Yes install yourself a different rom.... This way if the touchscreen works it means your old rom was messed somehow
If it still doesnt work it means its hardware related
A common issue with our phones...... Touchscreen modules break when phone runs hot for long time.
Find out and see what the problem is
I have THE EXACTLY SAME problem.
I just try to install new version (TyphooN_CM7_v3.6.4-MAGLDR.zip) but problem does not disappear...
Any solution?
Thanks,
Nicola

Yesterday the touchscreen on my HD2 began to stop working correctly. It is a T Mobile US version. It wasnt dropped or exposed to water. If I play with it for awhile it will start to work again but only for a few minutes. This started when I had a NAND version of Android installed, I thought it may be something with the Android build so I flashed a different build and it still was not working. I then performed a task 29, reflashed HSPL, and the latest official stock rom from T mobile and the screen was still not working correctly. Is there any easy fix for this? If not what parts will I need to fix this correctly?
If you search around, this is a hardware issue - a faulty "digitizer" (connected to the LCD) - is known to the HD2 and other HTC devices. Fix = replace the digitizer. Repair by HTC is a good solution, if your HD2 is in warranty (which it very well may be in). I have this issue and have sent mine for repair.
yeah mine is on its way to me , becouse of the faulty digitizer
I am having the same issue.. I installed an android nand rom yesterday, everything was working perfect, then i used mass storage to copy games and as soon as i unplugged it, the touchscreen stopped working!! I thought some files got corrupt and tried reinstalling android, then stock win mo rom, and still the problem persists... any solution???
I have a NC that I rooted almost a year ago. Recently, I started running CM7 off an sd card. It works great. However, periodically, I lose my wifi. It tries to connect but it doesn't see any networks. I reboot and have the same issue. If I boot in my standard rooted profile, it all works fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

Same on my X8
Sorry,
but I could only confirm this situation.
With fresh SEUS flashed X8 it works well.
Not with a rom based on CM7 (KuyaDROID)
BR
turrican(s)
The weird part for me, is that it works most of the time. But when it stops working, I don't know how to get it back, or why it come back on when it does.
thanks

FWIW you might try re-loading CM on your uSD. As you are booting/running CM from it files can get borked on uSD card for no apparent reason. Kinda sucks but it does happen. Presume other devices can connect? (Just to rule out router issues)
I will try that later (hard to do it at work ) The router is fine. It should be seeing several networks and they all come up as "not in range." I have tried rebooting, rebooting in recovery, fixing permissions in rom manager. No of these work. I will try redoing my SD card.
Question, If I reload cm7, will that remove all the apps that I have downloaded? Will I have to reinstall them also?
Thanks

I forgot where I read it, but if you delete the saved wireless networks, after you delete the last one it will reset the WiFi and start scanning again. Had that happen to me a few days ago lol..

Hello guys, I have the following problems with my galaxy s. For 2 days now I am having the problem that the phone while working fine, suddenly reboots and my baseband is gone. I am getting baseband unknown in status.
With no baseband working it constantly reboots every 2/3 minutes. Sometimes it fixes itself and I am having the baseband again. Sometimes not and I try to flash the software (CM9 or CM10), or just the modem. Also tried to copy the efs folder. Nothing seems to work though. I just have to be lucky that it fixes itself after a reboot.
Does anybody experience the same problems?

the problem seems to get fixed once you plug into the power line to charge it. do you think it is the battery?
Have you tried flashing everything from beginning again? So GB via Odin, CM9 twice, afterwards CM10 (or keep 9)?
Maybe it's due to the battery, don't know.My phone is now 2 years old and I already replaced the battery 6 months ago, lol
i would also recommend you flashing stock GB version via ODIN and start form there. i could always solve every problem by going back to GB.
if it's the battery you should try out another one if you can.
I have this problem too, the only way to get back to normal is to flash back samsung ROM, problem occurs with all cm10 versions !!
Did you solve it?
I will ask here, because I don`t want to open new thread for this.I have one SGS on repair but I can`t use usb because my pc can`t recognize the phone(unknown device).I have right drivers installed. There`s no recovery on the phone too, only download mode.If I wanna charge it,battery animation only starts and then restart. If I wanna turn it on,Samsung logo and then Devil kernel animation is shown and then phone restarts.Any idea? Thanks

Different solutions for USB connection problems and bootloops. look in My Android Solutions
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card

If you are trying to copy your EFS folder and it does not work - are you using a micro-SD card in your phone. If you are then doing a simple backup will save your EFS as part of the backup and you can have it saved on your microSD card also known as your external sd

That happened to me early on when i started to install custom roms - I did a search on the web for Samsung drivers and installed that and have never had a problem since.

Do you know anyone with the same phone whose battery you could borrow just for testing (SGS or SGS Plus)? I had a battery related problem with constant reboots, BUT in my case the battery level dropped from 80 to under 5 and that caused the reboots. My battery had also swollen a bit.
Experienced same issues until I replaced the battery

Hello all,
I have got a nexus 7 16GB the first gen version.
it was working fine till I decided to flash it, after rebooting it to go into recovery the touch screen stopped working.
It stopped working even before I had flashed or installed any thing. The screen would not even respond to any touch.
I have even downloaded the stock kernel and google stock rom but no success.
I pulled the back cover open and checked for loose cabling but no success. :crying:
Any one faced a similar problem? any suggestions?
Thanks
Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy S4 (i9500). I installed Omega ROM v22 on it and everything went smoothly, Wifi & BT working perfectly.
After a few hours of using the device (nothing special at all, texts and stuff like that) - I noticed my wifi isn't working and by not working I mean that I click the wi-fi button and it changes from gray to the mid-state between gray to green for around 20 seconds before it goes back to green ago.
If I open the menu to see my networks it just says "Enabling" without any networks there.
I had to drive somewhere so I went to my car and tried to enable Bluetooth, and same thing happens there - Bluetooth will not turn on and will stay stuck on mid-state between gray and green for a while and go back to green.
I flashed omega rom v22 again and the problem was gone, or so I thought. I went back to the car for another drive and realized the bluetooth issue is back - and when I got home I realized the wifi issue is back as well.
I figured I need to reset everything so I tried the following:
Full wipe (including dalvik and even including "internal SD card") and then flashing stock rom (from the official website, stock rom of my country).
The issue was back after a few hours. I do not have BT or Wifi access. Yesterday Wifi suddenly started working for a few hours but then it stopped working again.
I really need help! I have no idea what to do with this issue!
Well rule number one when you have problems after flashing without wipe.
1. perform a full wipe and see if the problem persists.

Tried that, no luck.
What else would you try?
In some places when people had problems with Wi-Fi they said to flash a different kernel but I don't see why I would have this specific issue with Omega Rom and why the default kernel with it wont work well?
Maybe this could be a root issue? My root works fine but I have this weird gut feeling like this is some permissions thing that's going on.
I'm trying to think why it would work right after the wipe but then stop working shortly after.
Another symptom: It randomly started working for a few minutes and then stopped again (around three hours ago).
Any idea what's going on?
Well, if you fully wiped and didn't restore any apps and settings then it can be two other things.
Or it's a bug in the rom or a hardware failure in your phone.
I would suggest trying a different rom first. Do not restore anything, not even your google account.
wi-fi fix?
Do you actually have an i9505? or is it a canadian or att version? if its the latter sometimes the devs offer some wifi-fixes, also try a different kernel. otherwise it could be that your radio/modem are not compatible with the version of the ROM you are flashing.
Tried arrow ROM and this issue doesn't seem to happen in this rom. Hope it stays like that...

Sadly, it did happen with this rom, after just a few hours.
I'm now using stock rom and still suffering from the issue.
Does anyone have ANY idea what I can do to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
