Install HardSPL without ActiveSync

I have a couple of days used HTC HD2. It was uploaded on the seventh Windows Phone But I want to go back to Windows Phone 6.5. The bootloader second line looks like this: 'SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE. "Probably not detect ActiveSync HD2 with WP 7, because it is not official. on HD2. To go back to WM 6.5 or install HardSPL android is needed, which will not install the normal way, Bishop ActiveSync does not work in HR 7 on HD2. Is there another way to upload HardSPL on your phone. I think that the option of flashing LEOIMG.nbh microSD card drops out, because you can not change the rom, when there is no HardSPL.

put phone in bootloader
connect usb
wait for word 'serial' ---> 'USB'
run HSPL.exe

How do i downgrade spl 3.03 to 2.08?

Hello XDA.
as you can see iam new to the forum. and i have been trying some basic SD roms. and kinda found out that i realy liked the miui roms.
So i was about to try to install [ROM] HTC HD2 Leo MIUI.us Presents MIUI 1.7.15 Pure English [AOSP]
But then i noticed in the Unlocking HD2 step that my phone isnt unlocked and its also running spl 3.03.
So what i need help with is.
how do i downgrade to 2.08? (witch is needed in the next step) so i can continue the steps...
my phone is a european htc hd2 (norway) and is still running stock wm 6.5.
All help appreasiated.

No,bootloader is bootloader,magldr is magldr. Plenty of stickies hand holding you through all this,and countless hundreds single threads explaining it.

Mate. Can i do this same step for my T-Mobile UK HTC HD2. Sorry I am total noob. I got lost in Download HPSL 4 and ActiveSync.

forget activesync, ,
get hspl4 (see my sig)
put phone in bootloader
connect usb
when 'serial' becomes 'usb' run hspl4
choose desired target spl/hspl
go
done.

Yeah as Samsamuel said, ActiveSync is not really necessary it's just easier for most people to understand.
Before doing this I would recommend updating your ROM to the latest official stock ROM 3.14 (go to the settings and then software info to see this if my memory serves me correctly, haven't used WinMo in ages ) as this will have the latest radio and will save you from having to reflash it later.
Download HSPL4 package (just see samsamuel's link in his sig), turn the phone off then boot into bootloader by holding power and volume down buttons. Connect phone to PC via USB, run the HSPL installer, select HSPL 2.08 (make sure it's HSPL, not SPL, SPL 2.08 won't do any damage, but it won't help either ) and viola, it will be installed after a few seconds

1. Download any WM 6.5 ROM for your phone you like,
2. power off your phone,
3. power it on while holding vol-down button (you should see 4-colour "matress"),
4. connect hd2 with usb cable to your desktop PC, run WM6.5 flasher.
5. Done... ))

i do that but the flasher says this after it recognize the phone and start flashing it stops and says this error{226} the update utility cannot get response from your PDA phone. please check that your ubs craddle/cable is connected properly between the pc and your pda phone and also check your pda phone.
i tried several times and i cant, even with stock rom, the ics rom it have in it is nand anybody help

I flash my hd2 using energy rom dinik. with radio 2.12.50.02_2.
So far I have not encountered any bug like freezing of lcd.

Yeh I would recomend NRG wm6.5 roms too, best wm6.5.3 experience available & it works perfect.
Try flashing via sd & check you current HSPL & radio are suitable too ...

yeah im actually trying to flash a wm6 from NGR but then again this phone have nand android installed and when i try to flash the wm6 ruu the flasher stops at 0% and says that the phone its not connected, after it showed it did before i pressed next, do i need any kind of drivers?
i have ht drivers from my sensation are they the same? i am a total noob for this phone and i dont like the ics thats why i wanna go stock while i learn little by little how to do things with it.

Flash via SD card method is probably way to go but take care with radio versions if a TMOUS HD2 or you will brick it.
You could install ActiveSync if XP or WMDC6.1 for Vista/W7 as it has drivers.

you can do a factory reset which should fix the problem

My problem: I have an HTC hd2 with a white screen and the SPL 1.42.0000 (i can go to bootloader). I google it and can't find any solution, i tried to instal HSPL (with hspl2/3/4) without success (usb fail connection) i have the same error with an task29, and an hd2toolkit. I tried to instal from sdcard but i have the error "radio v2 fail".
I think this is a problem at height of XDA developers ^^
PS:I tried to change Computer or usb port and execute as administrator but nothing...
If you coul help me it will be realy nice.

is the phone recognized in device manager? If not its a driver problem.
also do the usual ( verify its not the usb cable, try different usb port,) if drivers are ok

The computer recognize the device but without OS (white screen) i can't do anythings with Activesync, i tried other computers and other usb port/cable but nothing. I think isn't a driver's problem because the instalation with sd card don't work.

Don't understand what you mean by "white screen"?
Try installing a stock winmo for you device to make sure everything is ok...

i tried to instal an official htc rom from sd card but it doesn't work, by "white screen" i just wanted to say that when i turn on my phone the screen is white.

It sounds like you have done a Task 29 and you do not have a ROM on your HD2 right now. This is why you just boot to the white screen.
You do npot have to use Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center to flash via RUU. You just have to have them installed because the haqve the USB drivers for the HD2's WINCE Bootloader in the programs and they install the drivers when you install the program.
The drivers in Active Sync and WMDC allow you to have a HTC Sync connection in the bootloader. Just boot into the bootloader by holding down the volume down button while powering on yuour HD2. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via USB cable. Wait and watch for the Serial in the white bar of the bootloader to change to USB. When you see USB you can run a RUU.
Now to address your 1.42.0000 SPL, this is a older SPL version and you may have to keep trying different RUUs until you get one that will flash. Just make sure if you have a T-Mobile HD2 that you do not flash any radio version below 2.08.50.?? or any radio version that has a 51 in the radio where the 50 is in the first radio I mentioned, or you will brick your T-Mobile HD2. Look for the radio version in the RUU name it will be there.
Sometimes the HD2 develops what is referred to as a "stuck radio" when they have these early SPL versions like yours. This is why I say you may just have to keep trying different RUUs until you find one that will flash.

Extract archive and run ROM update utility, follow all important steps (manual in readme file) and start flashing procedure. A progress bar will run through the screen during the update process. !!!Dont unplug or power off phone until finish!!!
After finish your phone restart back to ActiveSync and you will see new 1.28 SPL on your screen.
2. Now you must flash you phone with standard downgraded 1.28 SPL unlocked ROM, here is for Europe HTC.

I follow you guide installing "RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_5.11.401.01_SLSPL_Signed_by_ansar".
When it finished the phone reboot in normal boot, shut down and the SPL is 5.11 (before was 5.12)

I try to delete the "_1.28" from this file "RUU_signed.nbh_1.28" and works

Just found that this won't work for my phone because it was bought from Orange UK. Guessing this first ROM isn't compatible then.

in bootloader mode it change from "serial" to usb i ve installed Zune,SDK WP7,and windows 7 say all drivers are ok and when i starting RUU and start upgrading then show 0% Mozart restarts and it says error in RUU Error{226]: Flash write
Activesync? can't install it on windows 7;/ so only way is do it on windows xp?
cuz on mine 2nd cpu i got windows xp and activesync don't see mine mozart;/

I'm getting error 226 (Flash Write) when flashing the first rom, I tried any thing and google it but none are as same as my problem!
I have the Telestra Mozart, tried even the official branded rom but no result please help!

As hard as i try i can't flash anything on my trophy When boot into tricolor screen the "serial"doesn't appear on the lower part of the screen.An other friend suggest that i should use Goldcard as my phone is half-bricked.I find this solution exremely dificult!!Has any friend any other advice??
I desperatewly need to flash a 7.8 rom on my phone!!!

This method is only for device with cv401. If u are other CV u need a Y-Cable and flash rom in USB Host Mode
