sense 3.5 lockscreen - Droid Incredible General

is there anyway to port the sense 3.5 lockscreen to cm7?

I know the latest nightlie of omfgb has implemented a honeycomb concept lockscreen. Check it out.

You could check out Agile Lock in the Market. It's based on the Sense 3.0 lockscreen, which is really similar to Sense 3.5's lockscreen.

Whats the difference between the sense 3.0 and the 3.5 lockscreen?

I'm running a Newt's Sense 3.5 ROM and don't notice ANY difference in lockscreen from 3.0.

There's no difference.

Would you say omfgb is more stable, or is it pretty much the same as cm7. I tried it a long time ago and i didnt think it was as stable, and the god mode didnt have as many features. that was about 4 months ago though, i guess things have changed. ill give it a shot though, thanks.

You're wrong.
When you receive a text, try dragging the preview of the text into the ring. On 3.5 this will open that contact's thread, while on 3.0, the text message preview can't be dragged.
Edit: Click the thanks button if you're more informed now than you were before you read my post. It's not all that difficult.

I'm pretty sure MIUI has it if you go to themes, then customize, lock screen, then look under the online themes section.

yea as far as the way it looks its the same aside from the curved background which i also just commented about. htc mainly just added features to it.

Widgetlocker has a Sense 3 lockscreen option, FYI.

As I told the last guy who asked this (searching this thread is very helpful, btw) no, there sadly is not a Sense Gingerbread Rom available yet. I assume there will be once a sense based phone gets gingerbread officially from htc (probably the evo or desire hd).
Ya I saw there was none but I though I was missing something. Thanks a lot

Google: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Sense
Short answer: Mostly how things look: desktop, lockscreen, launcher, etc...And some widgets built in.

Sense also has several really good apps. I've looked for apps that are similar in the market, but I haven't really found any that equal functionality and polish compared to the stock sense apps.

Sillian rom?

What happen to it? I don't see the Rom forum here no more...

Was removed due to piracy with some apps, as well as hyping up the Sense widgets on a AOSP launcher, yet that wasn't true.
Mods, can we leave this thread here for a TINY bit, just so anyone else looking can know?
interesting...i was actually going to download the "new" version and check it out. guess ill just stick with what i have right now....

It's really just a Sense based ROM, with an AOSP launcher. Has a bunch of stuff removed, like the Rosie.apk, etc, but when you actually go to add widgets on the default launcher, none of the sense Widgets are actually there.
Anyone try version 4 which supposedly includes the HTC Camera app?

yes because having sense widgets is impossible without the full sense rom frameworks etc.

It DOES, because it's a SENSE Rom, lol. All of the HTC Apps work .. because it's sense. The widgets however don't work, as most suspected they wouldn't. At least not for me.

well if there were sources to the sense apk/ frameworks or the overall sense roms from htc, then maybe it would be possible, but as we all know that is closed source. so a rewrite to make them work is not very likely to work.
btw glad you'r waiting for the liquid_metal rom, you wont be disappointed.

lol. Well, at least not all of them do. .. honestly, it kinda sucks though, because his Sense 3a ROM runs amazing, with superb battery life. Even at 806mhz it runs better than some other Sense ROMs I've tried.

There's a doubleshot ROM available
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1207197
I don't think any devs are interested in porting it anyway, I tried it and the new mysense was boring and kinda sucked IMO, the regular 3.0 is better.
I also get bored with mysense but I also get equally bored with sense as well. I really want a flyer port for homescreen landscape.

I tried the double shot port, and there wasn't any lockscreen shortcuts (or any other lockscreens) and you could only have 5 home screens... Although it was smooth, and the launcher is pretty effin nice... Gonna stick with unity for now

Yeah htc really downgraded mysense, as they did in prev versions, idk why they would only give it 5 screens...That's so dumb, kinda limits what widgets you can actually use if you ask me.

I was gonna say the same, but then again is a matter of choices and preferences, something that should not be forgotten when you are comparing.

Ehh, not a big fan of the round icons. I still like Sense, just not as much since all of the sense reboots I used to get before flashing MIUI.
HTC saying 3.5 will be compatible with all of there handsets not just their high range phones. Would be nice to see this happen. Sense is getting nicer and nicer but I run cm7 for the speed and vanilla look

And what is this obsession with weather updates all over Sense? Are they vampires who need to know the exact status of the sun before they can go outside?

I agree with you on the vanilla part. However there are something's of sense that I like. Like the text selector I think it is superior to aosp. I would love to run a sense 3.0 rom without the lockscreen. That ring annoys the crap out of me.

I <3 Sense, it's just fluid and classy looking to me. But different strokes for different folks right? I run AOSP and find myself trying to make it mimic Sense, what's the point in me doing that?

Nice update! Running it with DrowningChild's 8.9.2a kernel and reverted GPS. New look seems to mimic someaspects of Ice Cream Sandwich, like the blue icons instead of Gingerbread's green icons. Some holdovers (like buttons on slider ring to unlock etc) but on the whole, very nice
Won't know reliability until I've run it for a few days, but seems good at first glance.
Cheers!
