Google Music Beta

So i just recieved my invite to join the music beta. it is pretty spiffy guys. if youve not signed up, i recommend you should. if any one has question, just message me.

yah it takes along time to update ur collection to there cloud! a very long time!!!

Signed up but no email invites. Even tried a couple different emails. Dam sucks. Have 7 GB of music and would like to free up my 8gb SD card.

Yes there is a app, just look on market for it! but u have to signed up to use it.

If u have 7 gb of music and u want streaming for free on wifi or 3g then get Audio galaxy for android as its just as good as google music and i have both. That will free up the room on ur sd card..enjoy

Wait, folks are still waiting for invites?!
I've had mine set up for a couple weeks now (maybe cuz I used to have a Xoom they sped my invite up...) and am loving it. Been using the web software at work to listen to music. Then switch to my phone for the drive home (streaming over the webz).
Either way, it uploaded about 2/3 of my 33 gig collection. Apparently there's a 20 gig limit...

You sure about that? If you look at the settings it allows you to upload 20000 songs. I have 46.5 gigs of music and thats only around 10000 songs. I know it didnt upload some of my music due to DRM. I've been uploading for 4 days and its at about half lol

Yeah I saw that limit and I certainly haven't come close to the 20000 songs yet, but it inexplicably won't scan above the 2gig mark for me. Maybe I need to figure out a way to re-add the missing songs

yes, people with tablets got their invites faster than others.

I can't seem to get shuffle to work on my phone. It will just keep repeating the same song. Maybe because my music isn't cached yet? Odd, but otherwise pretty awesome.

Is there a way to select what to upload and what not to?

received my invite yesterday still uploading music but its worth it. best app i have used in a while. does anyone have an idea of how much it will cost? its says its free for now?

make different folders in different directories.

Got my invite today, started uploading my 7000 songs an hour ago, 3000 are done so far.
****ing love my internet, so glad I decided to upgrade it a month ago. xD

and it is showing that the payment was rejected and i didn't even got my app !!
What should i do ?
P.S. First Purchase !!
Update : I applied for refund through android market and does it take to refund it BTW ?
and when purchasing,it didn't ask for my 3D Secure Code(Mastercard).

If u have x10 then it doesn't support asphalt 6
No idea about the rejected payment

Well i figured it out,as it was my first transaction,google automatically deducts 1$ for adding my debit card to google wallet !! dunno if it returns it back too
I was trying to re-add my card to google wallet and then i found out about it !!

I noticed this yesterday, got a few bargains, ill probably get some more when there's new ones for 10p.
I checked on my sister's sg2 and there was a racing game she could could get for 10p that wasn't compatible with our X10, shame but these are still great offers.

Get asphalt 6 for her phone

Thats the racing game i was on about, couldn't remember the name of it. I was going to get it on her phone but she hasn't set up her payment details properly and it was light so i just left it to the next day, i didn't know that the apps for 10p changed daily then so ive missed out.
I got GLWG for 10p which is good fun, im just stocking up on good 10p games even if they wont work well on our x10 ready to play on whenever i get a new phone or tablet.

trouble downloading from market
hope someone can help me on this.
been trying to download some of the featured discounted apps but it keeps saying "error occured. please try again." i also tried on other regular paid apps (outside the discounted section) and i still get the same error. free apps i can download no problem.
i thought it has something to do with where i am (Philippines) but when i try to do it via pc browser, the paid apps get pushed to my device with no problems.
any of you have any thoughts on this?

Now, if you have not taken 4.5GB worth of pictures and videos the easiest way of getting that full bonus is... well, you just slap all sorts of smallish music videos, all those dirty hentai pictures you undoubtedly have on your PCs and so on on the sdcard/DCIM or sdcard/DCIM/Camera on your device and let Dropbox sync those. Easy 5GB.
Just don't bother with files over 500MB as they seem to only count towards 500MB uploaded once, ie. if you upload a 1.5GB file it'll still only count as 500MB uploaded.

As for those who do not use Dropbox: just ignore this thread instead of starting some petty and childish argument how it sucks or how your favorite service is sooo much better.

this is not new. right in the damn url you posted it says 2 weeks ago. learn to read.

I have uploaded 1.5 gb today of photos and small videos and only have the 2.5 gb that i got when i signed up.

You have to make sure the photos etc are imported using the DropBox automatic photo import facility. This is either when you plug in a camera, phone, or just a flash card (with the right folder structure to appear as a camera). You can also do it from the phone itself I understand.
That is what they are testing, and that is what they give extra GB for.
I believe it is closed, but give it a try anyway.

the original was closed, however there is another new beta and they're repeating what they did before, i forgot to do it last time and i'm just finishing up 5gb now. Took a few seconds of looking on their forum to find it.

There is a way to increase your space by 3GB legitimately right now by utilizing DB's new auto-upload feature. You can simply update to DB 1.4, turn the feature on, and connect a storage device containing videos and/or images.... they auto upload, and for every 500MB you upload, DB will increase your space by 500MB (up to 3GB). Every little bit helps. Just as an fyi...

Hello everyone, I was given 48GB of free space from dropbox because I installed it on the tab. If this was common knowledge sorry for extra post if not then enjoy the massive space increase When you install it they will send you an email telling you . Just click on the link and follow the directions. Enjoy!

Thanks! Just logged into my dropbox via my Tab 2 and got the additional 48GB storage. Be aware... this additional space is for 12months only!

so, it means if we maximize the 48G and at the end of the period all of our files will be gone...it would be nagging than...i prefer to use my extra space by inviting my friends LOL

Sign up for a dropbox account (if you don't already have one) then sign in on your tablet after you install the app and you should automatically get it.

Just got my 48gb's took less than five mins, more than enough space although it only lasts for 12 months

I bought the Galaxy Tab 2 7" for my Mom as a Mother's Day gift. (I kinda owed her something extra nice, since I missed visiting for Christmas). Mom lives about 1,000 miles away and doesn't even have a smartphone much less know what to do with a tablet, so I got it all set up for her and then shipped it off. In the process I used DropBox to transfer over some eBooks. MY DropBox account.
After signing myself out and Mom in, the bonus 50GB (I think it's supposed to be 50) never appeared for Mom. I'm guessing it's once time per MEID (or whatever) rather than once per account.
So, be careful if you're planning on gifting it to someone else, or if you use multiple DropBox accounts. Looks like it'll only give the bonus out ONE time.

I bought the 7 inch tab yesterday and when I logged in it updated me that I had gained 48GB of space free for a year. Checked on the computer and it showed and I checked my phone and it also showed. Pretty cool.

You get 2 GB free when you signup for Dropbox. Do you have 50 GB total? If so, it's probably the 2 DB for signing up and 48 from the Tab 2.

I've had my Tab 2 7" for a month now (a prerelease beta model) and I signed up for Dropbox back then and got no bonus. I've tried redoing it, but since my tablet has already been signed up I didn't get anything. Is there a way to get the 48 GB in my situation?

You get 48gb free. I currently have 65 ish from the free storage i already built up

Try contacting Dropbox and tell them your situation. They'll make an effort to investigate, and if it checks out, you get it!
