[Q] battery to low to flash - Atrix 4G General

Hey I tried to flash a rom onto my atrix with flashboot and tried booting it and got into a boot-loop. I tried to put the ninja rom on it then alien and both of them don't wor, I did this with the .zip file and i already tried doing the -w comment and and im still in a bot-loop...how do I get out of this?

easiest way is to get the battery charged enough to do an sbf flash... i had this happen to me the first time i tried root on my atrix. i recommend finding anyone with a droid x or any other droid and ask if you could trade batterys with them long enough to fix you atrix... moto doesnt change around their battery's much... only difference will be the mv but that shouldnt matter as long as you trade back in the long run.

And thats why you never flash without 100% charge.

Issues that are the result of not following simple directions are worth trolling.

Battery solution
Go to Att, or another cellphone store, and ask one of the store clerks if they have an atrix, personal, or display..... From there, you should be able to pop your battery in their phone and charge it. Or swap batteries, it really doesn't matter unless you care enough. I had to do this once, was curious why people inquired the urgency of flashing with good charge.
Also, I have 3 batteries, stockx2, and Mugen 4800MAH. This guarantees I cant get boned by doing stupid no battery flashing.

Take the battery out. Plug into wall with oem charger. It should go into charging mode. Then install battery while its still plugged in. It should now charge.

Got mine!!

Got it!! this thing is INCREDIBLE!!!
Let us know about your thoughts on the battery life
they gave it to me with 3/4 battery life left. i'm going to burn it all the way down and recharge and go from there. it would be nice if we had a battery meter that would tell life time remaining. i.e. 16hours, 18 minutes. (p.s. i started this thread so everyone could join in the "i've got mine" party. not to brag! )
This thing is F'ing unbelievable! I don't think I've ever been more pleased with a phone & I've had almost all of them. I have no complaints. Can't wait to get home & root this beast! Sprint, HTC & Google just told Apple & the rest of the industry to suck their Evo!!!

Look up BatteryTime Lite in the app market. It will give you a counutdown of how long it should last using various activities. The Evo probably isn't in the options yet, but you can choose other and import your battery mAh
but there's no app that just displays time remaining? I.E. OSX laptops have a countdown in the top right that says how much time you have left

I think your battery is problem..maybe you should try to open your tab and pull the battery cable out for about 10 min and then put the cable back.. Check for video in YouTube for how to dissamble the tab.. Hope that help you..

Make sure you are using proper 2000mA charger. I have had issues with battery in my GT-P6800 using el cheapo adapter in the car. It was advertised as 2A charger but would put out only 900mA after it got hot.
Just finished charging GT-P1000N on AC charger and plugged into USB. HumberOS CM10

If you are yoing to attemt to pull the battery be careful. Watch the video carefully and then try it. you do not want to damage any of the clips or internals.

4.4.2 Battery Life

Just flashed, I can already see it behaving differently. Most notable it will not hold LTE in my house anymore (great).
I an tell you right now this will drain my battery faster its bouncing back and forth, back and forth.
Ugh.
Will report back with battery life.
I made sure I flashed with 100% battery to avoid any issues caused by this (it DOES happen, trust me, ask the devs who worked on the Atrix.)
Seems ok so far though, who knows maybe the radio is much better and uses less power. its been unplugged for like 20 mins and its at 99% with about 5 of those minutes in use. Not bad.
When my blue tooth is off it gets better battery than 4.3 but I can't really tell when BT is on...

Yep, its been reported from various websites that KitKat completely borks battery usage, especially on Note 3's and Nexus devices. I've gone through three Note 3's as a result and finally gave up troubleshooting and gonna stick with Jelly Beat

My phones battery decided to increase in size for the last two days and now i have replaced it. Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do in the future to avoid it?

Ya my note 3 did the same thing, i thought it was tye battery caz of the 8 dollar price. That is the conclusion i came up with too the phone was never really hot and 2 of those batteries swelled up making them unusable. I did upgrade the battery didnt have any more swell. I would like to know how that does happen though, i thought i was the onlu person that ran into this im glad read this post and hopefully can get an answer as im very curious if it was the type of battery or if was kernel. I cant remember the kernel i had but thought might be from putting too much speed in my rom.

Yeah. I want to know this too. These days i have been swapping between stock and cm 12.1 and on stock the battery amp ranges from 1200mah to 1800mah but on cm12.1 it always stayed at 1800mah and also phone got hot. It may be due to that or it may be because discharged this battery once to zero and then recharged it to 100 and then jump charged a couple of times. A lot of factors and this one was abused a lot so I can't put my finger on exactly what I did that caused this.

X Play Battery problems? Should I be worried?

I just got my phone and the battery life looks like s***

Note: I haven't charged to a 100% yet. Just got the phone and it had 25%~ battery off the box
So what is the problem?
If you check the screenshots uploaded by other people about their battery life, you'll see that mine is WAY lower.

I'll test it out for a day or two. If the battery remains like this, I'll ask for a replacement.
This thread is so foolish. You got a phone with 25% battery, have probably been playing around with it, syncing everything, having the phone settle in, haven't fully charged it, and you're complaining about battery?
Do you also give 1 star reviews in the play store because an app that clearly says needs root, won't work on your non rooted phone? EVERY phone has to settle in. No phone is going to give you 5 hours screen on time with 25% battery from a fresh out of the box setup. Your expectations are way too high lol.
Give it time before you complain man, come on.
Hey, everyone
I am sorry, I haven't bought a new phone in 4 years. I had forgotten about how to bench phones. I wasn't complaining, I just wanted to know if I should be worried.
Just give it a day or two. It'll come around
