Is there anything we can do? Is this hardware related or can it be fixed through a patch/app?
Sorry if this has been talked about already.

Hey guys, I found this listing for an HD2. The reason why he's selling it is because he updated the software on it and now he doesn't get reception. is this something that can be fixed with a ROM?
Thanks a lot!
Any idea what he installed? Radio, Rom?
Here's what he said in his listing (caps are his, not mine):
THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH IT IS THAT I COULD NOT GET RECEPTION AFTER SOFTWARE UPGRADE, NOT SURE IF I DAMAGED IT OR SOFTWARE SETTINGS ISSUES OR SOMETHING ELSE, NO RETURNS PLEASE.
Sounds to me like he just put on the tmo official upgrade and the new radio in it just doesn't work well in his area. It's quite possible that a new radio, or maybe even just a hard-reset will clear it right up...but it's impossible to say for sure.
But if he's selling it cheap enough it might be worth the risk.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA app
Pretty vague and you may get lucky - but then again the guy may be smarter than you think and is trying to pass off something that he knows doesn't work. Yeah people on eBay like that really do exist. Ask really specific questions - what ROM, did he try to change settings, do a hard reset etc. You should be able to figure it out from there. He also could have damaged the radio if he pulled the plug when upgrading. I wouldn't try to solve the problem for him because you could make what seems like a bad to deal to others and get it cheap to a revised deal with no problems.
hi,
as we know, nexus 4 has Broadcom chip that support fm radio, but no antenna wired.
Now my question, in jeremy clarkson style, is: How hard can it be connect the antenna pin to the headphone wire? there are some problem doing this?
and the last one: in other device how is this done? only cable or not?
if you know someone who known about electronic ask him

Hah, this was actually discussed in last week's Pocketnow podcast. I guess it isn't easily done, messing with the hardware is something else.

what they said about it?
Hi everyone,
I consider buying the G2 (D802) but hold myself off after hearing users complaining about some issues.
Two of the main problems I heard of are GPS lock and touch responsiveness. I read many posts on this and tried to look for the problem and still haven't come to a conclusiuion whether it's a software or harware issue.
Can anyone please some this whole thing for me please? is there a solution to the above? would you still recommend this device anyway?
Thank you very much.
I would say less than 1 percent of people who have such issues.

Still. I had like to know that there is a way to fix it so I won't get stuck with it.
I read the threads reagarding those issues, especially about the touch and it seems that there is no solution yet. Very disappointing to see a company like LG that doesn't give a damn about it's customers... \=
Personally, if the problem is a hardware directly related, then I would say the only fix is returning the product to seller or sending it in for repair. That's the only fix.
If it is a firmware related one, ............. ummm, I haven't seen anyone complaining about GPS or touchscreen sensitivity issue right out of the box. Give me a link if you can.
However, if we hack it, root it, install custom recovery, ROMs, apps and then having problem then it is user problem, OUR problem, not LG.
I said less than 1% in previous post, I should have said less than 0.01% who might have problem to begin with and it might probably be a hardware problem.

You can see in this forum a thread about the touch issue. It has about 12 pages of people complaining. It happens out of the box. Some weird **** man, but thanks anyway .
I hope this is the right place to post this, please feel free to hate on me if not. Kinda new here.
Has there been any word on rooting or at least unlocking the bootloader on the ZMax Pro? Ever since the B14 update my rear camera doesn't work. Has anybody else experienced this? The flash as a flashlight either, which is very scary in the dark! I have to use the screen light oldskool-style! And of course I already tried factory resetting and everything...
I feel with it rooted at least I'd have a fighting chance at fixing it, already violated any warranty taking it apart to make sure somehow the connectors didn't get shook loose.
Or if at least the bootloader would give me a start. The camera, when it worked before the update, was nice for my macrophotography.
And while I don't think it's possible, I figured I'd ask.. Is there a way to downgrade?
Thanks, any info is appreciated.. Even if it's just to say "wrong board, n00b!"
You should search before you post.

People on Xda don't like posting without searching first. Just warning you so people don't jump on you lol. They have some people working on it over at https://androidforums.com/threads/zte-zmax-pro-official-root-discussion.1110550/page-70
Well, the rear camera problem is a problem that is hardware related. The ribbon for the camera fell off from the board as I do have personal experience from this happening to me

Most issues are bond to android 7.0 itselfs so give kudos to lg for postponing update to oreo.

I don't really see how that helps the original poster with his problem.

So help him out.Your post is even more pointless. Clue of my post is that :"system is broken no resolvable until update" The only thing I can tell is that some guy who has htc 10 as well reported connectivity issues on LG. Without root which is pointless(unless you do not take care about warranty) you can do nothing. Edit: To original poster protip Use your headphone jack which for some people is not so easy accessible.
I experienced this too on my tronsmart bluetooth speaker

If I had an answer I would have given it to him. If I don't have an answer to someone's question I don't reply. Maybe you should keep that in mind in the future.
