Programs in weird resolution... - G2 and Desire Z General

I changed my lcd density to 190. Some programs adjust to it just fine, other programs look like they are squeezed to one side. Is there anyway to make those other programs "adjust" their resolution to fill up the screen properly instead of being crammed up in a corner?

OzVGA,I thought i am not stupid. But This thing is killing me

OzVGA is totally killing me. I have spent hours trying to make mu ozVGA setting work, but bloody thing is just do small.
After applying the VGA .dll's WHAT OZVGA SETTINGS DO YOU USE???
When i switch from seVGA to ozVGA things just go crazy small.
WHAT'S WRONG???
in oz im using these settings
1200 not bold
1350 not bold
19
19
19
750,900,975,1200,1500
The font arrays relate to the text size slider in the screen settings
I'm using the same font sizes for true VGA and for the qVGA-mode. It means that fonts are small on the screen but oh so beautiful! Larger font sizes just made certain things look ugly, which kinda defeated the purpose of switching to VGA, IMHO.
I guess it depends what you're using your Universal for. Most of the apps I'm using allow me to scale their fonts so when I need larger fonts I can have them. Only the Microsoft apps have unscalable fonts...
Make sure you have the text size set to medium in the Screen control panel applet. I found that it helps to turn Cleartype OFF as well.
And I wear glasses
what about phone app, myne goes all funny, and very small. I can barely see numbers, and the whole keypad just stays at the corner of the screen. that,s abir annoying.
and I think I will have to wear glasses very soon with text size like that.
svyatko - this is all being discussed in the other thread, with suggestions for replacements etc...

low resolution games

Is it possible to have lower resolution/different aspect ratio games be displayed centered on the screen with the remaining screen space left black ?
Default functionality is to place the graphics on the top of the screen with the remaining space underneath displaying whatever it was displaying when first starting the game (lower part of the today screen/calendar/whatever).
Something like nvidias stretch to fit while mainaining aspect ratio (on the pc)

TouchWiz height after changing screen density

I have experimented with lower screen densities on my SGS2. This makes much better use of the screen real-estate.
However, TouchWiz no longer fills the screen. Is there a way to alter the "height" of TouchWiz home pages?
There is a launcher.xml file in /data/data/com.sec.android.app.twlauncher/shared_prefs.
Does anyone have a list of valid options for this config file?

Difference between dencity and resolution?

How are these different
If we change dencity of android phone so is resolution will be the same?
Resolution of a display is the total number of pixels that the display contains.
The actual hardware density is constant, but the density that is presented to the software can be changed.
If a program needs to display something that needs to look a certain height, and the reported display density is 160 ppi, the program will use 16 pixels, but if the reported density is 200, that tells the program that the pixels are smaller, and it will use 20 pixels to present the same object. However, since the resolution is unchanged, the object will actually look bigger.
I hope that clears it up for you.
Thnkss a lot
And changing Density is certainly usefull for new High Resolution Devices that Cant Operate old apps fullscreen...
Changing means it should be kept to high,so that every object looks smaller and really becomes to look like high quality.

[Q] How to Change Screen Size?

I dropped my phone. Now, one strip of the screen (where the address bar in Chrome is) is no longer responsive to my touch.
I've come up with a workaround: using Nomone resolution changer to lower the screen height to avoid the problematic screen parts.
This is not ideal because the app removes screen size from both the top and the bottom, so I waste valuable screen real estate. Is there any app or any way I can adjust the screen height from only the top and not the bottom? Alternatively, feel free to suggest other workarounds

You can change system DPI in build.prop.
