Just bought my first nexus one tonight for 200 and I have to say this is the most amazing phone I have ever used. I am coming from a dream and this thing leaves it in the dust big time. Can't wait to root it! Sorry you guys can imagine how happy I am

I upgraded 2 weeks ago also from a g1. Debated back and forth over a sgs or the n1 for a long time. My only regret is not buying both docks
Yeah where did you buy it so cheap, even if it is a refurbished or used unit?

I still love my nexus like the first day I bought it by far the best phone!
Why'd you pay so much, I only paid $150 for mine... with a dock. LOL

Awesome, I got mine from Craigslist too... guy was asking $500; I offered him a brand new (still in the package) 16gb iPhone 3GS for it and he accepted. I went to the AT&T store, renewed my contract, paid $199 for the iPhone and he met me in the parking lot to swap.
A few days later AT&T announced that they were dropping the price of the 3GS and offered everyone a price match credit, I went to the store and claimed my $50 credit, thus making my N1 cost $149 + 2yr contract...
Sweet! Thats a good deal
I had a in package 3gs one time but it was running ios 4 already so no jail breaking but i sold that sucker to buy 2 g1's and $300 cash in my pocket.
I use Simple mobile which is an MVNO of t mobile. $60 no contract gives me unlimited talk, text, web, mms and it supports 3g . The N1 flies on the network
I really don't mind the contract... I have 5 lines and have been with AT&T for over 6 years... another 2 won't hurt.

I've been looking for an AT&T Nexus One for weeks now. Is there anywhere to buy them brand new in box other than ebay?
craigslist
Ebay and Craigslist... good luck
Google discontinued the at&t model nexus one, the only place to officially purchase it was through the Google web store which was taken down at the same time. Because of this the at&t nexus one is going to be extremely difficult to get, let alone brand new as there are no official channels for it.
So there are no places that any of you know of that will have any left in stock?

I think it was mentioned above, but no other place stocked them other than Google itself. Since you can't get it from them anymore the only place you might get one that is unopened is if someone bought a bunch of them and is selling them on Ebay or Craigslist. However, you can get a used one in pretty much pristine condition for around 325 dollars now days.
Do what I did, But a Tmobile Nexus, Call HTC, say youre switching to ATT and would like to switch phones. You send them the TMO nexus, and they will send you an ATT nexus. And my tmo nexus was all mesed up to, lots of nicks and blemishes, and i got a PRISTINE condition ATT nexus.
I'll sell you mine. Used for about 1 week now, no scratches. Interested? Give me an offer!

Wow, I had no idea HTC did that, wish I had known that a month ago. Oh well I managed to pick up an ATT Nexus One today for $220. It's pretty beat up but I plan on fixing it myself. Everyone ATT Nexus one I've seen on eBay goes for $400 plus...
I'm selling two, both in near perfect condition, AMOLED screens, unless HTC will swap them out for T-Mobile versions also. I just switched back to pink jesus yesterday myself.
Theres no way i would sell my n1, not only is it still top notch an perfect for root users but it becoming a collectors item
I picked up my ATT Nexus One a week ago on Craigslist. I got it from a guy who worked as an intern at Google, but didn't want to keep the phone. He just got around to selling it last week. I paid $410.
You can visit this page http://developer.android.com/index.html, register as a dev developer and pay the fee, then you can buy a new one from google directly...I think it cost about US$530

Phone itself is $530 and there's a $30 registration fee if you're not already a developer. That, and you're almost sure to get a Nexus with an SLCD screen instead of AMOLED, unfortunately.

I have one phone that is unlocked for both carriers.
Hey all,
So I have been a proud owner of a Vibrant for half a year now. Bought mine from T-mobile stores a week after launch offcontract for $500 and have been really happy with it. On 2.2 Nero V2 now.
Anyway, a family member wants the same phone now since they've tinkered with mine and love it. Where can I find a brand new Vibrant off contract the cheapest?
I'm assuming after half a year, the phone should be cheaper than the $500 I bought it new but I'm not finding any place really which has it cheaper than that. Anyone can help?
Last time I looked I saw some on ebay for around the ~$300 range. So you should be able to find some there around that price. Maybe even some cheaper if you don't care if they are used / refurbs.

Well I do. I prefer a boxed one.
Double post.
You can still find boxed ones for around the 300 range just take a look. I saw some in the lower 300's like 325 or so.
Where... would that be?
purchased my vibrant for about $160 with box and all off craigslist. Rooted it and unlocked it for my carrier
just bought one off Craigslist..... (hopefully you are near a metro area) 260.00
Typically here in n.cal 250 is the low side and anything above 285 you can get all day every day......
I bought mine off ebay $250 with free shipping. Granted I checked everyday for half a month for it.
Had to root and unlock it myself though.

Yup. Got mine off craigslist for
$225 cash. Craigslist has always been the best for me. Some people are even willing to trade stuff for you goods!!!
Cheapest vibrant
Got mine on wirefly.com new contract $49.99 but u have to check their site for the best deal one week can be $49.99 next 99.99 . Just have to get lucky
Ok so here is whats going on..
I live in Toronto and is using mobilicity(same frequency as T-mobile)
I currently have the mytouch 3g slide, i got it off the flee market.
I loved the phone so much and i have been reading about the mytouch 4g that i want to upgrade.
Now my question is where is the cheapest place to get a Brand New mytouch 4g unlocked?
I know T-mobile sometimes unlocks their phones for free but my question with them is that on their site i cant get the phone without a contract.
I am willing to drive to buffalo to an actual T-mobile store but what is their price on the phone with no contract?
Thanks in advance
Well that depends if you want new then I recommend buying from TMobile as you will have remorse and warranty without contract for 450+tax total 480 or so. Using website you can't order it as you have to call it in and order it via phone or go in to the local store. Now if you want to buy new or mint like conditions for cheaper price then try Craigslist or eBay which is selling for $350-400. You have higher chance of getting washed out display which you will have issues now if you don't care about it then just buy it. Far as unlocking goes you can do radio s=off yourself and sim unlock it.
I got mine on craigslist 290

Best phone yet hands down.
Well 350 is the avg price but the thing is what will you do when you get bad display?
Thanks a lot guys for clearing that up a bit for me.
I think i might go with buying a brand new one,
I'm the kind of guy who likes to have things from the start and since i don't see myself getting another phone for a while i think it will be better off to get it new
Cl for $250 new from a tmobile rep, was unopened when I purchased it. May try a costco or sams, im looking into a two year contract and can get another mytouch 4g, or g2 for 99
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I've had a couple of chances to buy them off CL in barely used condition for $250ish, but average price seems to be about $300.
Ive looked in Craiglist around my area and the cheapest I've found was 400, i dont want to order from ebay because my visa is currently over due
for 400 i think id rather just buy it from T-mobile.
But once again thanks for tips and your thoughts

Shop more carefully. Post a WANT AD instead and you'll get lower prices. Worked for me. But then again I live in the SF Bay Area where CL was born, so there's a lot of action.
Check this one out - this one is within driving distance of me.

The best thing I like about CL is the false advertisement to lure folks in each threads by the seller. How they claim its new then when you go inside you see its used lol it can't be new (NIB) but its used morons. Don't waste your time with CL with 1st batch still out in large go pay the full price if money is not object for you or get it via EIP though tmobile I am guessing they have like 30-35 smaller payments.
Now I wouldn't mind buying it of CL year later but not even at that price as most idiots do want 350 for device that should be 150 due to time but they want the price they bought it for lol you have to love people who has 0 to no experience in sale department.

If you do your due diligence as a buyer and inspect the product it's fine. Just like buying a used car.
I bought a mt3g on CL for $200 and sold it on CL 9 months later with accessories for $200. Then a couple weeks later I picked up my gf's Captivate for $200 and in a year I'll probably sell it for $250.
I'm a perfectly straightforward and honest buyer and seller. Post a want ad to buy then post a sale ad to sell. This isn't rocket science.

I'm curious, seeing as though you paid $600 + tax, how long do you plan to keep it? Obviously the Moto X should stay current with android for some time...

I walked into AT&T ready to pay full price but somehow managed to walk away only paying on contract price even though I wasn't eligible for an upgrade. That said, had I actually paid full price, I would still love it just as much and would still be extremely happy with my purchase. I paid full price for both my HTC One and my GS4 Active and this thing blows both of those devices out of the water. As for how long I'll keep it, that depends on what's coming down the pipeline. I switch phones VERY often. I can definitely see myself sticking with this phone longer than I did the One or the GS4 Active though. It is quite the upgrade from the Galaxy Nexus, that's for sure. The GNex isn't in the same league as the Moto X.
You must be making the big bucks to be able to off-contract phones new all the time.
I bought my GalNex for $350 new on eBay about a year ago... I was hoping to get more use out of it, but at the same time I'm not disappointed I "have no choice" but to buy a new phone
That's some luck to pay the upgrade price, I doubt Verizon has overlooked any loopholes there...

I had a gnex myself, on Verizon and paid full retail for the Moto X and I'm not regretting it one bit.. this phone blows the gnex out of the water in almost every way. The only thing I miss is the unlocked boot loader. Do yourself a favor and get it, its worth it!
$677.98 after tax, zero regrets. Was cheaper then my $932 iPhone 5

I make a decent living but I also use craigslist to my full advantage. I was able to sell my HTC One for $500, and my year old iPhone 5 just sold for $500 as well.
Yeah, I don't know how I got it for that price, but I chalk it up to the ineptitude of the 4 representatives at the AT&T store that took over an hour to figure out how to sell me the Moto Maker card. Something happened when they were making the sale that caused me to lose LTE on all my devices for a few days, and I got an upgrade when there wasn't one. Now the LTE is back on, and I got the phone for less than half of what I was expecting to pay. Sometimes their stupidity can work to our advantage
I would definitely pull the trigger man, you will NOT be disappointed. I feel that the Moto X is the perfect marriage of hardware and software, just like the iPhone is. You have never seen Android run this smoothly before. It is the best possible representation of what an Android phone can be nowadays. Or any smart phone for that matter. I've been through A LOT of phones (including the GNex), so I feel I am qualified to make a statement like that
