I only noticed this evening and have not seen it mentioned here (I may have missed it) but Samsung Market has just updated to 2.0.5. There are a few nice new apps there as well inc. a dragon riding game.
Updated mine to 2.5.034 about a week ago.
Why does it have a different build number in settings/applications to the one in the about screen of the app itself? Mine is as yours. 2.5.034
Did anyone lose his or her credit card information for google checkout after the new version change?
Regards.
Can someone help me how to update android market?
I was found tutorial on internet version of market but no sucess

Comment Print For Android 1.6 and higher, the Android Market application automatically updates itself when new versions become available. This is a silent update which means you will not see a notification and will not be prompted to update. Perform the following to ensure the latest version of Android Market is updated properly:
Android 1.6 - 2.3
1.Launch Android Market
2.Switch to the Home screen
3.Wait 5-10 minutes for Market to self-update
4.Re-launch Market
Android 3.0
1.Launch Android Market
2.Touch My apps in the top right corner
3.Switch to the Home screen
4.Wait 5-10 minutes for MyApps to self-update
5.Re-launch Market
To check the version of Android Market:
1.Press Home, press Menu, and touch Settings
2.Touch Applications
3.Touch Manage applications
4.Touch the All tab (Android 2.2 or higher), or press Menu, touch Filter, and touch All (Android 2.1 or lower)
5.Scroll down and select Market
The version number appears below the Market title.
To check the version of MyApps:
Repeat the steps above, but select MyApps instead of Market. The version number appears below the MyApps title.
To update market, clear data for it and relaunch market, easy and works!
My Samsung Market just updated itself to 2.5.039 which sounds even newer!
I don't see the game you mentioned though.
I also had a question... A few months back, I'm sure there was a photo editor app on the Samsung Market, but I don't see it anymore. I'm sure I tried installing it, and it failed, and now it is gone. I did successfully get the video editor at the same time, and still have it installed and working, but that is also missing from the Samsung Market list now. Am I right, was there ever a photo editor in there? Does anyone else still see it? Had anyone got it installed on their device? Is it any good?
The other Samsung Market oddity I have is that, the Samsung Market icon tells me there is 1 new update (as does the text in the list inside the app), yet there is no updates listed when you get in there. There used to be two listed in both those places, but only 1 update there, which I installed... leaving me with a mysterious invisible update supposedly available. I wonder if all of these problems (including the game you have that I don't don't see) are regional ones caused by my move from uk to nz and therefore changing sim card. I used to be on uk voda, and now on payg 2deg in nz.
I might try my uk sim card to see if it offers me anything different.
Any thoughts?
Mike

If you have CWM try clearing dalvik cache from advanced and regular cache.
Your device thinks you have that photoeditor, which offers update, which you can't see in the samsung apps as it failed at installing, this is just my thought which came first in my mind.
Also sim card shouldn't be affected to what your samsung apps offers, only the CSC should.

Still don't work for me :-( Tried to clear cache just say accept terms and conditions and I click accept and still on version 2.3.6
Any implications from clearing dalvik? Any chance of data loss or problems afterwards? Never done it before, so want to check before jumping in.
Thanks
Mike

Actually any problems afterwards is smaller chance to come if you clear dalvik cache twice in a month and when flashing a theme or any other cwm package. Only thing is longer first boot, since it will rebuild dalvik cache from scratch with your new settings and apps. And there is no chance to lose data.

Same versions on my I9000

Fellow Droids,
I had previous downloaded some applications from the Android Market from my HTC Desire/HTC Sensation/Galaxy Nexus handsets which I later uninstalled.
On my Nexus S, I am seeing some of those previously downloaded/uninstalled applications being restored and appearing on my "My Orders" list.
Usually I wouldn't care less but.. there are three apps on "My Orders" list which suggests I have purchased them but I haven't. I can't install these three apps either as I get a "declined" message saying I need to purcahse them first. But I can't purcahse them because the usual "buy" tab has been replaced with "purcahsed".. argh!
I have contacted Google.. but they are not being very helpful.. and the developers are also unable to assist..
Anyone here know of a solution for this because I really want to purchase those three apps?
PS. The three apps are Rail Planner Live, CalenGoo and TuneIn Radio Pro.
KKH
Usually that happens when you install apps from non-market sources, like GetJar or anything else, if you know what I mean.
This happened to me with Cut the rope, but I installed it again from another source, uninstalled it and then I have been able to install it from the Market app (not web).
The Install button was being displayed, but once I clicked it went on with the normal purchase process.
You can also try clearing the data for the Market app and then try again.
No way I know of through which you can delete your orders.
This has been a huge issue with the new version of the market and the advent of alternate app sources like Amazon, GetJar, SlideMe, and others.
The way I get around this in GB is as follows:
1. Wipe Market data, uninstall market
2. Install old version of Market (version 2.3.6)
3. Open old version of Market and buy/download the app
In my experience, it auto-updates to the most recent version of Market immediately after the first app download or a bit later if left alone. You may have to do this 3 times for your 3 apps... assuming that version works with ICS. Hope it works for you.

Just delete or freeze the market updater apk to prevent automatic market updates.

When selecting My Apps on Google Play web site I can only see half of my apps.
I have about 250 apps installed from Google.
You able to fix market links using Titanium backup?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
i encountered this problem once...
i forgot how i fixed it, probably by rebooting or logging in different google account...
Try to delete data of Google play in setting - application
then restart phone
This is on the Google Play web site, not on the phone.
I just noticed this problem too.
If you install apps via apk (eg. applications you got on xda) that Google has no record of on the play store, they won't show up.
Hey guys,
I'm having the same issues with my stock Galaxy S III. A couple of hours ago, I became 4 fresh devices directly from the Authorized dealer here where I live. I wanted to update them and set them up properly for my co-workers. I've installed 4.1.1 on all 4, with kernel 3.0.31-256827. Everything went smooth on all devices and I was really fascinating what a wonderful device that is. Afterwards I've created 4 Gmail accounts for all of them (from the same IP address) to install the needed apps from GooglePlay. But one, somehow, someway didn't show any pre-installed apps in GooglePlay, such as GoogleMaps, Gmail, Google+, which should appear, because they're installed same procedure in each case (every device has got the same versione, same firmware,..).
..to focusing back on little-vince's post;
I hope that's not true.
I don't know the way these apps were installed or cooked into, but 3 of 4 phones went smoothly in my case.
All 4 were before the update on the same version, which I did not wrote down. The problem also is, that on another device I had the problem to update the apps via GooglePlay which were shown. There basically was an *update* sign, but when I clicked it there was the text that it's not available in my area.
I somehow think, that the problem is somewhere in the language/locales.
I've switched between the default language on the phone, rebooted it, and somehow I made it work on the second device to run updates,
but on the first device, not even a single installed app shows up, which is funny :silly:
I've also tried to clear cache, wipe everything, factory reset etc.., but it didn't worked out.
If you find a solution, I'd be glad to know.
Sir, you stated Galaxy S III, you do know this is the GNote >>Galaxy Note GT-N7000. Unless you are ref to the GNote 7000.
But I glad you used the Search button to bring this thread up...from June - Sept.
I had this problem once and it was because I changed the screen resolution (lcd density). Google play understands this modification as a "not compatible device", so some apps doesnt´t show at "My apps".
Before that I tried a lot of solutions, like cleaning the google play cache, etc., but nothing worked.

Ok so I got a replacement N7 today and I wanted to reinstall my previous apps.
I didn't want to go through the tedious job of going through the N7's Play store and selecting each app to install again.
So I went online on my laptop to the play store. It changed some, now it shows pictures of my devices and what's installed on them
There is my N7, but it looks like it's my previous unit. I see the apps i had installed in the list as installed apps. So I go into each and try to reinstall them on my new N7. It won't says I already have them installed..
I removed them, go to my phone's image and proceed to reinstall the apps in that list to my N7, again can't they are already installed.
Ok, how do I reset that?
I went to the play store on my computer, selected my Android apps, then clicked all the apps that were on my old nexus 7. Then I went through and selected to install them on my new one.

Did the sad thing but when I would select my nexus 7 it said it was already installed and wouldn't let me. I had to change the name of My previous unit. Reset my new unit and set it up again. It then showed up as another nexus 7 on my account and it allowed me to reinstall.

I'm in the process of getting a replacement due to the screen creaking and slow to respond to screen taps issues.
Not sure if this will work but I'm planning to archive my Apps with a Back Up program and temporarily copy teh back up file to Dropbox until I get my new one. I'll then install the back up programe and, move the file back and then restore
May be (i) a sledgehammer to crack a nut or (b) doomed to failure but it works in my head
Google sucks with their app management. On the play site, you can't get to page 21 (really, a search company can't code it to display more than 20 pages...) of your apps and it lists every app you've ever installed on any device. The best way I found when I was first installing everything was to flip the nexus 7 landscape and it had the tablet interface. That way I could pick the apps to install and not have to re-scroll through the entire list of apps from the top every time I chose one to install.

True that... what's with shopping being on a drop down menu? I use google to price stuff, you'd think they'd want to make using them for that type of revenue searching easier.

Not sure if this is the right place to post or not.
I just purcahsed a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Set it up and noticed the Android Market Icon was still there??? Went to download some apps and it prompted me to download Playstore. After Playstore was downloaded imediatly started freezing up and forcing close. Uninstalled, re-booted, reinstalled again and same problem. Unistalled, did master reset, did another initial set-up, went to Playstore and same problem. Wasted an hour of my life on the phone with T-mobile customer care and tech support then wasted another 35 minutes with Samsung tech support with no positive outcome. So this moring I turn to the internet and the real experts. Doing a quick google search I see that in the past week or two there have been a huge influx of Playstore complaints that sound similar to mine and it appears they are not device or carrier specific. Has Google come out an said there is a problem? Anyone else on here having any issues? FYI, I did confirm that I am running the most recent updates.
I checked and I do have the most recent system update on my device. I am not a "geek" but have been using Android devices since before they were availabel to the public and this Samsung is my 6th Android device so I am not a newb, that being said I am ready to throw my new Tab through a wall because I can usually work my way through glitches and get them corrected on my own. I was using a crappy old Viewsonic G-Pad before this, I thought I was upgrading but thet old rooted G-Pad is far better than this garbage.
Thanks in advance.
so are you saying you are on android version 4.0.4? that version should have come with the "play store".
I haven't had any issues myself, but you can try going into settings-applications, and then select the market/play store and clear data and cache. You can also uninstall updates if it still acts up.

Yes, it is version 4.0.4 yet it has an Android Market icon not a play store icon, I was very suprised when I saw that icon, I have not seen it in months on my other devices, i thought it was a thing of the past. Once I go into android market and try to install an app it then tells me I need to upgrade to Play Store, I click continue, download play store and that is when all hell breaks lose. Once I unistall the Play Store update it runs fine until I try to download another app through the market.
Not sure if this could help, but have you tried, instead of the factory reset, clearing data on Play Store and Google Services Framework, restarting and trying again? Ran into some Play Store trouble this past week and this seemed to solve it
I am having the same problem. I just got this 10.1 t-mobile tablet. I can't do anything because it is constantly popping up saying play store has stopped unexpectedly. I have uninstalled the update, cleared the data and cache. Nothing is working. I am essentially dead in the water as this pops every 30 seconds.
Saw the same problem on my friend tab
My only solution was to root and put cm9 on it. Works great now.
