[Q] screen "pops" out on left side - Eee Pad Transformer General

Hi there
Got my TF for 14 days ago. but yesterday I notised that my screen "pops" out on the left side.
You know that there is a hard black plastic edge around the screen there is about a mm high. On my left side the screen is poped out bout a ½mm out over the edge. hope you understand me. I havee taken a pic, hopes you can see what I means.
So my questions is: Have any of you experience the same, and should I fill in a RMA?

mine does the same. the other side is flush but the left side is out by a 1/2mm haha
wonder if its normal, doesnt bother me too much tbh

Just got mine Transform: VERY Small black dots from very specific angels... IS IT OK?

Hello Guys,
Pretty funny story. Few days ago i've ordered my ASUS transformer and today it has arrived.
OH well minutes after unboxed i noticed big dirty black smash inside the screen.
RIght away taken a ride of two hours to the store and replaced into brand new one.
REV B5 (Same as first one)....
Coming home I noticed from very random angles I can notice like VERY Small, slim black dots which can seen on blue/white etc.. background but not always seen...from specific random angles can be seen..
Is it normal for this screen type? Should I ask the support devision for lab service to fix/replace it? But then means I will need probably wait two weeks...
looking for your words
Thanks a lot!
It is a pattern grid like ###########? I see it faintly when my screen is smudged with hand grease or when I clean the screen and blow my breath on it.
Well besides the patter which i dont know why they did it this way lol i see some very small dots..try open blank white page...and look on the screen from front and random angles closely...see if you can find small dots...?
The faint ###### pattern is the capacitive touch sensing grid.
Those faint black dots are not supposed to be there. Check to make sure that your screen is completely clean, free of smudges. If the black dots are still apparent, then it can be either that you have dead pixels or some particles (maybe dust) trapped between the screen and the glass.
weird...its really extremely small dots...not always even seen..just some times from very specific angles...so think i will just pass it.
For safety emailed the ASUS distributor who in charge for the local warranty service to let him know i see those dots in case if in future i want support for this...
PS: TRY Some blue background and see if you able to see some sort of dots...not even black but dots...
I've thoroughly inspected my Transformer's screen several times since I got it, and I'm happy to say that I've never noticed anything bad besides a bit of light bleed on the bottom left. I'm sorry it's not the same case for you.
Well not big deal... Those dots not really seen in 99.5% of the time so really ok...
besides this dots i had some small creaks of the back plastic... but again this happens to almost every TF owner...
Anyways reported about this small dots to the warranty company of Asus in my country so they aware in case if i decide ask them fix it in future...also asked them for professional opinion about it..for case...
besides this small issues which not even seen most of the time...i am really happy with the TF rock and roll!

White on edges of screen

Hello all! So, lately my G2 has had the left edge of the screen exhibit this weird phenomenon where some pixels in the middle left are lighter than surrounding pixels. It's not noticeable at all in dark environments, but extremely noticeable in white areas. Also, it's been"growing," the original was only on the left side and small, by now (been a few months) it's gotten about twice as big and there's another smaller one on the right side. I was assuming the solution would be a screen replacement, as I've dropped this a few times honestly with no case (No cracks though.) And that's the only reason I can think of for this issue. I want to fix it myself, I'm confident in my abilities to since I'm good with hardware, I'd just like to double check that the screen actually is the problem before sinking cash into replacing it. Can anyone who had a similar issue confirm?

Yellowish tint at bottom part of the screen

Hi Guys,
So yesterday I've received my OP2, really satisfied with it. However I noticed that the bottom part of the screen is a bit yellowish.
I did a bit of research and it seems that OP1 users have had the same problem and it could be just glue that still needs to dry.
This also means that it would be gone in a week or two (or faster if exposed to sunlight/UV light some more).
Has anyone else noticed this?
My screen is perfectly white and even. Might want to contact the CS and see what's up?
On second thought.. I don't even notice it anymore... weird.. Maybe the viewing angle because when I noticed it yesterday I was lying sideways in bed.
Thankfully mine is yellow band free this time. It was the first thing I looked for after having it on my OPO, which despite all the success stories of UV rays solving it etc, it never went away.

Misaligned screen

So I have the edge since the 11th now. And every time I have the feeling that the screen is centered to the right side, I notice it extra with a case. As the area between the bezel and the screen is larger on the left side.
This afternoon I looked with an magnifying glass and indeed saw that this was indeed the situation. It is about 0.1 mm or so but oh so annoying. Luckily I can exchange it, however there will be only phones I stock around the 30th. Keeping mine thill then.
Are there others with the same issue?
The attached version is not my phone, but just an example to explain.
To better understand what i mean I attached a picture. I have the black version but you could see it as the black line on the right side of the phone is thinner than on de left, so the screen is essentially to far to the right..
not the best picture for judging...
But I know what you are talking, I have seen a few devices now and all of them were different in terms of screen quality and alignment!
for me, the worst problem is the uneven contrast (darker sides) on most of the screens. i own 3 devices now and all of them have display flaws. two suffer from a yellow tint when tilting, the other screen has a slightly darker left side... :|

I know. When my S6 comes back from warranty repairs I will try to make a picture. The S5 I have laying around can't focus clearly enough.
Well I hope I won't have a replacement with tint issues or such. Because my screen is, aside of the alignment, pretty perfect. Maybe I'm a bit nitpicky but I think that's justified with these kind of price tags.
I still have till the 30th to get used to it or exchange it. An order for a replacement has been made.
People complain about issues of screen color when tilting the device.. When are u ever tilting the device? U should be looking at it dead on anyways.
Honestly I don't see anything from ur picture, maybe ur just crazy.. If it is a little little misaligned who cares.. It's the curve part anyways..

The picture I used is just to explain what i mean with the black lines on my phone. Imagine that picture with no black line on the right of the phone, so the screen blends in with the white. And a bigger black line on the left.
That's what i have, but my phone is black so i cant put it on a picture to explain it.
I can really only tell in a dark room, but there is ever-so-slight light leakage where the glass meets the metal on the bottom of my S7 Edge. I see the slight leakage on the bottom-left and bottom-right. Doesn't bother me much, maybe a little, but my experience with smartphones is you'll be lucky to find one with absolutely flawless everything including screen alignment. It's often not worth exchanging for a new one, which may have other issues. Plus there's the whole issue of setting the phone up from scratch again. My device seems to be working fine (this is my 5th day with it) so far, so I won't be exchanging it.
After reading this thread I checked mine and its is misaligned like you described. I then went to Samsung and they checked and said that its normal. Now that I see it, its driving me crazy.

Same
Same **** with me. My screen is also misaligned and its driving me nuts with this phone price i dont know what to do about it. I have s7 edge btw same **** all over with the s6edge. I really didnt notice it when using the phone. I noticed it when im checking out the phone looking how pretty it is then when i turned on the screen i noticed that the left side of my screen has a thinner black bezel and when i look on the right it has a little bitty gap.

Nexus 10 off centered display?

I've had my Nexus 10 for a lot of time now, bringed it with me on the go.
Today I was noticing for the first time that the display is a little off centered, the left side has half a millimiter black and so along the top side, the right and the bottom it arrives to the edge.
Ever noticed something like this on yours?
Can it be that the display moved under the glass after an hit or pressure?
Really curious to know if only my model is like that.
Thank you!
