[Q] Battery life in CM7 by Endless7 - Milestone 2 General

First of all thank you for the fabulous job
I installed the latest version RC1.5, I still have the issue, my phone charges to 4160 mV and 3400 mV reached 0%!
Is it possible to recover the battd libbat.so and the original version of Motorola? If this solves the problem it does not disturb me not to keep 10% steps!
thank you

You may replace CM7 files with the files from original stock FW, no problem. I am still using battd from stock UK. But unfortunately there seems to be no great difference, the voltage does not change much.
You can make your own experiments, in the CM7 thread you can find several files for battery, from new leak, stock firmware, ms1 CM7 and so on.

I keep the originals files but i tried This
it seems better

Mine works perfectly.....Battery status is not bad

I root and rom my mobile. How i can go back to stock company rom defy+ .""?

Helo guys. I tri to go to stock rom 2.3.4 but it's not like rom install
How can help me . Thanks
Yeah guys i have defy plus. And install defy miui rom not plus
Then i notice the battery not charge more 85%. Any thing shall to do
for the CM7.2 nigtlies there is a battery fix you can find in many threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21720280&postcount=46
If you read that whole thread, on page 2 there is a reference that same fix is for MIUI also to replace the battd file.
But you really should use the search function and probably find the battery fix in an official [ROM] MIUI thread !
for 2.3.4 "stock rom" you have to be VERY CAREFUL and study/learn to flash SBF.
WARNING: if not careful flashing correct SBF version you can lose downgrade option.

Simply install the Batt_Fix.zip attached in that post like a normal rom (CWM Recovery -> install zip from sdcard):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21834834&postcount=54
Or replace the battd manually.
After that you should charge the Defy+ to 100% and wipe your battery stats after that (CWM recovery -> advanced -> wipe battery stats).
Then you can charge the phone up to 100%

[Q] battery fix on defy+ cm9

My battery cant charge after flashing Quarx's CM9 20120505Defy+ nightly, I tried every fix online and could'nt fix it, I have MB525 Red Lens with Defy+ battery. Can Anyone Provide A fix that's working.
I had a thread on this and found my own solution!! 2 people have tried it plus myself and it works!! One was on ICS like me and another on MIUI so it seems it works.
here is the link to the thread right down the bottom of the page is a attachment with the files and instructions how to use it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625504.
Please report back here and in that thread if it works. If it works for alot of people then I could do a how to up on it.
Cheers
Don't work
Now Charging from 75%
As I say please let me know the results in both threads sounds promising so far!
Don't work
Stopped at 80% (i complied my own fix out of walter79's kernel Testing...)
oh ok. Seems these phones are strange some fixes work on some of them and not on others. I tried a few fixes people said worked but none worked for me. Temperamental phones they are! but as long as you found a fix. I tired about 10 different ones before that one worked and the other people said they worked fine on there defy + and it didnt work on mine.
I see you have a defy MB525 red lens(didnt see that in the first post till now), maybe this might be why? not sure how these files work but they seem to all be slightly different in some way.
Motorola you *****es!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tried To Flash Defy+ sbf on RSD lite, Now my phone is at customer care since the sbf's i tried started bootloping and others got my stuck on bootloader mode, im leaving motorola for good, if my BL was unlocked a working would have been found
yeah thats the only downfall with the defy. You can still get it working but you will be limited to what roms you can use depending what you have flashed threw RSD lite.
I thought my phone was gone but after flashing like 10 SBF files I got one that worked and make sure I dont go any higher (although not possible ATM as it is the highest) I know if a ROM does not work I can alway flash to that SBF file and it works every time its a matter of finding that one.
A unlocked bootloader would be so much easier. I am not to sure what that is but if you can downgrade from higher versions then thats what I want, instead of being stuck on 2.3.6 231
If you had a defy red lense with a defy+ battery u wouldnt need any fix with defy+ roms.
The fix is used to tell the rom that the battery is of lesser capacity than the rom is made for.
ie the rom is for defy+(1700mAh) and the battery is defy(1500mAh)
with a 1700 mAh battery a defy is same as defy+.

[Q] Best battery ROM with no wifi bugs for Defy?

Hi. I have used MS2Ginger for some time and loved it's battery backup but it had wifi issues. I then switched to CM7.1 and it's working great but I feel tied to my charger now. Can someone please suggest a ROM which has battery comparable to MS2Ginger but has no wifi issues?
Thanks!!
Hello Dude!
Well, this one, White Rabbit 1.5.2 is very good. In my case, the batery can make 4 days with basic use and 2 or 3 with wifi and other things. You know, 3g drain the batery, but with wifi you can use a lot.
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510063
Good luck!
Sorry for bad english
If you want more juice, you could try 4.5.1-134_DFP-231 with the 4.5.3-109 kernel (for deep sleep, bl<6 only) from Walter's thread. It's a quite new stock ROM (Jan 2012) from moto. As for WIFI, I don't have anything to mention, but the official changelog states "improved stability of wifi connection".
Remember to flash Walter's MOD of the ROM, as it is even better (unfortunately no ultra-bright buttons fix )

Hi. I had the Defy+ rom of Walter79 with the 4.5.3-109_DFP-11 kernel. It gave agreat battery life, but had Wifi issues. I then switched to MS2Ginger 3.0 from Walter with the same kernel and although battery life was great, the office wifi refused to connect. Do you think this is something related to the kernel?

[Q] Defy+ over heating & battery problem - SOLVED

Hello,
I've rooted my DEFY+ to Gingerbread 2.3.6 (using threads found here) and everything is working; I had a battery drain problem so I installed NQ Android Booster together with GO Power Master and I've used Titanium Backup to freeze some unused (not system ones) app.
Now I have this overheating problem: battery discharging in 12 hours or less, high temperatures even if phone is in pocket; it restarts by itself randomly and several times I use to put it in a chilling water glass to accelerate the process.
I'm seriously thinking about a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S3 is sooo tempting) but I'd like to know if it's a phone or fw or whatever problem.
Thanks,
eth*
Stock or custom ROM?
Hello Auris,
actually I flashed to a stock rom found on the forums, it has
Basebrand version: EPU93_U_00.60.03
System version:45.0.2310.MB526.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU
Build number: 4.5.1-134_DPF-231
Root your phone and flash some custom ROM... I'd recommend Quarx's latest CM9 build (you can find a how to thread in the threads, started by me).
I've searched for the topic and found it; actually as I'm not into flashing and more, I have to understand where to find things and how to do the whole thing.
Thanks in advance for the help, much appreciated!
Then I'm on CM9 and all problems seem vanished!
Thanks Auris =)

Insane battery drain

hi guys, i had this battery drain that made me go around with a 20k mah powerbank everyday for a while and i bought a new battery thinking it was a hardware issue but at least in the past day(i tried it only for a day) the new battery isn't any better, i also use greenify and naptime but still comes from 100 to 40 in 1 hour or less, is there a fix to that?
I'm currently running rr official nougat 5.8.3 with franco 3.10 kernel i don't know anymore what to do
i tried battery configurator but didn't help.
i also changed the type c connector but i don't think it has anything to do, i swapped it when i changed the battery.
I'm not sure how much my answer is going to help but please try to upgrade the OP2 firmware to the latest one and then clean install the custom OS on it. It happened to me too but not to an extent of yours and it got fixed by clean flashing the custom ROM. P.S I was already on the latest OP2 firmware.
