Well, it's simple really! I used Photoshop to mimic the tiles and then cut them up into individual pieces, numbered them in such a way so that it's easy to puzzle them back together. Then, I used @Argony-OT's OblyTile application for Windows 8 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1899865) to create my own tiles and made them one by one!
It took a lot of time, granted, but it was definitely worth it Being one of the first people to figure out this trick with Windows 8 tiles is definitely an honour I shall cherish!
I prefer Windows 8 with start button

It is impossible because it is build out of a tile and then put on to a 3D-like surface. And if I remember correctly it is in 2 parts. you can only change those 2 parts but you can not have an image (non-solid) as background.
Untill somebody cracks this that is ...
BTW: which theme are you using ?

Yes it was posted, a million times already... sigh. There are already multiple very boring and repeating threads about it that you could have found easily by looking at the first 2 forum pages...
As pointed out above this has been posted before, and even I could make a better fake than that! The fonts wrong and it says Foto's instead of Pictures

Only when it runs the 1 GHz hack, because phone 7 requires that.
But it is nice to know that windows 7 phone scales on a totaly different way on a HD2 WVGA screen. Look, this is how it scales on the concept device:

But yes, I like the HD2 version more

There's no such thing as "real size" on a computer screen, unless yours and the viewer's one have the same size and resolution

Beauty is in the main of the holder. I prefere e.g. Dexter - TheDarkOne ROMs
This is just a theme. Go to WM 6.5 themes - [CAB] WP7UI, Standalone for WM6.5 ** the HOST **. It works great, by the way.

The size is 800x800 which I think looks good on the Nexus 5. Can't say the same for other devices.

How are you made this screen shot? Is amazing
Used a free program called paint.net It is very cool, with a lot of user developed add-ons for it. Took me about 2 minutes to produce the image!
Mine is fairly standard at the moment. I'll have more of a play with customising during my 3 weeks off work
Gone for a very clean look! Really like how the wallpaper turned out
Hopefully getting mine by the end of the year! Just posting here *gasp* without any pictures so that I can make it to the first page
edit: Looks quite bare here, but the sharp AMOLED really makes this
