ok i fixed my sisters droid x which was stuck on a loopback... so i wanted to share what i did...
just copy and paste this link...
http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html
now during the process if you get stuck and the pc is saying "request needed from the kernel" or something along the lines.. just reboot the pc and redo... that fix it for me.. and viola my droid is back to stock...
That method sure comes in handy

Ok, so you are up and running then. The only thing i was going to suggest is flashing SBF to get you back to Stock Android 2.2 and starting the process over again. I had a similar problem and wiped everything clean IOT get what i wanted. SBF'ing is simpler then you think, all you need is 2 files (rsdlite_4.8 and VRZ MB810_2.3.15 sbf). There's lots of articles here on it and I used them when I thought I bricked my phone. I started all over and was able to receive my 2.2.1 update.....finally!!
have you done the ota update? if so use 2.3.32.sbf you can get it by google and search droid x 2.3.32 sbf and its the first result. and dl rdlite 4.8. very easy to flash. several guides on here as stated.
I got it my drivers are up to date but won't find my phone.. And I'm leary all I got to do is that file and update?

Try running rsdlite as the administrator. (Right click rsdlite)
Now won't find it and I got a toshiba, only a little bit over a year old

EDIT - finally got rsd lite to recognize but first attempt failed trying again... pray
EDIT #2 - YEs, rebooted with 2.3.320 now to find 2.3.340 n flash it
ive got the rsd and the file i need and im pluged in and i looks like it reconizes my phone i think and i hit the " ...." and it show my sfb file but i cant start the prosess. the start button is not hilighted pleas help me.
It may be that the file name is incorrect. here is the file name for the 2.3.340 full sbf that I have:
VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf
thats the same as i have. I even made sure that rsd is running in admin and ive moved the sbf file to my c drive like ive read on some other posts. im getting kinda worried here .
What version of RSDlite are you using? Did you put the phone in Bootloader mode?
im runningh 4.8 and yes im in bootloader mode. Im also on windows 7 . Im going to try it on my laptop to see if that helps just waiting the the sfb file to download.
It worked on my laptop. Just didn't like my new dell computer

Hey guys.
Sooooo sorry if i am missing something obvious.. Im trying to do a backup after a fresh rooted .605 from Tom Tools thread.
Rooted fine. (see superuser)
Downloaded Rom Manager
Clicked Flash Clockworkmod Recovery
Chose Droid X
Said it did
Reboot into recovery just boots back to the OS.
Is there something between here and there I need to do?
just downloaded bootstrapper for droidx....now it boots to a black screen.

You must use Droid 2 Bootatrapper instead of the Droid X version.

ok thanks. got that , got into recovery... now the camera button doesnt (or any other button) select an option. i can just toggle up and down using vol keys
looks like my camera button is broken and I just called to find out my warranty expires in 6 days! I'm not usually a lucky person so that is pretty lucky for me
Will revisit this with the new phone
ok so this might have to be a new thread but.
I unrooted since it will be going back on Monday.
I need to get rid of SU and from what i read i have to sbf or use maderstcok - OTA 2.3.340 update.zip
Both guides NEED the camera button......
Is there another way?

You shouldn't need the camera button to SBF.

you need it to get to stock boot loader....
at least thats what the guide says.?

If on Gingerbread, holding both volume keys and pressing the power button gets you into bootloader mode. I believe it's different if you're on Froyo.

that worked... sbf'ing as i type this.
I was trying to flash a custom rom onto my sisters droid x. I'm not new to androids and have pretty good knowledge but coming from a atrix it was a bit different. Anyway I flashed the rom and the phone got stuck on the moto sign. So I tried loading back to stock via rsdlite. It finished and phone rebooted. Then got stuck again on the moto sign. Don't know where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. She needs her phone asap for work soon. Thanks.
Try SBFing again using RSD Lite, or use the Linux live cd--which is much easier.
Be sure you are using the correct SBF, also. Should say version .602.

Hey man - been there done that The SBF_FLASH utility you can download and use in LINUX (you can boot with the Ubuntu Live CD like the guy above suggested) is MUCH better. It "just works". Never had it error and RSDLITE failed so many times my battery went dead (before). I don't even bother with it now I just go straight to sbf_flash.
always remember to wipe wipe wipe... thats y u got stuck at the moto after rsd...

So i bricked my friends droid x and its currently stuck in bootloader.
Bootloader
30.04
Err: A5,70,70,00,1F
MEM_MAP Blank
Service Req'd
Battery OK
ok to Program
Transfer mode: USB
Ive been googling around and i havent seen anything. I wanted to know if there is anything.
There is a very easy way to fix it, but before I tell you, I need to know how this happened?
(Eg. installing an OTA update)

Have u tried to sbf?
This is were I would get my proper sbf and use Linux to reflash the phone as stock. Then data reset it. Reboot and start over. You'll get it. If IT's boot up problem occurs after reboot from flash then try different from that one is not working for you or directions not proper

Like mike said, sbf time. Its pretty easy, just download the Motorola drivers, SBF file, and RSD Lite. Can be done on windows or linux.
I would recommend using the .605 sbf file rather then .621, as .621 can't be easily rooted or sfb'd.
Link with step-by-step: ugh, im a new user so it wont let me post outside links. Its stickied on Droid X forums>Rescue Squad>Droid X SBF
