Hello i just rooted my Xperia play with a guide here .
First i ulocked the booter then i did the rooting with a .img file called play_modded.img i started the phone and now my xperia play doesn't find my sim card or sd card and i can't even update. I'm in a bad bad bad situation now and i'm falling apart. Please how can i make my play to original . And the x10flashing tool didn't find my xperia when i tried to put a UK generic ftf file to it. Please help !

The phone starts up and you see the home screen though right??
Make sure that the sim and sd card are inserted properly and close the back cover tightly before turning the phone back on.

After a few reboots, it'll find them.
Okay the memory card is working but still i can't get the sim card to work :/ any solutions to this ? i've heard about some program like Setool that can repair but i can't find a download site where i can get a version that works for xperia play.

Hello everybody! After i upgraded my diamond to a new rom, i lost all my contacts from the sim card!! Oh men.....i'm desperated! Searched, searched and searched but didn't find anything. If there is anyone that can help me, i'm sure that is you all....Is there any cab, exe software or anything else that can restore my contacts from sim card?

are you sure they aint on your siom and just need copying back to phone using your sim manager ?
just a thought . When i copy mine over to my phone from my sim they also stay on the sim. If you added them new into the phone i fear they are lost my friend

I've checked many times and in the sim card there's only one contact...I encountered software to use from the desktop pc and a sim card reader but obviasly i don't have a card reader....It's almoust incredible that there isn't a pda software to restore data from sim card....

Do you have your SIM contacts on the HTC or your PC?. If you use Outlook for example you will find that the first activsync session you did the SIM contacts were transerred to your PC contacts (at least that is what happened with me). If they are there then a new activsync session should get them back on the HTC and you can then use SIM Manager to transfer them back onto the SIM.
If you have no copies anywhere then you need some data recovery software. I do not know if there is any recovery software that works on internal memory rather than hard discs - you could try googling to see.
ive reflashed a freinds uk t-mobile compact 3 to wm6.1 but it will not see any sd cards at all ive tried botht he htc sd enhancement and the artimis HCSD cab. if i hard reset then it will not see any sd cards at all im begining to think the sd card reader my be stuffed has anyone got any ideas i as im stumped

theres the possibilty of its the rom you flashed with.. (MAYBE)
i faced the same problem when i flashed to a rom the other day (im a flashing junkie) and no hdsd card was in file explorer.. when it should of been, i even tried installing all the hdsd cabs i could get my hands on, yet still nothing..
i flashed to a differant rom an without installing any cab.. it was there in file explorer..
soo.. try a differant rom..
remember to ''uspl-1.11.cmon'' first.. if you havnt already..
but if you dont have ''spl - 1.11.cmon'' at your device startup (red writing when you swith it on) --- ill STRONGLY suggest you do that first mate

put Sd card into a card reader, in pc.. then format to fat32/fat..

try to restore you phone go to setting, sd card and phone settings, unmount sd card then top format sd card remember you need to back up your phone everything will be erase...

Before anything, im sorry for posting as i searched and couldnt find anything and i found that this may be the appropriate place to post.
i have an HTC m8 (Android) and my screen is broken, it also has a pass code and for me to connect with usb ill have to accept the data transfer (which i cant).
is there any program i can install to an Sd card that will force download all data to it? or is there a way that i can see and control my phone through pc? anything to recover my data.
i tried taking it to support but no garantee and i was charged 200Euros for a new screen... so no go lol
appreciate any help i can get.

1. For accessing device memory- i do not know.....
2. For sd card- pull off sd card and put in other phone.
Alternatively there is China touchscreen which is 1/6 the price of original. Find if compatible screen is available . so u can use ur phone back. Mail for queries [email protected]
Hello everyone, I have a serious problem and I was searching over the internet to find a solution but failed. So I had a Ale L21c185b120, then I updated it with the firmware c185b525 middle East and African version available on the Huawei consumer pk page. After the update everything was fine, all my apps, files, sd card was there. But I noticed that phone was a bit slow so I decided to factory reset it. I took the Sd card out of the phone, also the card tray was out and I did a factory reset. Here starts the problem. When phone rebooted and I put the card again, nothing happens and card was not read by the phone. There was not a single error etc like card is damaged etc. It's just like phone doesn't give a damn either sd card is in or out. I checked sd card in another phone and also in Pc. It's been read by both means card is perfectly fine. Even I formatted the card from Pc but still in vain. Also no other card is being detected by the phone now. I just wanted to confirm is it a firmware or hardware problem?
BTW phone went on notifying me of new updates and now it's on b572. Plz help?

Yes its updated, its now on c185b572. Still problem is there. i am not able to find a solution so it means i can't save a trip to service center.
