Hi y'all!
Currently, I'm running CM7 Nightly 177 on my NookColor and I have the custom partition scheme on my NookColor's internal memory. (/data = 2GB & /media 4GB)
I'm recently being troubled by not having enough memory for all of my apps. I have too many, but I don't want to uninstall them so I would like to increase my data partition.
Is there an existing .zip partition scheme that would give me the ff:
OPTION 1:
/data = 3GB
/media = 3GB
or...
OPTION 2:
/data = 4GB
/media = 2GB
Right now, the only ones I was able to find are:
Old NookColor:
/data = 1GB
/media = 5GB
Blue-dot NookColor:
/data = 5GB
/media = 1GB
and
Custom (I'm currently using this one)
/data = 2GB
/media = 4GB.
I've just realized that I don't use the emmc's memory that much so it would be great if I can take some of that unused memory and give it to the /data partition for my apps.
Any ideas?
If I'm correct, this link may help with what you are trying to do. Hope it does!!

If you follow DeanGibons's post linked by NeedaUN... substitute +402 for the +121 in the partitioning commands.
It should give you 3 GB/3GB
I have the original Nook Color (I think...) I have now partitioned it to 2GB data and 4GB media (I think...)
Could someone help me get it to the newer original one? It's 5GB data and 1GB media right? I have a SD-card anyways, and I want to take it back to stock B&N Nook Color. Meaning that it makes more sense with less media... right?

I use this procedure when I install a fresh HyperDroid v6.0 ROM to setup an ext4 partition to take full advantage of the Apps2SD functionality.
Format your SD card using SD Formater
In option settings, set up your format for Full (Overwrite) and format size adjustmant to on. This will take awhile depending on the size of your card.

Partition our sd card using Partition Wizard. You can find the free version over at cnet downloads. This is an easy tool to use once you figure it out. I kind of stumbled my way through a few times before I figured it out.
First thing you will want to do is resize your primary storage. Basically I just use the arrow down until I get the size of ext4 partition I'm looking for. In this case I just reduce the size by about 1 gig. What's nice about the Partition Wizard is that it automatically moves the unallocated memory to the back, which is where you want your ext4 partition to be when you are all done.
Once the resize is done, I will now create a new partition for the ext4:
Then I will set up the formats for both partitions; the primary being FAT32 @ 32kb and the second partition being ext4 @ 4kb, also a primary partition. Keep in mind you must label your second partition as sd-ext. If you don't label it, the apps will not move or install to the partition location. You do not have to label your primary storage. Highlight the partition that you want to set the format on and click the format button, then once you've entered what you want your format to be, then hit okay, select the next partition and repeat:
Once that is done, select Apply there on the left hand side. It shouldn't take too long and once you are done you should have something that looks like this:
Now you're ready to install HyperDroid v6.0 with a fully functional ext4 partition.
Please help me with /system memory????
what does it mean???

Here is a SS from Link2sd.

go through all your apps in link2sd and click create link and then link everything to your 2nd partition
you may have to uninstall a few apps first if it comes up not enough storage and then once you have linked your apps you can install them again
if you have already linked apps then you must have an app that uses a hell of a lot of data - you can see what app that could be if you arrange apps in order of data use and then clear data of that app (note any saved settings/progress and so on within the app will be lost)
sometimes some apps misbehave after linking....specially software update thing:what:

The internal memory where user apps are installed is of /data partition.
So freeing up /system partiton is useless...instead u need to b concerned with freeing up /data partition(which is sufficiently free...I guess)
However, extra apps or scripts in /system partition CAN fill up RAM btw:sly:

maybe you have too many system apps installed.. you should delete some
I flashed the zip containing the V300A Lollipop ROM based on the official Korean release. I found something suspicious about the free space, I was expecting a lot more free space to be available in the internal memory than on Kitkat since I moved some apps to the SD card. I have only about 2 GB free space reported by the system. If I use a file manager like Total Commander and try to get the amount of space occupied by all the folders in the internal memory, I get about 3 GB of space that should be occupied. I see something funny in the Misc section, as there are 4.65 GB of space occupied by System Data that I can't remove. I suspect that Android does a poor job on mounting the obb and data directories from the SD card and that it reports the space as being occupied twice. Can you share your situation?
Edit: I may have misinterpreted the data that the interface is showing, but I based some of my observations on what KitKat interface was showing me. It still does not explain why summing up the size of the folders does not add up to the occupied size of the internal memory.

I know and I think I understand why. There are 12 GB of internal space left for the user, this space is occupied by apps. I noticed that after a reset the space available to the user on Lollipop is around 7 GB, right after reset. It is too little for me. I had the impression that on KitKat it was more, but it is about the same.
Have been using the Adoptable Storage feature for a while however I have suddenly reached the dreaded Internal Storage space running out message
As you can see I have 16Gb Internal Storage and a 128Gb SD Card which I have partitioned half of that as Adopted Storage and the other half as Portable Storage

Since my SD Card Adopted has plenty of available space (approx. 50.72GB) where as the Internal Storage has only (750MB) I was expecting that Android would continue using the Adopted storage.
Thinking I had to manually move some of the contents from Internal into Adopted I decided to use the Migrate data
The prompt told me that after the export was completed it would result in freeing up 3.69GB in my device storage.
I'd assume this meant my Internal Storage would gain extra space but instead it was being filled up.
After reading this post from another forum it suggests that the Migrate data does the opposite ie transfer from Adopted back to Internal. Is that right??
From the first image where you see SD card Adopted has 9.11GB used, when you drill down it tells me 13.28GB is used
Then if I choose one of the apps from drilling down Used space eg Word it says its stored in external storage device
When you press Change to have a look it says its in SD card not SD card Adopted.
This makes no sense as I had previously transferred it to Adopted. And when I select Adopted on this screen it still stays as SD Card.
So is this how it is for others?
I hope this will be a simple solution. It appears that I am using nearly all of my 20.9 GB of Internal Storage available on my LG G6 (VS988 Rev.1.0 with Verizon). When I connect my phone to my PC and open the properties for the internal storage, the windows explorer shows 20.6 GB are used out of 20.9 available.

However, when I select all the files and folders in my internal storage, it shows that there are only 9.46 GB worth of files in my Internal Storage. This means that there are 11.14 GB of storage that is unaccounted for. Note that I also downloaded a disk analyzer on my phone and it also shows a similar file usage (it has total occupied drive space at 21.64 GB but shows my drive usage at 10.16 GB).
I have my computer set to show hidden files. Are there additional hidden files that I don't have the ability to see? Is it possible that I have a virus that is hidden from my file explorer? I was under the impression that I have 32 GB of storage space, and that ~10 GB of that storage is used for system files, leaving me with the 20.9 GB shown. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I've included screenshots of my phone's data analyzer below.
Thanks!
I use a great app to find out where my spaces are being consumed - "windirstat" (windirstat.net). There is a portable app somewhere if you don't want to install it on your pc. Gives a nice breakdown visually where the biggest files are. May help you
If you have root you can also use SD Maid apk.
There is a storage analyzer where you can browse folders sorted by size.
Or try to use more functions in there: duplicates, corpse finder etc.
