sending tab back to samsung for repair - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

So i'm sending the tab back for the newton ring fix, the tab came unlocked which i'm assuming they will lock back down before sending it back to me....do i need to unroot it before sending it in or just send it in as is?

Yes, revert it to stock or else your warranty will be void.

How to know if its back to original firmware?

I previously unlocked and flashed my phone but then i returned it to the stock flash. How can i be sure that it is back to normal and no signs of unlocking/flashing are there before i send it back for repairs?

Sprint question

hi,
I have to send my epic back to sprint. its rooted. should i return it back to factory and send it or just send it back?
Woody
I always return mine to factory - 2 reasons.
1. Just in case there is a password or account info lurking on it.
2. The off chance they check for root.

sending back to samsung after debranding and rebranding. Anything i should know?

Had a orange UK galaxy S II. There were problems with the audio, so i tried changing the original BVKE2 firmware to the generic KE7 and KF3 to see if it would fix it. It didn't really work, so now i need to send it back to samsung. I found the original Orange UK KE2 firmware here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14502681 and flashed that back onto my phone. The PDA and PHONE numbers match up with the original but the CSC number is different. Does this matter and will any of this voided my warranty? and should i do anything else before i send it back to make sure that the warranty is fine? I have not rooted my phone or messed around with anything like that.
Thanks, (i need a quick reply)
Do a hard reset of the device by inputting *2767*3855# in the dialpad and then flash the same firmware again.
When you say the CSC don't match up do you mean it's not showing as ORAKE2?
Turn off your phone and restart in download mode (on+ volume down+ home) what does the download counter say, is it still a 0? If not your warranty is voided. I would to be sure just buy a jig and use it to reset the download counter, they are pretty cheap (6-7 euros inc shipping) and always handy to have

Warranty return - how to set up my phone (stock, unroot, etc.)?

I have a strip of dead pixels across the middle of my Nexus 4. I contacted warranty service at Google Play, and they said it should be under warranty.
I bought it on the day of release.
So, since I rooted and have flashed this thing like 30 times, I'd like to know to what state I should return it before sending it back. I suppose it matters, but I'd be happy if someone told me it didn't.
Thanks for the advice.
Read this guide to flash the stock images. Once youre done you should also lock the bootloader using "fastboot oem lock". Ive seen some people that were able to rma successfully even with an unlocked bootloader, but its better to be safe.

Restore factory, including safestrap

I have a damaged NJote 3 which I have to return to samsung to repair. I did a settingts -> wipe/factory restore and it got rid of everything and restored default software. I tried to unroot it with Kingo, and it said it wasn't rooted. But when you power up it still shows custom and safestrap loads. How can I get rid of all that so Samsung doesn't throw the phone back at me saying the warranty is void. Please help!
