Interesting. It's newer than JVR but older than JVS (in terms of build date and changelist). I'm curious to try the modem out.
EDIT: oh and yes, someone please move this to general.
Shouldn't this be in general section?

Is it straight from samsungs Kies or another leaked one? Sounds interesting.
Please move to General, more people will know about JV7. Thx

I used to have JV7 from orange before flashing JVR... Think it was delivered via kies around may/june. Granted it was BVJV7, not this but essentially same. It was good but was branded. So i changed.... So maybe not soo new?

Build date is Aug 22, JVR build date was July, you one must have been a JVP/JVQ'ish build.
This is a official KIES update
It's available for the Open network for Romania. Also there is a variant of this for Vodafone Romania.

Its not for Europe???
UM = TELCEL = Mexico
According to http://www.samfirmware.com/samsunglettercode.htm
It appears to be for TELCEL (Mexico) carrier, judging by "TCE" and "UM" codes in the file name.

Yes it is...but just flash another CSC and modem and voila unlocked!!!!
working after extracting the system files, adding siyah kernel and a different modem.
the modem is locked, no need to flash a different csc, but mostly it includes web links.
feels very smooth and fast.
After checking some stuff there is now way I'm flashing this to my device. Stock Kernel is available in the carrier firmware thread for those that want it.

It does I'm using it right now with Bouygues Telecom and working flawlessly...just have to change the CSC and modem...But I doubt it worths all the hassle. it's too provider customise and come with all TELCEL bloatwar; though, you still can remove them with Titanium back up....
I got feedback from a few pals that their UK device started to exhibit weird behaviour like random reboots and just got warm for no reason whilst the screen was off.

I flashed LG6 and my phone became SIM locked again. I used Voodoo SIM unlock but it keeps locking again on reboot.

Judged on the past firmwares and what's actually changed i don't think change-list is anything but a number . No evidence of say 50 changes when past firmware has jumped by 50 .
Change list 100 last release .
Firmware builds 110 115 125 not released .
Firmware build 130 released is more how it looks to me .
