Mine got cut on accident when i was changing my setup around so i have to buy another one. Its a real small dude, thats all i know. Anyone know where i can get one for >5$ maybe a little more?
Thanks
I don't know about finding one for that cheap, but it's the same one as for the xoom I think. Might make it easier for you to find.
thanks i found it here, cant tell if its the right one or not.
A used one is 8$ so its not that bad...

Unfortunately, the only place you can get them is directly from Motorola. The cost is $29.95. I'm sorry but I can not find the email from Moto with the direct link. But if you initiate i.m. conversation they can send you the same email they sent me to order it.
the wire got cut? thats an easy fix just get some shrink tubing from homedepot and reattach the wire.

If it was cut, a little bit of tape and enough knowledge to tell color diffrences and you can use your old one

I work in a machine shop and there are a lot of very fine steel chips everywhere. When I put my phone in my pocket all of the fine chips get sucked into the phone from the external speaker magnet and the ear pc receiver magnet. The same thing was happening to me when I had a NexTel phone that had a much more powerful external speaker so, it was kind of understandable. But, at any rate I took the phone completely apart and cleaned the external speaker and that sounds fine now. I also cleaned the ear pc speaker but, I think some steel chips are too far in because the speaker still sounds like **** or it blew from having the chips on it too long. I would rather just replace the speaker myself instead of getting a re-furbished replacement from t-mobile. I looked all over but can't find a replacement ear pc. at all. It would be really cool if anybody know a place to get these type of pcs. Thanks in advance.
Come on guys. You mean to tell me that nobody on this forum knows where to get replacement parts. I find that hard to believe.
Thanks for the help. Lol
Mike,
If nobody has replied, then I guarantee you that nobody who has read your question knows where to find that part.
Now, there are a number of places that sell some types of replacement parts for the HD2...things like digitizers/screens, outer shells, buttons, etc, but I've never seen an item like the speaker you need sold through any distributor. That's the kind of part that rarely finds it's way into normal distribution channels, and so your best bet is to find a junked HD2 that doesn't work for some other reason, but has no problem with the earpiece, and then it would just be up to you to extract the component you need and pop it into your unit.
You can just do a regular google search for "HD2 replacement parts" to find the standard outlets for that type of thing, but I honestly doubt any of them will have exactly what you're looking for.
a few weeks ago I remember seeing a bricked hd2 for sale on ebay for parts. perhaps you can check ebay.

yeah that will be ideal if that guy can get he earpiece for it...he's got some for other models anyway. I note that he's got the pic and the title messed up for the HD2, it's listed as the "Touch HD2", with a pic of a TouchHD...and he's using the HD2 pic for the HD Mini lol.
Thanks everyone. I'll try the cell parts website that was mentioned and if that doesn't work I'll just do a claim on my insurance and get a functional refurbished one. It sucks, but what are you gonna do. I frown uppon refurbished phones. Lol. Thanks again guys for the responses.

Hi, So Im looking for somewhere that sells springs for the desire z because my hinge is starting to get worn a little bit.
Anyone know where i can get some that ship to Ireland or is there another product I can take them from?
I cant find them anywhere.
Thanks
I have looked for these as well with no luck. I have seen a howto fix that stetched the current springs to fix. But this would have to make them weaker in just doing that.
If have one out and measured might be able to order something like grainger industrial.

Whenever I find a site that posts to me they're always really expemcive with shipping coming in around at 20 euros r so its outrageous. So I really want a good spring because I think tht would make me want to keep my phone for longer

Glad you got the spring Bombadier.
For instructions, the movie is pretty good. I freeze framed it a couple of times but it worked out good.
One advice is to not apply too much pressure when prying the back open. I mean you do, but control it so that you do not "go through" with the tool. I read about somebody that broke through the volume switches.
Also, when you get to the spring, do not take it apart more than you need, I did inadvertently, and then I had to figure out how those hinges are put together...
The spring, as I said is twice long as needed (and then a little bit) so make sure you cut it nicely. Please read my original post. Good luck.

do you guys think it would be worthwhile to make a spacer or is the compressed space all taken up by the spring?
No need, if you don't buy the springs posted into the op of that other thread (forget who the post is by, but it has a link to the springs and a tutorial) for $4 (for three of them) you could probably find then locally for a dollar or so from various hardware store or hobby shops. Making a spacer may just be a lot of work for nothing better than a new spring. Even if you have something lying around that was near perfect it just wouldn't be worth the hassel

problem is im not in the states, and I used to be an Airsoft tech before i went back to college so i know exactly how expensive(and getting quality parts is trouble too) getting the springs are gonna be(after conversion about $20 which is way too much for springs) for the same reason I don't use ebay so if I could send someone trustworthy the money for the parts and shipping I would be most grateful
So you don't live near a major city? I mean if you don't I get it, it may be hard to find the locally. So if you are going to rule out a local online seller too I guess you could make a spacer. You would need to trim the spring down smaller and spacer would need to be a cylinder shape (like the spring) and maybe 6-10mm long. Plastic or metal, or well any other hard material. This against the old spring may help, but may also not do a whole lot.
The only problem with all this is to find the proper material, if you got something lying around that seems close you could widdle it to shape, it just seems like a heck of a lot of work for a try and try again kinda project.

I have a i800 tab and was wondering if anyone knew of a site/company that sold.parts for them. I have searched Google quite a bit and can't find a site that sells parts for these tabs. I did find a site that sold parts but mainly for the sprint version not sure how much internally is different though. I am mainly looking for the center piece of plastic frame where all the buttons are located in. If anyone knows of anywhere for parts hep would be greatly appreciated thanks everyone

Yea the first link is one of the first sites I looked at just wasn't for sure if the button placement and everything internal is the same on the us cellular model. And the fact that u have to buy 5 of them lol but hey if they are the same and decent priced I won't mind 4 spares lol....second link I just saw accessories no parts.
Yea the night I posted this I had checked eBay and didn't see anything I will have to keep an eye open. Thanks guys if anyone knows of any more I would appreciate it.

Still looking globaldirect will not sell parts to an individual. They claim to only sale to companies that do repairs not direct to the consumer. I don't understand the logic behind it.

That sux, go to one of the phone repair shops near you, and make a deal, you pay say $5 over the price of the parts if they order, and give them to you.
Then you make the repair.

Are you looking for something like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/BACK-COVER-...992625?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item519b9b3af1
Actually yes those are the parts I am looking for only problem is they are for GSM only. I found one other that's states it is for P1000 only. Man why are finding parts so hard I would even buy a damaged tablet to get the chassis piece I need lol. Thank you one more.bump to see if anyone can give me one last pointer to find the parts. Thank you everyone

Does anybody know where to find a replacement DAU board for my tf101, and its associated wire harness.
It is the daughter board containing the power and volume buttons. I am trying to repair my tf101, and this part is the culprit and needs to be replaced.
I haven't been able to find a site online with the part, so I was hoping perhaps somebody else has already come across it somewhere and could point me in the right direction with a link...
Thanks!
is it not one of these?

Hmm.... yes, that first part appears to be what I'm looking for....
....but that turns out to $75 USD and a month wait for a tiny little PCB, which does seem totally absurd given how tiny this part is.
I guess its off to eBay for me...

Ya that would be your best bet. You might be able to find a scrap 101 from the XDA market as well
I found my old Aria in a box the other day, sadly all broken to pieces thanks to an ex many years ago. I miss that phone. I would like to find another one just to toy around with, but all searches yield shady sellers asking over $125 for one! Obviously, these can't be real cuz no one would pay that kind of money (I hope! Lol).
Any chance someone has one laying around neglected or knows of some used or refurbs online somewhere that aren't asking gold in exchange for stale bread?
Many thanks!
Probably pretty hard to find one if you're going through normal channels.
