Its just "Browser", not tw brwser or anything. Also, twlauncher and go launcher has nothing to do with the default browser.
Go to settings, applications, installed applications, find "Browser", click on it and scroll down till you find clear default.

Under settings --> applications --> select all, its called internet. Clear defaults from there.

Done. Thanks a lot
It was tw launcher and it was in all application tab rather than in downloaded app tab. So I guess its the stock launcher

Home screen editing.......

Sorry if m posting this again, I searched here but I couldn't find it.
I wanna knw how to change the size of home screen widget
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Depends on which launcher you are using. AFAIK launcher Pro and the TW 4.5modded both allow widget resizing.
Hope this helps
M using the inbuilt launcher
Is it possible in it?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
nope, doesnt work with stock-launcher.
try tw 4.5 modded or Go Launcher or something else.
Good Luck
I use the modded TW 4.5 launcher. If you search the I9000 thread you will find it;-) It's free to download.

u can use link2sd to freeze(disable) system apps easily.
No I mean like when you go to setting and select a system app then the gb has the unclickable unistall button but is there way to modify that to change into disable. Thanks anyways.
Sorry for bad english.

[Q] I selected the wrong app to always open a function.

While in the Facebook app I mistakenly selected a browser to ALWAYS open a YouTube link. I don't want it set that way and how can I remove that it is set this way? I am rooted by the way.
Settings, apps, browser, clear defaults should do it.

Yup, Thank You

Change the default browser.

Hello.
I flashed PandroidAndroid rom and I wanted to ask if it is possible to delete Android Browser and use Chrome Browser as a system browser.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Yes. Just install chrome and it'll ask if you want it to be default. Or you can delete Browser.apk from system/app.
Go to settings > apps then choose the android browser. Scroll down and press clear defaults.
Next time you open a link or anything else that redirects to a browser chose chrome and press always.

I wonder why you'd want to do that, but yes.
You can either just set chrome as default browser or delete the AOSP one completely.
When you open a link, you should be prompted with a selection of all installed browsers. Just choose the one you like.
Still, I'd recommend against chrome due to performance and privacy concerns.
Thank you all.
I want the Google Chrome to be undeleteable like the system apps(Google Maps for example).

You can use titanium backup pro to both uninstall the Android Browser and convert chrome to a system app.

Note that whenever you update your ROM the AOSP browser will be reinstalled again so you'll have to repeat the process.

[i9500] Not keeping home screen defaults

Every time I turn on, or restart my phone, I get the screen to select a launcher. I do not have any other launcher installed and every time I select touchwiz and click always, it does not stay.

Seems Odd
-Go to Applications manager
-In the TW launcher clear all data and clear all defaults.
-Restart and reorganize the layout ( If u have multiple launchers you will be prompted to choose a default one )
-Turn off and back on and see.
Hope it helped.

I seem to have hit this problem this week too, a workaround while I figure out why it happens is to disable/freeze other launchers so there's only one left.

It's a separate application, hold the application in the select default app dialog and click disable.

Hmm, that's weird, I used Titanium Backup to freeze it.
I wonder if the app clean master deleted any file needed to keep the default launcher after restarting the phone

backup your apps and do the factory reset......................:after that you'l be :good:
