Oxygen r1 franco 31 august wifi keeps disconnecting - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

I am using oxygen r1 with franco kernel 31august
My wifi was keep disconnecting when i read books on aldiko and when i was not using wifi for 5 mins
So i edited system/etc/qcom cfg .ini
And edited these values
# Enable/Disable Idle Scan
gEnableIdleScan=0
Changed to 1
# Increase sleep duration (seconds) during IMPS
gImpsModSleepTime=600
Changed to 200000000000
Now my device is getting hotter than before
My problem didnt solved after this
Will it harm my device or not
Should i revert back to stock settings
Sent from my Huawei u8800 using xda premium

If the phone gets really hot, than definitely change back to original settings.
What's the latest stock Rom installed on the phone? What AMSS have you got?

[KERNEL][28MAR]SuckerPunch-Voodoo #12[Sound v7, Lagfix, Color & Sharpness][UV Supprt]
I present to you...SuckerPunch-Voodoo...includes Voodoo Lagfix, Sound v7, Color and Sharpness along with UV support (no OC)
Voodoo lagfix converts /system, /cache, /dbdata and /data to Ext4 with optimized parameters for speed but also guaranteeing data integrity.
Also, it configures the write behavior of Linux to prevent lag from happening, plus apply some memory management providing a better balance than stock settings.
Special thanks to supercurio for all his Voodoo work..And Thanks to Xcal, DG, Hardcore and everyone else!
And a BIG thanks to all of you who have donated!!
As always, flash at your own risk, im not responsible for any damages!

NOTE Delete previous Voltage Control settings, S_volt_scheduler in /etc/init.d/ BEFORE flashing!
NOTE
When flashing a new kernel/rom your battery indicator may be off.
This means that you can have zero battery drain or a huge battery drain at the beginning.
Let the phone go through 3-5 complete charge cycles for the battery to recalibrate itself.
Looks good, I don't OC anyways, the phone is fast enough with the lagfix alone.
No time to test it out tonight engineering test in the morning
Download is now live
Nice red logo.
Edit: Doesn't boot on Cog4+KP1 (SP #51 and Paragon are fine). Froze at bootanimation and then after retrying a few times it get into the bootanimation and then just turns off.
Flashing now!

Make sure you delete your s_volt_scheduler
If you are coming from an OC/UV kernel, make sure to delete your Voltage Control settings, S_volt_scheduler in /etc/init.d BEFORE flashing...it will cause problems if you don't
No 600 step, yet? Hoping to see it soon.

Oops, sorry. I guess I should always read the OP completely on a new kernel. Trying again.
Edit: yes, that was the problem. Also, didn't expect it but just for fun I tried to make the camera freeze. 100+ mode cycles and no freeze.
Won't go past the red logo, deleted the voltage file before flashing. Pulled the battery and tried to start, still the same.

Try flashing back to your previous kernel, if you deleted VC settings from the app, check /etc/init.d manually with a file manager to see if its still there..or use adb shell (rm /etc/init.d/S_volt_scheduler)...ive had it not delete it before.. or did you delete it manually to begin with?

I deleted manually. I couldn't get back to the "desktop" or recovery mode, reflashing right now.
what kind of battery life do we expect on this? better than SP #51 and speedmod K13C? I've been looking for a kernel that allows me at least 12hrs on moderate usage and so far the only one that has done that is speedmods k13a. All the others including previous SPs have got me around 7-8hr life with proper UVs and no OCs. I'm going to flash this now and report back to you in a couple days.
P.S. will this work on Darky's 9.3B3?
Just flashed and works flawlessly for me. Battery GPS ans camera trials tomorrow. Goodnight.

It does a complete VooDoo conversion which can take A LONG time if you already have everything installed. Make sure you wait.
I would have preferred we had the option to enable VooDoo.
Do I want to keep the cfq setting or use noop?
Flashed - it went to the red boot logo, the Voodoo voice said converting, then said system data cannot be accessed. Went to the bootanimation and then just kept repeating the bootanimation for at least 10 minutes. Pulled the battery, went back into recovery and flashed my old kernel. I am assuming that since I converted system to ext4 that was where my problem was. I'll convert the system back to rfs and try again once everything boots back up to make sure my phone is usable.
Edit - looks like I'll have to flash back to stock and reinstall everything. Can't get the phone to boot past the bootanimation. No worries though, it was about time start fresh again anyway after all the kernels I have flashed over the last 2 weeks. And yes, I deleted the OC/UV settings. I've forgot to do that enough times that I don't forget anymore.

Had you converted your /system files to ext4? I had everything converted to ext4 and then manually went into to CWM and converted /system to ext4. That is the only thing I can see that went wrong, especially when Voodoo said that system was not accessible. I've flashed no less than 15 different kernels in the last month and, except when I forget to delete the OC/UV settings, I never run into problems.

hello friend I want to thank him for the first rom (use forum cyanogem 7 ice Crean theme in android development) she is wonderful but what I could tell her and that led in the device options options is not working and my battery falls a lot when I'm using network data or playing some game ... any idea about it? I apologize for my horrible english because I'm using google translator

What?? How can you say it? Endless7 created it yesterday and you say it's no more needed... What rights do you have to make that decisions? *facepalm*

MIUI freezing

Hi ,
I've just moved from cm7 to MIUI
Everything seems to be ok , apart from the fact the whole phone freezes for 2-5 seconds often. During this time the display doesn't change anything on the screen and the hardware buttons do not work.
So for example, if your moving left/right between the home screens - when the freeze happens it will show half of one home screen and half of the other.
It doesn't matter what your doing - there is no pattern to it. Its so annoying.
I've looked in the main thread for MIUI but found anything. Any ideas?
1) are you using latest build?
2) did you wipe cache AND data AND dalvik?
3) if nothing of above helps, then try to change vsel and/or default cpu clock
... I'm using MIUI for a while and I don't experience that problems
thanks for reply:
1) I think so - 1.12.16
2) Yep , wiped factory and cache x2 just to make sure.
3) this could be what Im after.
I've installed Milestone2 Toolbox and the overclock tool is showing
Clock 1 - 300 Vsel 17
Clock 2 - 600 Vsel 32
Clock 3 - 900 Vsel 44
Clock 4 - 1200 Vsel 60
I've tried flashing the Stock cpu/vsel values zip on the first page on the main thread: ( [ROM] [12/18] MIUI 1.12.16 GB 2.3.7 + ICS Multilanguage for Milestone 2!)
It seems that it hasnt worked - but I will try again.
NOTE - My MS2 has not rebooted itself like a lot of people who are having problems.
I tried again flashing the stock values zip from Clockwork - it looked like it worked.
Going into milestone2 toolbox however the values listed above are correct.
As such , I've changed the values manually using the milestone2 toolbox to endless cm7 values as specfied on page 35 of the main thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258073&page=35
After a few mins of use - it hasn't frozen yet.
Will give it a few hours and see how it behaves.
just to let you all know the changes above seemed to have worked

wifi.supplicant_scan_interval not found in build.prop

i need to change wifi scan interval but i can't find wifi.supplicant_scan_interval anywhere in root level ,
i tired to add it in build.prop but nothing changed .
any dev can help ?
I got the same problem.
Wi-Fi keeps scanning while im already connected. Why, O, why?!
My mind has never been more baffled.

Save, set permissions rw-r-r and reboot.. I used solid explorer btw
#2 If still didnt work. Try install Lspeed.
On LNET Optimizer, set net buffer to 'big', ril tweaks on, google dns and faster streaming on. Reboot
#3 Change the tcp algorithm in kernel auditor to LP or reno or cubic, if Hard to Change go to folder root proc/sys/net/ipv4 open 'tcp_congestion_control'. . Otherwise the westwood is the best..
Edit :
My opinion its because of the Custom Kernel that make Unstable Connection, when use StockKernel it doesnt!
This tweaks still not fixed the Unstable Internet Connection Problem on MIUI7 7.2 Gobal Version a Ported one!

Search the same path at the bottom, select all same path and replace with my path above. Save, set permissions rw-r-r and reboot.. I used solid explorer btw
Edit :
If still didnt work. Try install lspeed.
On LNET Optimizer, set net buffer to 'big', ril tweaks on, google dns and faster streaming on. Reboot

net.tcp.buffersize.default=4096,87380,256960,4096, 16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.umts=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.gprs=4096,87380,256960,4096,163 84,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.edge=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.hspa=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960

net.tcp.buffersize.evdo_b=6144,87380,1048576,6144,87380,1048576
Scrolling down until see the same path at the bottom, select all same path and replace with the path above. Save, set permissions rw-r-r and reboot.. I used solid explorer btw

Reboot the phone when slow internet connection come again..
Edit :
Change the tcp algorithm in kernel auditor to LP or reno or cubic, if hard to Change go to folder root proc/sys/net/ipv4 open 'tcp_congestion_control'. . Otherwise the westwood is the best..

From where you got it? On xda or?
Why not choosen miui7 rusian build? Its stable, update weekly, stock kernel already modified (if you flash another kernel it will make unstable connection)
I get from xda miui 7.2 stabil hlobal for a6000

Here a Tweaks to FIX Slow Download on MIUI7 Rusian Build (maybe on Global Version too)
#1 Copy this path to your built.prop, located on system/built.prop
Scrolling down until see the same path at the bottom, select all same path and replace with the path below:
This trick still not fixed the Unstable Internet Connection Problem on MIUI7 7.2 Gobal Version a Ported one!

1) The buffer size for edge, hspa, umts were same even earlier, still I replaced the other values.
2) I've used connection stabilizer booster earlier. Worked in the beginning but after some time stopped working.
3) I don't think that the problem is with the custom kernels, because I tried stock too, but still the same. When, I first flashed MIUI there wasn't any such problem. Then, I went back to CM11 for a week and later when flashed again MIUI this problem started. And, when I first flashed Phantom Kernel, I saw a substantial change with increased speeds. But later after some time the problem arised again. In Phantom the default tcp congestion protocol was Reno. So, I tried Reno on stock MIUi and GoD's but in vain. Also, 'highspeed' tcp protocol shows good speeds in status bar, but MC4 still doesn't work
Edit: I've got noticable changes after adding those lines in the build.prop
Hope its permanent :silly:
