Even thought I'm an android user I've had a Zune HD for a while and love the Metro UI. This seems like a good price, should I go for it?
Well I got mine for £179.99 via the dell website as a swarm so it's really your choice. But I would wait for the lower price
why not get the 16bg version from dell for $299 (or $199 if you buy something over $700)

It was on sale here in Germany for 200€ a few weeks ago. Yesterday it was on sale for 175€. Pretty awesome if you ask me. Maybe someone will port Android now.

feh some one should port wp7 to the normal venue. I don't need to stink'n keyboard
The keyboard was the number one reason I got a DVP. Otherwise why not just get a Focus or HD7?

Me too. I use the hardware keyboard all the time, unless I'm just typing a word or two. Very good keyboard in my opinion.

3G works on either one or the other... you have to choose when ordering. There is no such thing as a DVP that has 3G on both AT&T and T-Mobile.
The T-Mo version is a better bet for world-wide use because it has not only 2100 but 900 support. The AT&T one has only 2100 for non-US use.

Considering how long ago the HD was launched I can't imagine that it will sell for top dollar.
the highest offer i got on my HD that i recently put on ebay was 475 plus 20 shipping. I relisted because i want at least 500 for it.
I sold mine is feb for $690 on ebay and bought an iphone. You will get enough for an iphone for sure (at contract price).
Will buy the new iPhone 3GS regardless of whether I get good price for my HD or not. Will also keep my iPhone 3G 16GB for my family. Everyone of them wants me to pass to them.

You shouldn't have a problem selling it for at least £350... I was monitoring the HTC HD up till 2 weeks ago (I got mine last week, finally got it under contract from O2) coz I was thinking of getting one without contract..
All the phones were going for above £300, even the ones where it's been 'used' for a week or a month...

lol, I've used the iPhone 3G for some months and now I'm back to the Touch HD and probably won't get an iPhone again (at least I definitely won't get the 3GS, I'm waiting for the Samsung i8000 or the Acer F1).
The iPhone is still way too limited. At least it's got copy&paste and voice control now but the camera still sucks, it still can't download things from the internet, the display resolution is still bad and lots of other things that were disturbing me.
Unlike the iPhone, my Touch HD does everything I want (except for good pictures in low light) and there's no situation where it lets me down because Windows Mobile is limitless.

Why? WE have no idea how ram is used or affected on Windows Phone 7. It meets the minimum requirement and as shown on youtube, it seems to be quite zippy!!!

At £440 the Venue Pro is a bloody good price. Considering the size of the AMOLED screen at 4.1" and portait QWERTY. I have a HD2 but longed for a hardware keyboard - the Venue Pro is just what I need!

it does have 576mb of ram. in fact all wp7 phones released with 512mb of ram have 576mb but only HTC lists it. 64mb is on the graphics chip.

The Samsung Focus has the minimum 256mb. So double the minimum is good enough for me. I just wish all the phones looked as good as this one.

Looking on there site with the verified freq Hell i dont know anymore. I am just coming to tmobile for this phone as of today from At&t. I knew there bands cold. May end up cancelling my order and just waiting
UK dell veneu bands are 900/2100 ..doesnt work here in usa...period.. i know by experience when i bought my desire...need to be 1700..pretty much made for tmo usa...

do you guys know if there is a front facing cam on the venue or any other wp7 device?
So im from Trinidad and Tobago and a local independent phone store has the DVP available for 2200 TTD, roughly (2200/6.45) 341 USD.
Here is the situation, its the TMobile Phone that they unlocked and to make matters worse it the 8gb version -_-
1. So first, can i get the update to mango even if im not on the TMobile network.
2. Secondly if i get the 8gb im gonna want to upgrade it and if i do so, im going all or nothing 32gbs bbe How easy is it to upgrade the Micro SD Card and can anyone do a youtube tutorial video?
Any insights/asnweres (preferably answers) would be greatly appreciated. Keep on doing the do pplz

Save your money, the dvp would have been great, but dell fkd up in so many ways. Just read the threads and you will see.
most of the issues have been fixed by now with firmware updates and mango. Also currently dell only sells the dvp with a 16gb (which is perfect size for 99% of people) unlocked so no need to worry about carrier issues and 16gb is great too.
Only thing you need to ask yourself now is the size to big for you?

LMAO good lucky with $275. do you mean canadian money? in the US hd2's are only worth $150-$165 now. it's a great phone and despite the excellent condition it may come in, it's an old phone, and it's getting closer and closer to becoming obsolete with every new phone that comes out.

Hello guys, as title says, if I were to obtained a unlocked Z2, would it have full functionality in USA such as 4G/LTE? I looked a the radio bands listed in their specs and compared it to what AT&T uses, I noticed there were some but not all bands that matched. I would appreciate any help, thank you!

Thank you so much for that information, I've been talking to AT&T rep trying to figure this out, but seems like all the bands AT&T uses for 3G/4G/LTE is listed in D6503 specs.
Do you have any issues using it in the States, or does it everything function as it should? I would truly appreciate your help, thank you.

Only place I know for a fact you can order it and get it to US soon is using Ebay and buying it off Taiwanese seller. Looks like it's selling for about $900 right now...

i had a friend got it from taiwan and shipped it to me, cost about $800
comes with a headphone MDR-NC31E headphone that does noise cancellation (works pretty well), and a dock.

reception?
I have been trying to find info on how good the reception on the phone is.. My s4 has **** reception. the htc one I have has much better reception when im at work. I am hovering over a "Buy it Now" button on ebay and want to find out if it has good reception. Also, how is the stock messaging app? I hate using third party ones, they usually have quirks, but again, cant find any info on what the email or messaging apps look like at all.
You should try Textra. It is the best sms app I have used on Android.

I ordered mine from eBay. Should have it by next Friday. Will have a huge review of it the following week (or sooner) coving all the pros, and the few cons. I cant wait for it to arrive. One awesome thing I noticed was that the dock had the insert that comes out to fit your phone into it while still in the case!!!! Genius! I will be buying a couple extra docks I think.

Would you be able to check out wifi range also? compared to other phones? I have an XZ, and have never been happy with the wifi (so much worse than my old iponw 3gs).
I ordered mine from a random Taiwanese seller on ebay. I went for whichever is the cheapest. But i do see some that includes the charging dock. I guess you just have to read the description of each auction to see what they come with

What's the usual deal with Sony warranties on the unlocked/international version? Could you still get the phone serviced at a Sony center or replaced by calling in an issue if you needed to?
I've never bought an international/unlocked/SIM free type phone before but if Sony fails to bring it to the USA carriers I'm interested in I see no other choice.
