Mobile Internet Data counter??

Hay all,
Is there a prog or somewhere on the phone that has a counter for the mobile internet usage?
I basicly get 500MB of free usage a month from Oranage (mobile internet / Packet Data) You know what you use to go on wap sites / MSN an things.
But I can't find anywhere on the phone a counter for it.
This is worrying as I don't wanna go over the usage allowance as on my old Nokia it gave you a "packet Data" counter for Sent & Recieved data amounts.

I have one of Chi Tai's plug ins to monitor data - Homescreen Plus Plus I think it is. (free!)

I've dowloaded the trial of this but I got a question.
It tracks both Internet Explore & Opra's usage but it doesn't show the usage of MSN Messenger / Live.
Is there a way for it to track that too or does it go under a diffrent file name? As there are some exe files also using the wirless connection when active.

App that control which apps can use 3g/edge and wifi

Is there any app that can control which apps are allowed to use 3g/edge to connect to the Internet and which are only allowed to do that when wifi is available?

IMO, an app that manages all permissions would be even better. I haven't heard of any such apps but hopefully someone can come up with something.

can I somehow restrict all data transfers? I have no data tarif from my mobile operator and allmost everywhere I am i have free wifi connection (so I want use wifi).

"Tasker" may be able to help, it can control your settings based on all kinds of scenarios. I have my mobile data disabled and use Tasker to enable it when certain apps start (internet, email, etc), it will disable it automatically when you close that app (needs apndroid installed). I do the same with GPS.
Tasker gives you loads of options and control, you can create custom widgets and automatic profile switching.

droidwall may be of interest to you guys, it blocks all apps to connect to 3g/edge unless you specify the app in the droidwall whitelist
note: Droidwall does require root

I can find Tasker in the market, but I first found it on androlib. I use it to disable ´mobile data' during the night.

I got limited quota of the mobile data network usage. Can I use something to control which apps access the internet and use the mobile data network?
or maybe disable loading all pics (Not just the browser)??

[Q] Application not accessing internet

Hi experts,
I am using Samsung i9003. the problem i am facing is none of my applicatins able to access internet,i can access internet via browser but not through any apps. bcoz of this i am not signing in to the default gmail account,not able to use maps and all other apps.
The strange part is i am facing this issue only when i use my postpaid aircel sim.Please help ,bcoz of this my phone is almost useless to me.

Can anyone help me in this?
I tried different aircel settings and aircelwap showing dataconnection(E & H symbol) but still those apps using internet is not working

Did you install some firewall applications (like Droidwall), did you make customisations? Did you flash your phone? What FW do you use?

I was using my S4 as access point to share my internet connection with someone and he was able to steal my data on the phone (text messages, pictures, ...)
I don't know how he did it, but I know it's true
Did you know that it's possible? how to prevent this ? antivirus apps are useful ?

It might have something to do with DLNA?
