1.33.0014 spl, but from what I've heard, it gives no benefit, just headache.
