Anybody knows if it is possible to connect a standard UBS keyboard to Droid X?
I have been seeing stuffs on the internet about using a Micro USB-OTG cable to connect standard USB devices on an Android powered phone. I want hear if anybody have tried it on Droid X.
I have 2 otg cables one for my nexus 7 one for my S3 both cables work in both devices and i have a male to male usb cable, question is how can i get them to see each other so i can do direct transfer instead of using a usb drive or computer?? Can it be done??

First, have you tried to transfer content wirelessly between the two devices? That would bypass the need to use cables. You can use app's like ES File Explorer on the Nexus 7 to access other devices on the local network. Not familiar with the S3, but if it can access the wireless network its possible there may be settings to allow one to access the S3 from other wireless devices.
Second, to connect the two devices together via their respective USB-OTG cables you would most likely need to have a male type A to male type A USB adapter. Here is one example. The next problem is going to be how each device see's the other once connected. With some cell phones one has to put them into USB mode so other devices will see and mount the cell phone's storage.
Wireless works fine, just wanted to see if it could be done via cable also ive got the right cables they just dont see each other, unplug it n connect a flash drive and see's it so im guessing its not going to be simple.

On my non smart phone I have to put the phone into USB Mass Storage mode for the PC or my Nexus 7 to view and mount the storage space.
If your using a Samsung Galaxy S3, it may not support mass storage mode. But there is an app called USB Mass Storage APK, creates by a XDA Developed that may work. See this link for more info...

I'm thinking you would only want to use one OTG adapter when doing this. You want one of the devices to be the flash drive for the other. The one that will be controlling the session gets an OTG adapter and you connect the second device using a normal USB-to-MicroUSB cable. From the second device's perspective, it is being attached to a PC.
I use stickmount on my rooted N7 and put my HTC Sensation into USB storage mode. Then the N7 sees the HTC as a mounted folder.
I use a OTG lead in the N7 and a standard A to micro-B lead from that to the HTC.
I haven't used it the other way around, as the N7 doesn't have a Mass Storage mode.

Yes bro you can use the same USB cable to connect your phone to PC or laptop and transfer the files photos and videos between them. Your yureka will be visible in Computer as media player device or either as a phone depending on the settings you have selected on your phone. settings while connecting to PC. You can always change the mode from notification area visible on the top of your phone which is called status bar. As far as OTG cable is concerned that is a different cable which allows you to connect any flash drive to your phone and allow you to copy paste or read write the content of the flash drive or pendrive on your smartphone.
Does anyone no how to transfer music from a computer direct to smartwatch by connecting using a usb cable.
I would have thought this would be possbile as if an andrioid phone - however this has to be done by bluetooth.
Very frustrating.
so that i can copy over files/use side sync if needs be but also charge the phone properly and not slowly by connecting it to a PC usb port?
can you have the charging pad connected to a plug but also have the phone connected to a PC via USB for this?
i can't enable wifi since i always have my home BB maxed out and always use LTE
No

what happens if it's connected to a PC via USB and mounted and you then place it on a wireless charger?
seems stupid to have this tech, but have to go back to plugging in cables to copy data over. if you do that a lot then wireless charging is pointless no?
Use airdroid, it has a lot of uses.
Fried an otg flash drive that I placed on my charging pad while transferring pics.

problem is, i'd need to use wifi and that's what i'm not going to do. i upload PC backups via LTE and copying files to my phone over wifi would be slower than USB.
guess i'm stuck on cabled charging until everyone else copies what apples bringing out soon.
