Just copy your nandroid from stock, delete everything. Format then you should be good. Other longer option is to unroot with pc36img and then reroot and nandroid backup on a fresh sd card that has been formatted

You can also copy your backups from your sdcard using adb.
Synatax:
C:\Program Files (x86\android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb pull /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ ./clockworkmod/backup
This will copy all backups in tour clockworkmod/backup/ directory to the currently open location on your pc with the correct paths for organization sake.
Then just delete all or some of the backups on your sdcard using root explorer (definatly easier than using shell) to make the amount of free space you desire.
Ready for more backups and you have the backups in case you need to perform disaster recovery.
It's easy enough to just do it through the USB connection to your computer. Cut and paste to a backup folder on your computer. I only keep two backups (at the most) on my phone.

I rooted my phone just yesterday. It has 0 backups, 500 mb internal storage and 13 gb USB available. I think twr recovery is trying to save the backup in internal storage and I can't find any option to save it to USB storage

Unable to Mount SD

Hi all,
I've come from Desire S which is a little different from this one when it come to flashing a roms it seems.
I'm unable to mount my sd card in recovery after a full wipe to put the zip onto it, I can do side load and have my custom rom on now but needless to say when in recovery i like to put my zips there and now cant.
I've noticed I don't have a 4EXT folder on my sd either if that means anything.
Help
What recovery are you using. You won't see a 4ext folder because there is no 4ext recovery for Nexus 4

You can't.
The nexus 4 doesn't use ums storage.
It uses mtp which can't be mounted in recovery.
You can always use adb with
Adb push ROM.zip /sdcard

How to remove permanent read only from internal sdcard

Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Please tell me how can I change permanent read-only (r/o) on my internal sdcard. I have tried root explorer but it only gave a temporary solution. My cell has root but don't know what to do
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I doubt that the entire MMC is read-only, you'd not be able to save any data at all.
Certain partitions (like /system) are probably mounted read-only.
This is all specified in init.rc
Nice info

That's the problem my entire internal mmc has turned r/o and yes I can't save or delete anything.. could you tell me how change that in init.rc

Can you get ADB working?
If not, follow the tutorials elsewhere.
Just type:
Code:
mount
Into adb and see what you have mounted and how.
try to format using a pc, usually internal memory will be mounted on a pc once you connect your phone to it
You could try to mount the SD as USB disk in Recovery... when you plug the cable to your PC it asks you to format the SD card...
