hi there so i have a g2 and i rooted it no problem and then i decided to change over to the desirez hboot however something went wrong so i tried to boot into recovery, however i forgot that i still had the PC10IMG in my sdcard and it loaded the radio .... i believe it erased the rom and now i'm stuck in a bootloop on the HTC screen. I tried this method found on
cynogenmod's forum on how to fix a semi-bricked g2 and I am on the process of trying to load the bootloader however whenever i go into selecting bootloader it searches for PC10img and then it doesn't do anything. It won't allow me to update or anything it just goes back to the screen and i have to choose again and it becomes an endless cycle.
on the bootloader screen the top says
Vision PVT Eng S-off
HBOOT -0.84.2000 (PC10000)
MICROP-0425
Radio -26.02.01.15_M2
eMMC-boot

I don't know what any of it means besides security off. Someone please help! Is there anything I can do??
take out the SDcard put it in your computer and remove the PC10IMG.zip from the card.
Then put it back in the phone and proceed to boot into recovery and restore your backup or re-flash your ROM.
I also have CM Recovery 3.0.2.4 and I can't even flash the stock rom img because it says there is an errror
Amend scripting is no longer supported
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to Clockworkmod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery
Please switch to Edify scripting to create working update zip packages
I'm not sure if this is bootloader problem or a rom problem
Don't flash a PC10IMG through recovery.
Download another custom rom, put it on your sdcard and flash that through recovery.
Flashing the DZ hboot causes a bootloop because the phone looks in different places for the files.

I have installed the rooting exploit. It has patched my recovery no problem.
I booting in the new prompt and load a rom as update.zip then rebooting and the logo halted (i think kernel panic)
I tried restore the firmware with the default spl bootloader DREAIMG.nbh most of variantions rc7 and rc29
and holding the home and shutdown buttons come to the original recovery menu tried to "apply sdcard:update.zip" but he errors about signatures
i have but the newest version firmware 1.5 crc37 or cr32 german dont really know.

dreaimg.nbh must be installed through the bootloader, not recovery. To enter bootloader, hold down Camera+Power. You should have the nbh on the root of your SD card, and it will automatically be detected. Let us know if that works for you.
Next time you decide to root, try this version instead:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=533731
I've done it this way numerous times... after you root, install Cyanogen's Recovery v1.4 using the directions further down that thread, then flash the updated Radio and SPL via Recovery.
Inserting a Formated fat32 with DREAIMG.nbh starting the dream holding with OFF+CAM

How can I create an goldcard when my android OS not runs ?
So I downloaded Clockwork Mod onto my phone and I have root access (thanks to AndRoot) -- so I've been able to flash the ClockworkMod recovery or the RA recovery onto my phone.
However it won't let me boot into the recovery mode (HOME+POWER).
The odd time I can boot into the Clockwork recovery, but as soon as a screen comes up it immediately reboots and then it won't let me boot up.
With RA recovery it wont' get me into anything....
Any suggestions? It's an HTC Magic (Rogers), so it's a 32A phone (as far as I know) and it's really a pain living with just 2.1.
When flashing RA recovery, are you using H? G is for 32B.
yup it was like 1.70h or whatever... made sure of that
but it would never boot into recovery mode...
Dwnload rom manager from market. The app has an option to reboot into recovery. I haven't tried it personally but hope it helps.
i've tried rebooting into the mode that way... still when it reboots and just as i see something it reboots automatically again... and then it'll just come up with that warning screen and i'll have to pull the battery

T-mobile MyTouch 3G Android 2.2.1
==========================
I'm trying to reboot into recover by it just restarts and stops at the screen with the exclamation and phone image!
I've used SuperOneClick v1.7 to root it with success!
Pre Froyo I've been able to reboot into recovery and use CyanogenMod with ease but since the update I can't.
Did you install a new recovery after doing the update? If you you need to download ROM Manager from the market and use it to flash a new recovery.

I have ROM Manager but when I download the ROM that's what happens (above results)!
You need to flash Clockworkmod Recovery from ROM Manager before trying to select the "flash ROM" option.
I flashed it already to ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7 before posting to the forums with no luck, I even tried the RA Recovery option!
When I try to flash with another ClockworkMod version it says: "An error occurred while flashing your recovery".
Flash the recovery again from ROM Manager, either one, and then immediately after hitting the "OK" button, turn the phone off and try booting into recovery. Sometime you may have to flash the custom recovery several times from ROM Manager before it sticks.
What is the procedure to reboot into recovery mode? (Want to see if I'm doing it correctly)
If your getting the triangle with the ! then your doing it right. Either way, with the phone off hold home+power.

So what can I do from here?
What is the fix?
Thanks!
The only thing I can think to do is either use the goldcard method to flash an engineering SPL and then manually install the recovery...or, you can downgrade to 1.6, re-root, and try re-installing the cutom recovery, then upgrade back to the 1.33.0013/2.22.28.25 SPL/radio. Either way it's going to be a pretty long process with the second being the easier of the two.
Is this a known problem with the MyTouch 3G with the Froyo update?
I've helped 2 or 3 people that ran into the same issue.
Well thank you for you assistance!
I tried to flash cyanogenmod onto my vodafone 32B HTC Magic and now it's stuck on a boot loop. I rooted it with super one click, then used amon-ra recovery to load up cyanogenmod. It got to the vodafone red screen then just keeps restarting once every 20 secs or so. I suspect it's because I didn't do a full wipe before flashing, I only clearled dalvik cache. So I tried booting up to recovery but amon-ra isn't loading up and its going back to the android default recovery, which I cant use to reflash another rom. I can't communicate with the phone via ADB (does not recognise device). fastboot can recognise the phone but I can't push anything onto it since I didn't update my SPL (it's at s-on).
So is there any way for me to get amon-ra recovery back onto it or otherwise boot up my phone again?
Find a sappimg.zip and flash that and start over is what I would suggest
I concur :0)
My Tmobile mytouch3g is rooted and has a custom rom running. I want to reset it to factory reset and give the phone to someone else. Unfortunately the phone was rooted by my brother about a year ago and he doesn't remember the method used or how to reset. I don't mind flashing a brand new rom on it either. Just need some basic guidance please.
when I turn on the phone by holding the volume and power button this is the info I see... Help please

Thank you,

Easy...
You need check custom recovery. Turn off, then turn on by pressing Home + Power
If you will see something like Amon Ra recovery vX.X or ClockworkMod Recovery - you have custom recovery and can use it to flash custom ROMs
If you will see triangle with '!' - it's stock recovery
But as you have s-off engineering hboot, you simply flash custom recovery through fastboot.exe utility
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (i advice version AmonRa 1.7.0 G )
p.s. Make sure your phone is correct connected to PC
Thank you let me try it... I'll post the update. Thank you very much for the advice. Appreciate that!

OMG... Why RA-Dream-v1.2.3 ???
I adviced RA Sapphire 1.7.0 G !!!
p.s. In custom recovery choose "flash zip from sdcard" and flash custom ROM for [32B]. But do "wipe data/factory reset" first
