Beats

Hi on numerous forums ive seen talk of beats etc,not that im going to jizz in my pants but has this been a perfected intergration or just loads of testing etc
ive checked the forums, but its so random, with loads of post, anyone just 'know' off the top of there head
Seems to be working perfectly on RCMix3d runnymede 1.4, i certainly don't have any problems with it.

I have beats by dre studios and DHD i put RCMix3d runnymede 1.4 and the beats software works great. But it's nothing i mean if you use powerAMP and put the equalizer to Bass & Treeble the quality (with beats studios always) is much better than with the beats software..
That's all software . No hardware changes in BEAT phones unfortunately . SRS/Wow effects ... such a crap.
By yourself a quality headsets, that could make you a difference.

The beats software in say...the sensation xe can (somehow) detect what type of headphones you have(so there is a hardware difference) and it base different sound for each type of beats headphones.......you have beats studios....and in rcmix runny the default(because we cannot get our phone to detect it) is beats solo....that's why it doesn't sound as good....I have beats solo and it sounds reallly good with beats solo and some skullcandies

it has been integrated into the rom and works very well. I am using the rom as in my signature
Thanks for all the replys,if its just more of a gimmick i might leave it,i know an eq might just do the job. I have tried runnys rom its very nice, but sadly sense 3.5 has left me saddened by the overall grey tone of it all lol.Iphone..htc's are not!.The rosie is a bit of a cruncher as well. Also the keyboard has no arrows! something ive come to find extremeley useful.Im not putting the rom down though, thats why custom roms are out there and thriving haha. You like what you like. Im still waiting for insertcoin to get his ass in gear and come over to the hd a bit more.He was a legend on my old desire
I like SRS more than Dolby or Beats.
SRS is good with more Bass.
Dolby is for speakers and it doesn't sound good for headphones.
Beats is too flat and may sound good with Beats headphones, I am not sure.
I am using Audio Technica ATH M50.

DHD Audio Enhancements - No Sense

Hi everyone
Quick question here. Is it possible to use the Desire HD's audio enhancements such as Dolby, SRS and Beats on non-Sense ROM's or is it hardcoded into the Sense framework?
Thanks
If you go into my user profile and look at the threads I've started you can see how to enable these enhancements on aosp roms.

will try this evening...
Any luck? Does this really work?
Yes it does. And it is system wide so you can use the sound enhancements in any app.

[q] Music quality in Sense Builds vs. AOSP/AOKP/CM9?

So lately I've been alternating a lot between Gingerbread with Sense and Ics with AOKP. Apart from the obvious performance ICS has over GB&Sense, the Sense builds excel in one thing and that's music sound quality. It's not even the Beats audio thing because even in builds with no Beats, the sound quality in Sense builds is SO much better, it's really annoying to use ICS. The music isn't just bass-less, but even high tones sound crackled and bad under the same speakers/headphones they sound REALLY good at on Sense builds.
What causes this? Could this be the infamous Bravia engine I've seen touted about on the forum?
If so, is it portable to ICS?
If not, is there any solution for the poor music quality under ICS?
Sent from my Android HTC HD2 using Premium XDA app.
I've notice the same thing. with Ics rom when its loud sounds like the music its damaged. With GB plays great

This is true.
Now Im using ICS ROM. Playing music with PowerAmp and the quality is great. Player has many settings to improve the music quality.
you also could try flashing beats audio from the android market.

Tried flashing Beats Audio, never could get it to work.
As for the other replies - are you guys suggesting this is the player app's fault rather than the actual kernel?

For me dsp manager with some settings(i don't remember, i'm on sense 3.5) works fine but i agree with you that sense roms are the best in audio (loud and great bass)

[SOUND BOOST] MIUI ROMs

i have searched the whole google and xda......plus i have tried all the mods and apks (including volume+,DSP manager, xxxpachaxxx xloud mods etc. etc....)....to INCREASE THE VOLUME OF THE SPEAKER!!!!!
its soooooo frustating....
i mean i just love miui roms.....but i dont understand why such wonderful rom is not having this basic feature......the volume is TOO LOW...

I think, all that does is that it changes the sound quality rather than increasing it. If you want to listen to music, just get powerAMP then go to equalizers and raise the equalizer which says "preamp". What it does is that it increases the output so you get a louder sound...
let me get the poweramp ......i'll try and see to it now...
and by the way.....srs apk didnt work...
my rom is RD-MIUI 2.4.13.....
i will let u knw i a bit...
thanks champ!
peace in.

That's strange that neither Dolby activator or power amp worked!
What Kernel are you using?
It might be an idea to try changing to a different one like LordModUE, TalonACE, Tiamat or PachaKernel SuiTE.
i am using kernel version
2.6.35.14-lordModUE
and i am still so confused man......what shld i do.....i can bearly hear any ringtone when i get a call....or listen to the music.....
i dnt know whats wrong with the MIUI Roms man.....
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
Sorry man, I honestly dnt kno. For me when I was on Miui.us the volume was fine after I activated Dolby Mobile, n dnt think it would av gone much louder as the back vibrated loads at full volume n was pretty loud.
Now I have left Miui and am using xxxpachaxxx xloud mod, and that works even better, but that is inconjunction with his Rom.
So maybe a combination of the xxxpachaxxx kernel and xloud mod will do the trick!?
Other than that I'm out of ideas sorry
no worry dear.....u helped me so much.......
replied to all my queries man......
can u give me the link for xxxpachaxxx kernel spikey?.....
and i am using the same old RD-MIUI 2.4.13v1.0 rom.......so i wanna know......is it the right kernel for me?
last task for u my man...if u can...

No problem man, just sorry could't help more.
The link to the Kernel is found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1518896
I think that you should be alright to use one of the versions of the kernel with your rom, but I suggest asking in that thread just to make sure before flashing it.
Hope it works!!
That's how MIUI roms are lol and normally everyone gets low volume out of their DHD speakers.

which gives the best sound rom ?

Do you think... which rom is better gives volume and bass
Pls.... sense 3.6 and 4.0 4.1 To comment on these versions
Not ;important for me to bass...!!!
accessory in-ear ; sennheiser cx-200
music player ; Poweramp Full version
phone ; DHD

How does sabsa prime compare to icecoldsandwich? Is there a big difference? I like icecoldsandwich but i also value audio quality so i would probably switch if there was a big difference.

Super galaxy is pretty good too. It has the best call quality for sure.
For music player, I would recommend ViperDHD v1.1.0 as it brings you the best sound experience with stock headphone with many sound effects for your choice.
