I installed Mdeejay FroYo Sense Matted v. 1.4 the other day on my HD2 and it worked well
However 4 - 5 hours later I noticed my fone automatically restarted, why is that? My battery was at 80% so I thought nothing of it until 4 - 5 hours later when it happened again
Any ideas whats going on? and more importantly how I resolve it?
Thanks
P.S. I have posted twice in the development forum but have received no help
this usually happens when you are overclocked/undervolted and the phone cant handle it. First try disabling overclock and if the issue persists change to a non undervolted kernel.
btw you shouldnt be posting problems in the development section, just a heads up

As far as I am aware I have never enabled overclock, where in the phone do I check to ascertain whether its enabled or disabled?

I never would have done so, but have waited 3 days, posted twice in the ROM section and failed to received any replies - thanks for your response and time
you can check weather your overclocked or not with setcpu here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419 and youre probably undervolted because your using the mdeejay kernel included in his roms (correct me if im wrong). Try a kernel from the autobuild here: http://oe.netripper.com/files/htcleo_autobuild_evo_tree/ they are not undervolted or overclocked.

sure you can, just read threads that Devs post here, then you can choose one of them. first step you have to upgrade to 2.1, root, make sure you have the latest baseband and kernel version. all the step by step tutorial you can find it here. thats all i've done
EDIT : you have donut 2.2.1 version?
i guess i have 2.1 version,sorry i got confused
Donut is the 1.6 version. If you have 2.1 it's Eclair And yes, you can install whichever ROM you wish. The most stable and fully-working would be miniCM 2.2.1, but you might as well flash some of 2.3 ROMs available - check them out, you don't loose anything. Just be sure to have baseband ending with "015", otherwise some features won't work.

First u need to root ur phone and have xrecovery install..xrecovery required in order flash other rom as well as backing up all ur data..search in x8 dir..u will find superoneclick (for root), and xrecovery installer and last is go to android development thread and choose which rom u want..there is 2.2,2.3.2, and 2.3.3 rom..name mini-cm,and many others by racht,jerpelea..search in our x8 dir..u will find everything trust me.
I'm currently using 2.2 MiniCM, and is working perfectly on my X8. Recommended.

It lags in games ten times more than 2.1,not recommend use 2.1 until custom kernels will be succefull loaded to our phones then there will be 2.3.3 with everything working even wi-fi tethering.

you have expert (as-mario) advise here so better stick to 2.1 until dev successfully have fully working kernel.
I'm currently using rachts CM7RC4 but what's the different between rachts and jerqelas?
I'm looking for the fastest ROM and I would like to have a high quadrant score
I'm currently lying around 650-750 with CPU at 710 Mhz
So which one is the fastest android for our X8 using 2.3.3 or is 2.2 faster?
well my has 44,2 FPS in neocore, and that is damn alot.
Hi Guys,Please tell me a fast and stable version Froyo please.

I've tried it and it's really fast, but the phone tends to restart very often. Do you have any idea why or what I can do that might solve this problem?
I had SpicagenMod beta3 with yonip #45 - it's my best opinion.

sorry for the late reply, I rarely go in spica's thread since I have not used my spica anymore..
Hmm..have you done a CLEAN INSTALL? Meaning, wipe data/cache, format SD card before installing?
Froyo has touchscreen delay. i recommend gb or ics. im using ics and it's not bad.

No because sauron did code complete fresh for urukdroid 1.5 , thats why it called 1.5
I think sibere just work at his new kernel, when he have enough time
We should remember that all devs dont get paid and they do this as their hobbys like me(not as a dev)

hey guys,
dont wanna backstab u - but most of the worrk already is in the stick thread I created some weeks ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198389
I just didnt include outdated versions as those wount be very useful though (like 1.1b2),...
Anyway they still could be found here wich is also linked in my thread.
All i dont have in my thread for now is the different kernels (like sibere,.. v10,11,12,13) but I already was thinking about how to include this best
@ Lenn do u really think its useful "choosing" between em.
As far as i know (k I don't know much ) there is no reason to stick with an old urukdroid version at all (beside the dvb & cinemaplugin function are not yet inculed in 1.5 in a final stage)
@LeoNg628 perhaps u should rename it from [source] to [download] as i expected to fine the sources (source code) here
greetings

Oh yes^^
Many new users cant use the update function, so they had have to install via the easyinstall method..
So they had to use Uruk1.0, but the RC1 of 1.5 is out, so they can use the newest version
I told around 10 peoples how to update from 1.0 to b2 or b3 of 1.5...

so it more like and "update howto" not and choosing of an old version like 1.1b2 - kk
Also wanted to give some hints for mutliboot - but i didn't try the alternativeOS option on my own yet sinc ei had no time for
Y - already thought about creating another thread in dev secion for an "howto urukdroid" - but i didn't do it yet since it's very unconfortable using such thing in a "thread". already thought about asking sauron for wiki permissions so we could creat such a thing there.
Anyway it shouldn't be that hard for ppl to read the last 3 pages of a thread and be up-to-date to know how to use a version - or starting from the download post where sauron posted the last version.
If they don't do things like here happen more often eventualy (dont take it serious ). DEV versions shouldn't be for lazy ppl tho? Well im not sure how 2 handle this atm.
But i still think a wiki like thing would be nice.

Some questions about that I could not get an answer from $auron:
Can we use UrukDroid-1.5-kernelOC.tbz2 14-Aug-2011 18:32 5.2M after having installed UrukDroid_1.5-Install.rar 15-Aug-2011 22:53 147M?
I have doubt because the final 1.5 package is of later date. So is the kernel in the install package not newer than the OC package? Do I miss anything the final kernel in the package has if I install the older OC kernel??
Secondly, how does this $auron OC kernel compare to Sibere's OC kernel? Does $auron only do OC, no undervolting and no other tweaks?
Lastly... if the answers are positive... How do I install OC kernel on top of UD 1.5 exactly?
Thanks!!
hi guys, i'm currently using NexusHD2 JellyBean rom. it can be overclocked up to 1.2ghz, but i saw on internet that with CM7 hd2 can be overclocked up to 1.5... i would overclock NexusHD2 JellyBean CM10.1 to 1.5ghz.. but i don't know how to... sorry for bad english
You need a kernel that supports overclocking to such frequency. I didn't overclock my HD2, and most times I used the kernel that came with the ROM and didn't bother to change.
Use the sticky in the NAND development section to look through kernels, and flash the one that has overclocking and works on your ROM.
Edit:
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322639 I think this should work for you, follow the instructions and, as always, make a back up. (Though if something ever happens, you'd just have to flash the stock kernel back but I'm telling you to back up to disclaim myself anything should happen to your device.)

should I keep jelly beans on 1.2ghz, or should I install ICS on 1.6ghz?
I can't really tell you, because it depends solely on you.
Why not try both? You've tried JB on 1.2, backup and flash ICS with 1.6 and use it for a few days. See which one works best and use it. Good luck.

well, in jellybean or ics, i think overclocking more than 1.2 ghz is very risky. rom developers remove this option aswell as kernel developers, because in those builds it may brick your phone

@Marvlesz well, i'm not sure about what i said
but after gb, i've never seen an ics+ (or jb) build that has overclocking more than 1.2 ghz. gb used to have 1.6ghz AFAIR, but newer build are all 1.2 ghz and maximum. maybe it's related to HWA or such stuff
