Hi Guys,
So yesterday I've received my OP2, really satisfied with it. However I noticed that the bottom part of the screen is a bit yellowish.
I did a bit of research and it seems that OP1 users have had the same problem and it could be just glue that still needs to dry.
This also means that it would be gone in a week or two (or faster if exposed to sunlight/UV light some more).
Has anyone else noticed this?
My screen is perfectly white and even. Might want to contact the CS and see what's up?
On second thought.. I don't even notice it anymore... weird.. Maybe the viewing angle because when I noticed it yesterday I was lying sideways in bed.
Thankfully mine is yellow band free this time. It was the first thing I looked for after having it on my OPO, which despite all the success stories of UV rays solving it etc, it never went away.

Sorry to start a new thread, I know there have been issues with a yellow tint on the screen of some LG N4's but I have a very localised patch of the screen that is yellow. It can be difficult to see, but hopefully the attached photos show it. (bottom of the screen towards the left hand side)
Everything is stock (but rooted) but the issue seems to be ROM independent. Its odd as the longer the screen is on the more prominent the area becomes - always in the same spot. Anyone seen this before?
Appreciate any tips if you've seen it and fixed it / other!
I had this on my last RMA, got really bad when the phone heated up. If you look at it under the right light, there is actually a bubble between the digitizer and glass causing it. Gave mine a month to "cure" as was recommended on here, but never went away. Just RMA it.

I've noticed some slight screen discoloration on my LG G2. The discoloration is about half way down on the left side of the screen. It's a very slight yellow crescent shape of discoloration. It looks similar to the discoloration my iPhone 4 experienced. Has anyone seen this issue with the G2 screens?
I contacted Verizon and they are overnighting me a warranty replacement. They also reached out to LG, who claimed this is not a known issue with the device. I just wanted to make you guys aware, as well as see if anyone else has experienced this. I'm not too familiar with LCD technology, what could be causing this discoloration?
Unfortunately I cannot post pictures because I am a new member, but I wish I was able to show you all what I'm talking about. It is VERY minor, however, I can still see it an it is bothersome to me. I figured I should have it replaced considering it's no charge to me and I don't want it spread... if that's even possible?
I'm starting to question whether or not I want to accept the most likely refurbished phone Verizon is sending me. It seems the yellow has faded slightly, although it becomes more present when the screen is on for longer periods of time. I guess I just have an irrational fear of getting refurbished electronics, like there's going to be something wrong with it or it'll develop problems down the line. I guess I should just take the refurbished phone and call it good enough, this way I don't keep looking for the yellow discoloration every time I use my phone... yea, I'm that neurotic about perfection.
Screen Discoloration
My LG G2 has a similar discoloration, orange in color, on the right edge near the top. I have a replacement on the way.
I don't have a screen protector or a case on my phone. No water/moisture exposure, no drops, no extreme temperatures, etc.
Any idea what might be the cause?
I've got the exact same problem I tried seeing if doing a normal restart of the phone would help which hasn't and it doesn't appear in screenshots and it's also happened recently about 1/2 way down
I'm on my third G2 (in 9 months) with this problem. Few of the staff in the Verizon stores have ever seen or heard of this problem.
I'm probably going to change to a different phone.
Hello all! So, lately my G2 has had the left edge of the screen exhibit this weird phenomenon where some pixels in the middle left are lighter than surrounding pixels. It's not noticeable at all in dark environments, but extremely noticeable in white areas. Also, it's been"growing," the original was only on the left side and small, by now (been a few months) it's gotten about twice as big and there's another smaller one on the right side. I was assuming the solution would be a screen replacement, as I've dropped this a few times honestly with no case (No cracks though.) And that's the only reason I can think of for this issue. I want to fix it myself, I'm confident in my abilities to since I'm good with hardware, I'd just like to double check that the screen actually is the problem before sinking cash into replacing it. Can anyone who had a similar issue confirm?
Hey guys,
Yesterday night before i went to bed, three blue spots appeared on the screen.
The degree if their appearance depend on the content shown on the screen -
*if viewing bright white light (such as an artical with white background) the spots are nearly invisible
*when darker colors are shown, for example when i pull the statues bar down - the spots are visible and annoying.
*when the screen is completly dark, the blue spots are highly visible

I've never dropped\hit\damaged my phone in any way, i had the case\glass a few days before i even had my phone, and yesterday night those three spots just appeared out of no where - what should i do?
Images not working. I haven't got or seen blue dots on screen before. I would suggest contacting Motorola.

get intouch with Motorola , thats a fault
Does anyone know why this happens? I just happened to me after more than six months of peace.
It's happening to a lot of people. Same with me, and the spots on mine were in the center near the bottom of the display.
Happened to me randomly one month after i got the phone. Had to get replacement from moto. Haven't had problems with new. Been about 8 months. Fingers crossed.
My wife and I each have the same phone her's has had the same blue dot for a month or 2 now: http://i.imgur.com/90U6BMR.jpg
Mine just developed a small white dot in the upper right corner of the screen.
ugh.
I believe these are from pressure against the back of the LCD. After I replaced my screen due to cracks I noticed that I had to play with all 20 screws a lot becasue if even one was too tight it would make a spot on the screen and I had to keep adjusting all the screws slightly, it was like putting a head on an car engine, slightly too tight on one screw would often cause inperceptable torque on the LCD and then a spot would appear above a different screw. Took a lot of adjustment and its still not perfect. From the pictures I'm seeing of the large blue spots and their locations, I'm susupicious something got jarred between the LCD and MB which is very sensitive as I said almoast imperceptable screw torques are enough to cause very similar artifacts (though they could also be just causing some kind of ground issue also, they are dead white with light blue around them, very small becasue the screws are small, and also very particularly pronounced.
So WILD guess is three things:
1 something not sharp or pointed moved somehow and is causing pressure on the back of the lcd directly below the blue spots.maybe those 2 rubber boots that cover two connections (you see them immediately and must remove both when doing anything to the phone after the glued on back is off.
2 LCD Failure
Probably 2 but if you are capable and adventurous check 1. Or ship it if still under warrnaty. Anyone know how long is the warranty? If you buy off of MOTO like I did?
I must be the special one. I have a red dot on mine.
I noticed a vague blue spot in my moto g 2015 today as well. When i press it lightly, the center of the spot turns to a small sharp bright white dot.
I aggree it must be caused by internal pressure. I had the same sort of spot on my HTC Desire. When i replaced the battery, the spot was gone. Turns out a drained/old Li-ion cell expands quite a bit, this caused the pressure from the inside on the screen.
My Moto G is only 6 months old so you wouldn't expect the battery to be faulty yet... Too bad the Moto G doesn't let you replace the battery yourself in an easy way like with my old HTC.
Did anyone experience the spot disappearing after replacing the battery with a fresh one? And does anyone know if old Moto G batteries look thicker than normal after they die?
I just started seeing this about a month ago, mine looks like the Pepsi logo, red and blue orb.
So I have the edge since the 11th now. And every time I have the feeling that the screen is centered to the right side, I notice it extra with a case. As the area between the bezel and the screen is larger on the left side.
This afternoon I looked with an magnifying glass and indeed saw that this was indeed the situation. It is about 0.1 mm or so but oh so annoying. Luckily I can exchange it, however there will be only phones I stock around the 30th. Keeping mine thill then.
Are there others with the same issue?
The attached version is not my phone, but just an example to explain.
To better understand what i mean I attached a picture. I have the black version but you could see it as the black line on the right side of the phone is thinner than on de left, so the screen is essentially to far to the right..
not the best picture for judging...
But I know what you are talking, I have seen a few devices now and all of them were different in terms of screen quality and alignment!
for me, the worst problem is the uneven contrast (darker sides) on most of the screens. i own 3 devices now and all of them have display flaws. two suffer from a yellow tint when tilting, the other screen has a slightly darker left side... :|

I know. When my S6 comes back from warranty repairs I will try to make a picture. The S5 I have laying around can't focus clearly enough.
Well I hope I won't have a replacement with tint issues or such. Because my screen is, aside of the alignment, pretty perfect. Maybe I'm a bit nitpicky but I think that's justified with these kind of price tags.
I still have till the 30th to get used to it or exchange it. An order for a replacement has been made.
People complain about issues of screen color when tilting the device.. When are u ever tilting the device? U should be looking at it dead on anyways.
Honestly I don't see anything from ur picture, maybe ur just crazy.. If it is a little little misaligned who cares.. It's the curve part anyways..

The picture I used is just to explain what i mean with the black lines on my phone. Imagine that picture with no black line on the right of the phone, so the screen blends in with the white. And a bigger black line on the left.
That's what i have, but my phone is black so i cant put it on a picture to explain it.
I can really only tell in a dark room, but there is ever-so-slight light leakage where the glass meets the metal on the bottom of my S7 Edge. I see the slight leakage on the bottom-left and bottom-right. Doesn't bother me much, maybe a little, but my experience with smartphones is you'll be lucky to find one with absolutely flawless everything including screen alignment. It's often not worth exchanging for a new one, which may have other issues. Plus there's the whole issue of setting the phone up from scratch again. My device seems to be working fine (this is my 5th day with it) so far, so I won't be exchanging it.
After reading this thread I checked mine and its is misaligned like you described. I then went to Samsung and they checked and said that its normal. Now that I see it, its driving me crazy.

Same
Same **** with me. My screen is also misaligned and its driving me nuts with this phone price i dont know what to do about it. I have s7 edge btw same **** all over with the s6edge. I really didnt notice it when using the phone. I noticed it when im checking out the phone looking how pretty it is then when i turned on the screen i noticed that the left side of my screen has a thinner black bezel and when i look on the right it has a little bitty gap.
