Sprint to anounce release date of supersonic?

I seen a rumor that sprint premium account holders got a message saying look out for an announcement of a groundbreaking new device tomorrow. Supersonic anyone?

I love it. We are such phone geeks that we get excited about an announcement of another annoucement. I read VZW is announcing the Nexus tomorrow and been inpatiently wating. We are proud nerds.

I don't think it will be the Nexus. It will be the HTC incredible or maybe both?

I bought it the day after launch then got the Evo 3d on launch day. Now I just bought a used one off ebay for my mom to replace her Hero(my old phone before the 4g) It's been a blast playing around with one again. My 3D is better in almost every respect theres 2 things that bother me though. First is the new aspect ratio on the screen, the second is the great roms. We don't even have a rc for cm7 yet and our ics is nowhere near the 4g.

You'll be getting the real deal with ICS, so who cares how far along progress on something thats gonna get replaced is?
I wouldnt build ICS for the 3VO if its just gonna be replaced by an OTA. Wait for it to drop and customize from there.
The EVO 4g on the other hand, has a lot of development going on simply because its the only way we are going to get it.

sure is amazing the development that goes on for this phone. most other phones get left in the dust way sooner.

I was looking for someone who wanted to trade there epic 4g for my evo 4g its brand new I just got it from sprint. Any one interested let me know.

If you just bought it, don't you have a 30 day return on it?
Plus, the "there", along with the runon sentence doesn't bode well for the seller/trader's credibility.

When i posted my evo i did it on craigslist it was traded with in hours to the person that i got my epic from cool thing was my evo was 5 months old and my epic was 1 week old talk about lucky

Depending on where you are I would also consider it. Been something I've been thinking about doing.
Only issue would be I don't know how fair a trade would be...my epic was purchased about a week or so after launch. Its been in a case the whole time but...ya.

Is it a refurb? Or did they send you a brand new one?

I was just gonna say check on Craigslist. I started looking fairly late in the evening, and ended up trading my Epic for an Evo the next morning. Shouldn't be too hard.

I just looked for an Evo on Craigslist, and found people looking for possible trades. Found a guy who was about 20 minutes away, and met him at my local Sprint store. We checked out each others phones and went into the store where they swapped the activation on them. He threw in $50 with the Evo also. Work out the deal beforehand based on the assumption that condition, age, etc. are all the same, and then go from there once you see the phone in hand. Once you meet the person, you can always walk away if something just doesn't feel right. I'm happy with the way my trade worked out. Just much easier and safer to do locally. That's why I went with Craigslist. Just keep in mind you CAN still get screwed locally, so check the phone thoroughly. The Evo I traded for had a blown speaker, but my local Sprint store replaced the speaker for $35, so I still came out ahead. At some point, you just have to trust the person, as you can't necessarily test EVERYTHING. Good luck, man.

Inferior? No. I'm happier with my Evo than I was with my Epic. Different phones entirely. Both are nice, but I just found my Epic too buggy, and had no need for a thicker phone with a keyboard. I'm not saying the Evo is better. Just better for me. I do miss the SAMOLED screen though.

I've been throwing around the idea of trading mine for a evo but I'm just worried ill miss the epic. I had a evo when it first came out then switched to epic and I can't make up my mind on which one I want. I don't use my keyboard ever so its kind of a waste.

I have owned an evo since jun launch day,always hadx a keyboard phones,mogul,tp1,tp2 than the evo... but with the big scree tought I would get use to it cuz of the screen large keyboard,but no ,didn't get use to it,so I decided to trade and am happy just the keyboard that made it better...

Same here, I really dig the epic but really don't use the keyboard and just think the evo feels better in the hand. Right now the screen is keeping me with the epic but samsungs/sprints lack of software support and accesories for the phone are making me lean towards trading for an evo

Grr. Why do I want a G2?

I wanted to get one before the Nexus S was announced, but I went with the Nexus as soon as it came out. For some reason I'd still like to have one as a secondary phone. Convince me how horrible the G2 is so I won't throw down any more cash.

I will be getting the G2 in a few days and I will be finally dumping my captivate.

Awesome keyboard, beautiful design, extremely fast, highly overclockable, HSPA+, optical trackpad, tons of ROMS and support from developers/community. The G2 IMO is still the best phone on T-Mobile

You guys are trying to screw me. ~_~

So I finally went I get a replacement evo cause I broke mine and they said they dont have any evo's so I'm getting an evo 3d!! The only bad thing is I'm leaving the evo forum I've been here since launch day and it's been a nice ride guys!

Are they making you get another 2year contract or just giving it to u?

Welcome to no development. Evo 3D dev section is nothing but Sense and bugs. Only 2 aosp roms, cm7 and miui.

Charger port broke on my Evo earlier at work today, & I just filed a claim online, & Asurion are currently replacing OG Evos with 3D's, will have mines tomorrow

If this is the case I have full insurance I wouldn't mind breaking it but not sure I do love it and can't burn money hoping not to get flamed

Mines is from insurance since Sprint stores won't replace Evos with broken charger ports

My charging port has been loose & I've been putting off taking it in. I just might have to now. I didn't think that the 3D was worth the upgrade, but it's worth the replacement.
Worst case scenario is that I get another Evo, and that's all I need anyway.

Wow, sounds like a pretty kick ass deal. I was considering doing an insurance claim cause my power/unlock button kind of stopped working but it works now, kinda. Has a mind of its own, works sometimes and does work other times... I was wondering how they would be doing replacements since they stopped making the OG Evo. I also felt that the 3D was not worth the upgrade at all, but hell I would gladly take one to replace my old Evo. Only thing I would miss is the dev community and the stupid amount of choices we have as far as roms and mods lol. I think it is safe to say that no other android phone has a bigger dev community than the OG Evo.

My charging ports also been broken for a couple months I just haven't bothered to fix it. I have an external charger

That's exactly what I thought. I wasn't gonna use an upgrade on it but a trades totally worth it

I love my EVO too, but I wouldn't be that unhappy if I had to upgrade. I do enjoy being able to change ROMs whenever and to whatever I want basically, but I've tried AOSP, I've tried MIUI, and I keep coming back to Sense, so I'd probably just go to Eternity ROM on 3D and be done with it. I would still miss my EVO though.

hello everyone I just want everyones opinion about phones... i know since we all have/had epics we all want keyboards and more than likely are all about samsung but right now im in a predicament on my phone i have the ns4g right now but ive had so many problems with it and asurion told me ive had too many replacements the next thing to do is i need to buy a nexus s at a sprint store for full retail and they will send me a check for whatever i paid as soon as i fax them the receipt... but i asked the guy if there was any other phone i could get instead of the ns4g since ive had so many problems and he told me i could get the evo 3d... now im not a fan of htc but would you consider the evo3d a upgrade? somethings it does have better buy others not... then i went online to the sprint store and saw the evo3d and the ns4g have 549.99 price tag and the epic touch is 499.99 and i asked him if i could get the et4g and he said that would be a upgrade and they wont honor it... but i asked to talk to his manager and hopefully they let me get the epic touch... but i was just wondering if you had the choice of the ns4g or the evo 3d what would you get?... im waiting for his manager to call me back sorry for the long post to read lol

If you can't get the touch stick with the ns4g. I don't think the evo3d is much of an upgrade....I've never used it probably never will but I feel like the ns4g is just the better option. Can't get those amoled colors on an evo ill tell you that much
By the way this should have gone in the ns4g forum...as it pertains to such.

try and get the 4g touch, otherwise get the evo 3d and see if you like it, worse case resell it

Don't use the slide out keyboard much but the epic 4g is the phone i use and like had it for over a year no problems
