Just got my 'Dork' kit from today

Just got my Dork Gizmo kit with a Hard Shell Case for travelling and an HDMI cable,USB cable and a key hook? Weird. (Suppose to say from 'Amazon' dunno why the hell it didnt appears as i typed it.)

I got the same hardshell so far I love it! Keep us posted on the 32gig card I'm still saving pennies for that one lol.

Well I use my 32GB card today and its real nice to have aloooot of space.
And it works fine! Speedy, Kingston class 4.
I love the hardshell too, its a liiiittle bit hard to close the hard shell with the protective casing on but still it works! And that makes it awesome for travel.
Next thing is Skinomi screen protector and im done!
Loving my Acer more and more everyday!
Just wish they would make a keyboard dockstation so one can have the option of using it as a notebook and of course double the battery time or more since the dock would have batteries too.
The one they released not is a f-ing joke...

I bought this package from the suggestions here. I love the hdmi and the usb cables. I had thought that the case would be a tight fit, but loving the price and package.

I have the standard Acer gel case. Do you think there is enough room for the tablet to fit in the hard case with the gel case on it? It isn't thick. I really like that hard case.

I would think that you can fit the gel case in the hard case. Its pretty roomy, and I think its a little TOO roomy for my taste

I use it with the official Acer case INSIDE the other Hard Case(the one that look identical to Ipads) and I have no problem with too much room, in fact its borderline to tight but it feels sturdy and safe.

Give me another 10 hours. I am not near a computer

Yes I believe they do, you can just proceed to checkout when you are in Amazon after adding it to your basket and then you can confirm if you can receive it in your country.
But I believe it should be able to be delivered worldwide yes.

From what I read on amazon this one is heavily counterfeited and those suck. If its not from targus it probably sucks. I'll have to see if this one is real though lol

I'm wasn't a fan of the rubber tips, but I have made a few foam ones and recently tried a rubber one and it really works the best. I hope we don't get a crappy counterfeit one lol

I take notes at meetings and at school. So I'm gonna give this a try. We really lack a good note taking app though. Tab notes is the best so far and its not that great compared to one note.

I'd really love to use a stylus for sketching - could care less for note taking. But sketching would be great - only problem is, the tab isn't all that responsive - I mean, don't get me wrong - it's great. It's just wasn't built with that kind of functionality in mind... Which is unfortunate.
Still though, I'll get one eventually.

You know, I thought the same thing. I would draw something and the line would follow after. Using tabnotes it doesn't do that. I was looking for a mod to increase screen polling or responsiveness but nothing.

I ordered one, still no shipping info and no response to my email, oh well glad I paid with PayPal, if I don't hear anything in a few days, I will file a complaint with PayPal.

Mine shipped a day or two ago. These daily deal sites are slow.

The the BEST I've used.
DAGi P504. Don't have a link just Google. Transparent tip is mounted on a spring so no matter what angle your holding it, it will make contact. Very precise. I like it a lot better than the old style which you hat to hold at only one angle & much better than the eraser type.

Pointed tip Stylus?
Does anyone know of a stylus with a pointed rubber tip like the HTC Flyer one only usable on the A500? I would like one for some of the drawing programs and just can't get used to the rounded oversize points on most generic stylus.

Somehow I don't think the phone will sell enough to guarantee that. But we'll see. I'd love a flip case. Since forever ago.

PDair And Piel Frama have made flip cases (both vertical and horizontal) for Nexus devices. I assume they will for the 4 as well. I just emailed PDair so we'll see what the response is.

Leather cases already available in Europe
There is a European vendor (docteur-gms.com) with a number of cases for the Nexus 4, including leather wallet and leather flip cases. I cannot yet post full links so add http to the following //docteur-gsm.com/en/2573-lg-nexus-4. There are many color options and styles available. If I buy a Nexus 4 (I'm waiting to see the early real world reviews by all you first adopter buyers to make my decision), I'll probably get one of the leather cases from this site. I don't know what import duties will run, but the prices for the leather cases seems reasonable when converting from Euros to Dollars (although I didn't try to calculate shipping).

Maybe they'll make one like they do for the N7, and that one is only $20 so for a phone it should be ~$10.

Just seeing if I can post a photo of the black leather flip case for the LG Nexus 4 at the site that I referenced in my earlier post. They have a white one that opens from the side, but like a lot of their products, they've posted the Samsung Galaxy S3 product photos. Hopefully, they'll get all their product photos updated ASAP once they get their hands on an actual phone.

Do you (or anyone else) know of any other manufacturers of leather folio cases?
I checked out the PDair and Piel Frama flip/folio cases for the Galaxy Nexus and I wasn't that impressed. I'm looking for a SLIM and simple leather folio case.

I cant wait for a flip case either.

I sent out emails to several OEM's, interestingly all replied but most with generic responses. I did get one semi specific response:
"For the Nexus 4 custom flip covers, we are currently evaluating the market. Due to lack of easy access to the battery cover, requiring users to apply manual labor, use scarce tools and remove the original battery cover might cause warranty issues. This will significantly reduce the size of the market we would cater to."

I doubt if we'll ever get these from LG

Why can't these manufacturers make a transparent snap-on case that goes on the back and includes a flip-cover? I don't see why they'd even consider the idea of "removing the non-removable battery cover" just to apply a case onto it.

[Q] Nexus 7 Screen magically cracks..

The most "wonderful" thing happened today.
Here's the story:
I bought my Nexus 7 tablet a few months ago. I love this tablet, it's by far the best I've used. Today, I placed my tablet on my table after using it, and turned on some music on my laptop and danced around. It did not fall, didn't fly off, or run and fall down (what?). It was there the ENTIRE time. I then went back after a snack, turned off my music and decided to watch something on Netflix in bed. But one thing alarmed me. The bottom portion (equal to where the camera is on the top) had a gross crack, which extended in three sections to about the bottom half of the screen.
What. The. Heck. ??? Was what I promptly said as I stared at the crack. Now normally I'd shake it off and say "If I can use it, it's fine." HOWEVER, I can use the upper portion and some of the middle, I CANNOT use the bottom half. What does that mean? WELL guess what. It means I can't press the home, back, or other button. So I basically can't use it. Not a good idea after all, is it? I also can't type some letters. If it was in the toppish, I'd be fine with it. But this is ridiculous.
Funny, this happened before with a certain Dell laptop. Closed it. Placed on table after going upstairs. Lifted screen. Huge black gash on it.
Amusing on how cheap products are these days. For paying $199 I wasn't expecting pure gold, but this? Is it THAT sensitive? Please.. what kind of luck do I have.
Now to where I need help. What can I do now?? I sold my cracked laptop for $150, got a $50 from my Dad, and now it just CRACKS. And he woulldn't believe me after the other laptop. Now let me do say I take great care of my things. My phone has no cracks, or dents, or scratches and I've had it even longer. Is it possible to fix it? Please help. why me.. Is there some way I could move where the 3 buttons are? ugh.

You could buy a OTG cable and use a mouse on your nexus 7. As long you can see the screen to click on things. You can pickup a OTG cable for couple dollars on amazon or eBay.
If you bought the tablet from Google store. Try contacting them about trying to get it fixed. If you bought it else where you would have to contact Asus about it.

Hi,
I've being browsing Amazon for the past hour looking for a good and lightweight foldable cover but couldn't find one. It's hard to choose stuff without touching it and the pictures doesn't really help.

I'd recommend looking/asking the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Accessories Forum since it's dedicated to accessories for the tablet (and is the appropriate place for this type of thread). There are several existing threads on covers and cases, including this one - Let's Talk Cases!
I personally use the Poetic Slimline and have been very happy with it.

I have an official Samsung EF-BP600BBEGUJ Book Cover for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and it is nice.
I also have a PU Leather Rotating Case Cover for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition SM-P600, a lot thicker with more padding but not my 1st choice for looks.

I ordered the poetic slimline as well. But it will take like a month to get it to Europe... Which sucks Here in Switzerland you can usually chose between 50 apple accessories and one or two Android options... It's the apple Kingdom and I hate it.

Take a look at the Roocase oragami case. I have it and love it!

Mine will take more or less the same. I live in Brazil. Now, do you want to laugh? Take a look at the attached image and see how much I paid for the slim case. Ridiculous, but this was the only way to have this case.
