You need to set apn settings again. Check with your provider. Then input in settings / wireless and network / mobile networks / access point names. You probably need to create a new one.

Globe Philippines MMS settings for PPC 2003
ZeroExtreme seems to know a lot about this.
I upgraded my XDA II to the new Asian Edition that was posted here and the MMS configuration is different from the old version. The connection is still the same but the MMS composer software is different and I cannot get it to work.
I guessed that the port should 10021 but I cannot get it to work.
Has anyone experienced getting MMS to work on the new Asian Edition software for Globe Telecom Philippines?

Use the AutoConfig program in the Xda II, it should set all your connections (Internet, GPRS/WAP and MMS)
Globe Philippines MMS settings for PPC 2003
I tried that when I first upgraded and it severely corrupted the MMS options. The servers had no names and couldn'tbe editted either. It didn't work either so I did a reload of 2003 and told it not to autoconfigure.
ThE auto configure I'd tried to use was at the option that comes up after a hard reset. Is there another way that works?
Thanks...
What ROM version are you using? SE or the 1.72 from UK that was customized for Asia?

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure which flavour's what now, had tried various updates and this one seems stable..

ROM Date: 06/14/04
Radio Version: 1.18
Protocol Version: 1337.38
ExtROM Version: 2.06.100a
Does that tell you anything?

I immediately posted version 2 of the customized ROM, since the extended ROM of the first one is based on the non-SE OS.
Look for the version 2 of the customized extended ROM for SE, the autoconfig here correctly configures the MMS with the new MMS messaging application.

Thnx Zero, can I just load the extended ROM or do I need to do a complete reload of everything?

Hi
I've downloaded the ROM & upgraded my Vario 2, without any problems.. The only issue I have is MMS, I've set it up using the settings listed on the T-Mobile site, but when I attempt to send a msg to check it, it connects OK, but doesn't send the message...
Can any other T-Mobile UK Vario 2 users let me know their settings?
Thanks!
You can download all the T-Mobile customisation cabs here inc the MMS settings:

Don't know if tis is a stupid question, but could you use MMS before?
With my Vodafone (UK) contract I had to add MMS as a separate package.
I just used the settings on the T-Mobile website and it works perfectly.
There are 2 parts to setting up MMS:
1. Setting up the connection settings: http://www.manuals.t-mobile.co.uk/start.asp?manual=1677
2. Configuring the Picture Messaging settings: http://www.manuals.t-mobile.co.uk/start.asp?manual=1677
Got it sorted - tried the settings listed on MoDaCo, which didn't work... found a pdf on T-Mobile's website, with different settings & those worked...
Thanks to everyone who replied!
Could you please put the link in to the pdf in case someone else needs this? Thanks.
Hi
The PDF is in the T-Mobile users area & you need a valid number to access it. However the settings are:
Setting up your Picture Messaging profile
1. Select the Start menu and then Messages.
2. Select Messaging
3. Select Menu and Tools then select Options
4. Tap on MMS
5. Tap on the Servers tab.
6. Tap on New.
7. In the box Server name enter T-Mobile MMS
8. In the box Gateway enter 149.254.201.135
9. In the box Port number enter 8080
10. In the box Server address enter http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
11. Select the Connect via drop down list and select your internet profile (T-Mobile Internet or T-Mobile GPRS
(Web))
12. Select the WAP Version drop down list and select WAP 2.0
13. Select OK
14. With T-Mobile MMS highlighted, tap on Set As Default
15. Select ok
Hope this helps!
thank you!
I have search everywhere for this, I never post questions cause I can usually find the answer, I have checked throughout XDA and google and check multiple forums. I have been reading on how to create a cab file I just don't have the time right now to sit down and work on it for hours. Walshieau has a site going for Provxml and Xml Config Loader but he hasn't got to North America. If anybody has a cab or is skilled at making one the settings are minimal, I have included them.
If you can help many thanks.

Anyone in the toronto area know how to get the MMS working?

Hey guys
I use Wind mobile and the 3vo rom found in this forum.
My only problem is that the connection setup included in the rom is very old and it doesn't have wind mobile in its database.I went around looking for a newer version to install and I found this in another forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12807575#post12807575
"HTC Connection Setup PPC v3.1.2016.2829.cab"
However, upon installing,I don't know how to access the new program. When I select the connection setup,I get the following message:
"Can't find 'Connectionsetup' (or one of its components).Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."
Anyone with solutions to this?
THanks.
You can set this up manually through the settings->connections->GPRS
The settings are there:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1691746-Wind-Internet-Settings
Problem solved.
Here is the solution:
I called up Wind and they weren't much help.
And yes I have gone through the link jeromecornet posted above before.
Anyways,I installed Wind's rom just to see the specific setting for
the maple.
I had to use do the instructions posted on this page below to accessed them
as they were deny.
http://stevenharman.net/blog/archive/2008/10/03/windows-mobile-internet-connection-sharing-hack.aspx
I Used Total Commander to access the Registry.
Here are the settings for the MMS to work correctly on the HTC Maple
for Wind. This is for anyone else in the same place with a wind mobile
HTC Maple.
Start - Settings - MMS Settings
Menu - MMSC settings
Add this in
NAME: WIND MMS
MMSC URL: http://mms.Windmobile.ca
WAP GATEWAY: 74.115.197.70
PORT: 8080
CONNECT VIA: WAP Network
MAX SEND SIZE: 300k
WAP VERSION: wap 2.0
Than go to Connections in Settings than GPRS and add the following
two:
1)
Name:Wind Internet
Connects to: The Internet
Access Point: internet.windmobile.ca
leave the rest BLANK.
2)
Name:Wind MMS
Connects to: WAP Network
Access Point: mms.windmobile.ca
leave the rest BLANK.
This is settings straight from the Windmobile 6.5 rom.
Happy image texting!
