Honestly I am getting tired of these two groups of people: 1) "I am going to sell my Vibrant for the G2 because Vibrant sucks" and 2) "Vibrant is the greatest thing ever... G2 sucks". Seriously people, they are both great phones. Get over it.

Glad you told us. I for one really sincerely am concerned about what you do with your personal property. You selling your phone is so important to tell everyone, so i am glad you did. Bottling it up inside isnt healthy.

I'm not a fan of Samsung, but their hardware in the Galaxy S is awesome, and with Google's vanilla.... it could be gold, pending GPS fixes and whatnot.

let me see... everything the samsung vibrant should of had but failed to include... so that 6 mos later repackage and call it nexus s? typical samsung

hmm still within my remorse period... Theres a whole lot plastic going on right there but the internals and 2.3 gingerbread is hard to pass up. That and it should be the new developer phone makes this a pretty good buy but is it worth return the G2 for?

I like the internals of the Nexus S but the externals of the G2... not sure I wanna pay ~$500+ for a plastic phone

I gave my vibrant to the wife and personally went to G2. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to get another phone, the "Nexus3" will be out and HTC will be the manufacturer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Motorola was the next Nexus's manufacturer lol

It is likely I will buy this instead of a Galaxy Tab. Anyway, I have a Vibrator, G2, and MyTouch 4G. Actually selling the G2 and keeping the other two. Why you might ask? I wanted the extra RAM in the MyTouch, G2 was a bit bulky for my tastes, although the keyboard was pretty sweet.
The truth was I needed to sell one either the Vibrator or the G2 and the G2 brought more cash so that was the one I chose to sell. Even though I much rather would have kept it instead of the Vibrant.
It's cool CM will be on MyTouch 4G soon enough!

after samsung moment, i realized never again with samsung. such beautiful phones with potentials they make, yet they fail to give a damn about their phones, also that phone does look like 1 drop results to epic destruction

with this phone you wont have to worry about samsung giving you updates, it will be like the nexus, the updates will come straight from google so all you have to worry is that the actual hardware is good, with that said, ill wait until it checks out that the hardware is in fact good and doesnt have a garbage gps and memory storage like my vibrant did

I was looking for someone who wanted to trade there epic 4g for my evo 4g its brand new I just got it from sprint. Any one interested let me know.

If you just bought it, don't you have a 30 day return on it?
Plus, the "there", along with the runon sentence doesn't bode well for the seller/trader's credibility.

When i posted my evo i did it on craigslist it was traded with in hours to the person that i got my epic from cool thing was my evo was 5 months old and my epic was 1 week old talk about lucky

Depending on where you are I would also consider it. Been something I've been thinking about doing.
Only issue would be I don't know how fair a trade would be...my epic was purchased about a week or so after launch. Its been in a case the whole time but...ya.

Is it a refurb? Or did they send you a brand new one?

I was just gonna say check on Craigslist. I started looking fairly late in the evening, and ended up trading my Epic for an Evo the next morning. Shouldn't be too hard.

I just looked for an Evo on Craigslist, and found people looking for possible trades. Found a guy who was about 20 minutes away, and met him at my local Sprint store. We checked out each others phones and went into the store where they swapped the activation on them. He threw in $50 with the Evo also. Work out the deal beforehand based on the assumption that condition, age, etc. are all the same, and then go from there once you see the phone in hand. Once you meet the person, you can always walk away if something just doesn't feel right. I'm happy with the way my trade worked out. Just much easier and safer to do locally. That's why I went with Craigslist. Just keep in mind you CAN still get screwed locally, so check the phone thoroughly. The Evo I traded for had a blown speaker, but my local Sprint store replaced the speaker for $35, so I still came out ahead. At some point, you just have to trust the person, as you can't necessarily test EVERYTHING. Good luck, man.

Inferior? No. I'm happier with my Evo than I was with my Epic. Different phones entirely. Both are nice, but I just found my Epic too buggy, and had no need for a thicker phone with a keyboard. I'm not saying the Evo is better. Just better for me. I do miss the SAMOLED screen though.

I've been throwing around the idea of trading mine for a evo but I'm just worried ill miss the epic. I had a evo when it first came out then switched to epic and I can't make up my mind on which one I want. I don't use my keyboard ever so its kind of a waste.

I have owned an evo since jun launch day,always hadx a keyboard phones,mogul,tp1,tp2 than the evo... but with the big scree tought I would get use to it cuz of the screen large keyboard,but no ,didn't get use to it,so I decided to trade and am happy just the keyboard that made it better...

Same here, I really dig the epic but really don't use the keyboard and just think the evo feels better in the hand. Right now the screen is keeping me with the epic but samsungs/sprints lack of software support and accesories for the phone are making me lean towards trading for an evo

The devotion that Google has to the Nexus brand makes anything the Epic went thru irrelevant. I would definitely get the Nexus S 4G if it came to Sprint. I'm not concerned with dual core seeing as how my Epic runs blazing and handles games amazingly. It suits my needs just fine. But I might consider the Evo successor as well.
Gawd I hope this is true. It will restore my faith in Sprint.

It sounds too good to be true. Can other people confirm if this is true?
I hope the build quality is top notch and it doesn't feel cheap, too light and plastic. I hope its solid and not flexible and creaky. I think I saw one at best buy. I should go back and play around. See what it's like.

nexus one and nexus s are google phones. They get the updates before everybody else

Nexus s vs epic? Arent they the same cept gb?
Also originally gsm made phones converted to cdma (like epic) have lots of problems initially

That's a huge downgrade. There's a thread on here about how terrible the epic is compared to the Shift. Get a 3vo!

the only thing that sells me for the epic is the screen size and color and the ffc.. everything else IS better on the shift. x100

People that have gone from Shift to 3vo said it's the best phone they ever used.

The Epic is not better or worst than the Shift IMO. And I know my brother is trying to get an Epic touch and he's on a 3vo.
