Hi,
I'm using Floyo 0.25 and recently i've noticed that my batter will reach about half way or just less than that and then display that it's almost out of charge for a few minutes and then jump back up to normal.
Any ideas what could be causing the calibration to be off like this?

I have a non-urgent but pretty weird and annoying problem with my battery status. After charging (usually overnight), it sticks at 99-100% for most of the day if I barely use it. Once it gets below that, it steadily depletes faster and the last 10% is gone within an hour. The battery life itself is fine, for which I'm grateful! If I barely use my phone it will last four days or so and easily last a single day under heavy use. Strangely, if I reboot my phone, which I do maybe once a week, it suddenly ducks down to a more realistic number; say 50% before rebooting and suddenly it's down to 30% after.
Is there any way to fix the meter to indicate the true state? I can imagine there should be some way to calibrate it or I could even calibrate it manually if that's possible, setting the current 90% to 50% and 50% to 30% or so.
It might be relevant to know that I'm using Dutty's 4.3 Final WM6.1 ROM. Does anyone have experience with this or have ideas to point me in the right direction?
I am
I am using duty holy grail 2.1 win 6.5 with modified icons cab and i find that if it seems to be on a certain percentage for awhile i just soft reset the phone and it will drop 5 or 6 percent and start displaying properly.
My battery is similar although not as extreme. The first half of indicated charge lasts far longer than the last half. Also if i reset my phone the indicated charge will drop by around 20%.
It has done this since i've had it on standard Orange Rom.

I have the same problem!!!!!
Other thing I realized is the radio of my phone is always communication, i know that because if Iput my phone near a sound box (like my sux sound box pc) the box make a noise every 4 seconds, stop 10 sec and starts again...
Some one else saw it happen too?
Same battery probem...
Hi at all.
I have the same problem, the phone stay with aproximatly full percentage for 6-7 hours, but after these hours at hevery call the battery go down fast...
And, during the last 30% of the battery percentage the countdown is very fast....
can be possibile only 2 or 3 short calls, at maximal.
Problem of windows mobile software, or htc hardware...?
The battery meter inside windows have the same problem.
Best regards.
Luigi P.
Same issue here.
I believe everyone has it, but as battery life is generally really ok nobody complains.
Same problem here.
When a Battest runs in the background, then is the indicator at 80-100mA but sometimes it goes up to 280 for 20-30 seconds.
I donĀ“t know if there a program which need the battery power or the indicator shows not correct.
I have this Problem since i updated the Radio Rom from 1.12.25.16 to 1.13.25.24.
When i backup the 1.12.25.16 the error is the same.
greets
Kenny

I've had similar issues after rebooting, particularly after doing something resource intensive like flashing or running a full backup. I think it's caused by a defect in the battery and plan on having Sprint replace my battery.

I had this issue twice already. I was not sure what the cause was. I believe it is a horrible battery bug.
I have this issue to. I went from 46 to 13. I also noticed that the battery meter in the staus bar seems off. While batt stat and gauge say i have 50% the meter looks if i have 80%
I was able to reproduce this bug fairly easily by rebooting while the phone is on the AC Charger while it's really low. I turned it back on and it went to like 50% when it really was at 10%. I unplugged it from the AC and then "Shutdown" not reboot. Turned it back on and it went back to 10%. Yeah just seems like a battery bug.
You dont actually lose that battery life, your phone just doesn't display it correctly. I bet you will be @ 3% for a loooooong time, also if you charge your phone, it will charge a lot faster than normal untill you reach 60% again.
I just notice after 4.3 update, my battery life suffers a lot. When I check BBS, the main culprit is surfaceflinger. I know its all about the display it shows in the screen but how can it eat almost all the power? Max screen time I get is 2.5 hours. Anyone experiencing it? Last post regarding this says its normal but I have my phone for the longest time but I think the drain is not normal.
Hello everyone, i just purchased a second hand Note 3 N9005. The phone was bought 1 year ago. Everything is fine except two things.
1) Battery: As soon as i charge the phone battery drops really quick down to 80%. For example it discharges 10%+ or more during night (wifi, mobile data off), if i use the phone it will drop to 80% in a matter of minutes. No obvious reason for the drain in my eyes. As soon as i hit 80% it starts to behave more normally. The more i discharge it the harder it gets to run down the battery ! Last night i was trying to fully discharge it. Battery was down to 1% and it took 45+ minutes of youtube playback to go from 1% to empty !!! Moreover at night if battery is under 80% with 7-8 hours of sleep it won't drop at all. As soon as i plug in the phone it goes from 0% to 15% instantly ! Then it charges normally.
Is this behavior normal ? I mean the no linear discharge. I've had LG G2 before and Nexus 4 and i didn't have this issue.
If this is not normal, is it most likely a damaged battery or could it be phone's fault/ inability to read the battery charge correct?
2) S-Pen. I have noticed that it needs some pressure to work. I've tried Note Pro 12.2 S Pen on the phone and it works with a lot less pressure. I've opened the pen and increased it's sensitivity it got better but still not as comfortable to use like the S-pen from the Note 12.2. Anyone else noticed this ?
Thanks in advance for your time
Are you using the stock charger ?

Yeah i have changed the tip. I even tried a tip from the Note 12.2 pen, same thing. I think it comes down to a sensitivity issue.

Yeah already done that ! No matter how much i increase the sensitivity it never feels the same as the Note 12.2 S Pen ....
Rockfreak I'm also having the same exact problem of the battery, my battery drains from 100% to 82% in less than 25 minutes after that its solwing down, there is a strange thing some certain percentage is hard to be drained easily as some time it takes 10 minutes to drain a certain percentage specifically i can't understand why but I believe for some reason the system is not reading the exact percentage and capacity of the battery.
However, although of the strange battery behavior I'm getting almost 5 and half an hour screen on time no matter how long I'm idle also i never close my 3g connection and it's always connected as H+.
Moreover, i tried to use battery calibration application that doesn't require root access (my N3 is not rooted) when the mobile is in the charger and fully charged notfication appears i restart the mobile without unplugging it from the adapter once it's boot i go to the batter application program and press calibrate then i unplug my mobile.
In this excact period of time i can notice a big difference in the battery behavior and it starts to drain almost normally, anyhow, I'm still getting the same excact screen on time which is around 5 to 5 and half hour, also as soons as the battery reaches 0% or 5% and i charge it again to 100% and get the battery full notification the misbehavior starts again.
I tried alot of things but unfortunately with no luck. So i decided that ignorance is a gift xD

With that amount of screen time i wouldn't be bothered either ....I'm getting 90-120 minutes of screen time maximum in under 1 day usage....thanks for the info though
Issue 1 -
I always fully charge my phone. But, sometimes if I discharge it at a (%) below 100% than it stuck at that (%) for almost 15-20 minutes even after continuously using it and then discharges normally.
Ex :- If I discharge it at 57% and then start using it. So, the battery % will stuck at 57% and will change to 56% after 15-20 minutes or more.
Any solution to this?
Issue 2 -
I am using this device from 2 years but after I moved to stock rom in July 2019. I saw a weird issue i.e. If my battery percentage is 84% and I am using it for 5 minutes. So, now it should change to 83% it changes. But if I press Power Button and lock the device and then unlock the device, then it shows 83%. In simple words, the battery % changes/refreshes/updates immediately when I lock the screen and unlock it. With Screen ON it takes time to change %. My phone gives almost 5-6 hours Screen on Time and I am fine with it. But why these issues exist?
Any solution to this?
PS:- I have calibrated the battery many times, but it doesn't fix these issues.
If you know fix regarding any of these issues, please reply and mention for which "Issue (1/2)" you are telling the fix. ?
