You might be having the same problem I experienced when I upgraded to the US T-mobile Rom 2.26 from my NL T-mobile Rom 1.31.
Several people have had the same issue. that sometimes the call goes directly to voicemail.
I would suggest you give more information about which Rom u had and which rom u are using etc. what your exact problem is. So far as I know there is still no solution to the Call problem.
Cheers,
Shah

I dont ****ing know what to do anymore.
I have a standard HTC p4350, i hard resetted one time only, i have NO apps running on it, and i dont have a ****ing signal from my provider. This is KPN Hi (Holland) and i cant seem to fix it. I updated the radio yesterday to 3.18.90, but it still the same! Everytime i only have 1 lil bar which goes away when i try to make a call. I cant be called, or sometimes receive the text message 2 days after its been send. I really dont know what to do, SOMEONE PLZ HELP!
RMA sounds like your hardware is going out.
I dont know, everything is working fine, except for the signal connection. WiFi is working fine for example.
Well if you updated the radio on it and it is still no good and you have a warranty send it back for repairs or replacement.
i heard that one of the radios (one of the newer ones) actually kills reception
I am using 03.21.90 and all is great hell my battery life has improved extremely.
Yea ill send it back i think then..
if u r goin to sell ur device, PM me
im looking for a device for new-solution testing purposes

Mine did the same thing, and it turned out to be a bad sim card. Try using a friends card in your phone, and your card in their phone and see what happens.
I did, they have the best signal, i dont.

I would try flashing to a different radio version. I think I read about some issues with the one you are using.
Which one do you suggest?

I use the radio that came with Open Touch 3.0 and it works great. I'm not sure what version it is, or if you can download it separately.
I am aware that many HD2 users are having this problem, but its getting to the point that its really pissing me off! My sim card is almost falling apart because of the amount of times im having to take it out and put it back in just to send messages!
Are there any solutions? other than turning off HTC Sense?
Thanks ppl.
1st thing to know: Which ROM Version are you using?
2nd thing: Did you install the SMS hotfix from HTC?
3rd thing: Are your sms center settings okay for your provider?
4th thing: I wrote a few hundreds SMS since I have the HD2 and there has never been a single problem with sending.

i updated to 1.66 and although i only used it for a day because my unit was a duff one, the problem seemed to go. Upgrade if you can as i've heard that 1.66 fixes it.
In the mean time you don't need to take your sim out.
This worked for me:
When messages get stuck in oubox:
soft reset. Send txt message to self, this will then release the stuck messages.

That doesnt sound like the same problem everyone else had. Everyone else just restarted the phone and they sent, no need to take out the sim card.
I had exactly the same problem (although it couldn't be fixed by removing and reinserting the SIM, or restarting the phone)
I tried absolutely everything, and i was never ever able to send a text.
However i did fix it by getting a new SIM from my network, i don't know whether what they told me is true but apparently some older 32bitSIM's are incompatable but the newfangled 64bit ones are.
once i inserted the new SIM i have had absolutely no sms issues
Skycamefalling:
1) ROM Version: 1.43.405.1 (70124)
2) No i havent installed the hotfix, where can i find it?
3) Yes i imagin they are the same as i haven't changed anything...
And bubblubbly, thats the first thing Vodafone did wen i reported the problem to then months ago, they sent me a new sim but it didn't make a difference at all.

1) Update to the latest ROM for your country (should be 1.66 I guess). Before updating, please backup your data, because the Phone-Memory will be deleted.
2) At the HTC Homepage www.htc.com. Same as where you'll find your ROM update.
3) Hmm...would be good to know for sure. But try the ROM-Update first.
greetings. about a week ago, I noticed I was missing a lot of calls, and not receiving texts. I can call out and send texts, just cant receive anything. well today I had enough and took it to the sprint store. after 3 hours of them working on it, still nothing they went as far as trying my number on a different phone, and even that phone couldnt receive calls then. (never rings). lastly, they gave me a new phone number for my evo, and still cannot get calls. so, I along with them are super confused. is it my evo or the number that's bad? they ordered me a new phone to pick up on Tuesday, but I'm not convinced it'll work. anybody have any idea what on earth could be wrong? I'm running pure stock. oh yeah, Google voice doesn't work either for getting calls, but it can receive texts. wife's phone on our account works just fine. so weird. thanks guys.
Derek
data over 3g and WiFi is working perfectly.
It's network related. They better pay this months bill for you. Call Sprint and find out.

I've had a similar problem lately of not getting calls. I'm not missing all of them, but at least once or twice a day, all of a sudden I'll get a nerw Voice Mail, yet the phone never rang. And, I've had people tell me that when they call, it goes straight to Voice Mail
I just attributed it to having WiFi only on, although that is just a longshot guess on my part.
Ive been unable to receive texts girl 3 days now. Anybody find a fix?

what's wrong with that Rom? damn, now that I think about it, I ran that Rom and realize my problems started that day. is there a reason why that Rom caused my no calls/texts issue.

yea. when calkulin upgraded from 1.77 (great rom) to 1.8, he added a bunch of ## codes directly in the menu. but somehow the defaults were messed up. i had this problem too. it affects any rom you flash after. just full wipe and reflash calkulin's, then get your msl from msl reader, and go to the dialer. then type ##data# and select edit. make sure mode of operation is on auto. then, DO NOT OPEN SETTINGS. just power off phone, and flash something else (maybe even calkulin's 1.7.7.)

i have no idea. i'd try this first, and if it doesn't work, a sprint tech might be able to fix it.

wish i woulda asked you guys earlier i unrooted, went back to stock, spent 4 hours in a sprint store, now have a different evo coming in from sprint on tuesday. guess ill try what you said tomorrow before doing the exchange. cant today as im not home. thank you again for all that info. really appreciate it.

@OP
the problem isn't with your phone, it's with your account. i ran into this a few times while i worked for Sprint, and there for all the issues that came up, the only fix was to delete the account from the network in its entirety and start from scratch. sometimes there's just some corrupted code that no level of tech support knows how to do anything with that just needs to be re-written.
i'm surprised that they ordered you a new phone even though using a different device didn't work. i think it was just a move to make you feel like they're doing something for you tbh. make sure that your line is comp'ed until the problem is resolved. you could probably get your whole bill paid, but you're more likely to get half of it (i'm assuming you only have two lines) covered. my recommendation is don't get greedy, just ask for your half.
goodluck!

thanks for the info. yeah, only two lines on our account. I'm not gonna be greedy seeing as I'm the one who caused the problem (flashed the rom) I just want a working phone now I'm real curious to how long that's gonna take. I'm mean if its my account, a new phone won't solve the issue right? could take Sprint awhile to figure this all out. grrrr. and its all my fault.

i'm not convinced it's your fault at all. sometimes funky things happen in the back end on sprint's side.
best of luck to you!
don't think this is a rom specific issue, it's most likely the network.
I'm having the same problem on savage-zen rom rc2...
What may help is updating your radios, prl, etc. I haven't done that in a while, not too sure that it will make a significant difference though.

I had the same problem running Evio 1.8. I tried a number of things (including different ROMS) but what seems to have fixed it was to reflash the radio. I reflashed the PRI 1.77_003 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485&highlight=radios and my phone has worked fine ever since. Once you're in recovery (amon or clockwork) flash the zip (PRI 1.77_003) and reboot. It will flash the radio and reboot. It might solve your problem.

so do u think its worth rooting again, and trying all that, or wait till I get the different evo and see how that goes? to be honest, I didn't want a different phone. I really liked this one and do you think them giving me a new number affects any of these trouble-shooting efforts? thanks.

If you have the time I would try my suggestion and or dkdude36 suggestion. He is correct in that the PRi is not the radio. I was in a hurry to type out the message. But I do mean the PRI, and I use the 1.77. You'll have to root the phone again, and nan-unlock. Then install a ROM and a recovery. If it doesn't work you'll have to restore it to stock before you return the phone so it will take some time to do all that. I was running Evio 1.8 for a while then one day I couldn't receive calls. I tried many things but the PRI fixed my phone. It's really up to you and how much time you have.
calkulin's evio 1.8
dkdude36 i think is right, i had the same problem a month ago, had to call *2 for help.
want ah guess what rom i was running....evio 1.8!
now i'm on Eternal Prophecy 5.8 got to read the hole thread, zero bugs!
I had recently had my phone flashed to the best carrier for the area im in ad noticed a few problems. im rooted with cm11 but sticking with the stock debloated rom. the carrier flash had actually cased some issues initially with the screen turning on and fully lighting up, but when i started flashing new roms that issue was fixed. I thought it had fixed all my issues, but as I found out yesterday, my call log is still completely null and void. it shows no calls in or out, and ive made plenty. but the bigger part is that I dont even know about a missed call until I get the voice mail notification. ive tried apps to record them but im guessing they work off whatever stock files control that and thy read nothing as well right now
has anyone had this problem or possibly know of a fix?
Me too!

I am also experiencing the exact same issue. Rooted Vzw g2 on page plus. I've searched phone for a log file that looks like it corresponds to the call logs but no love. It is a little obnoxious as I have no idea who calls me if I miss the call.
Have you found a solution?
me, too!
Any insight?
I've not found a thing that will help us, I've found others experiencing the problem, but no solution. I'm running a stock debloated rom and i think therein lies the problem. Something that was removed that was seen as bloatware is most likely what actually tracks the call log. I've been searching for a rooted bloated stock rom, but to no avail. I ran a few other roms and had a call log, but the roms overall sucked and i like the ui of the stock especially the camera app....I'll keep looking, but hopefully someone in the know sees this post and helps us out
I was flashing different stock roms and differet Gapps and whe it boots into the backup scree to set the phone up the number it was showing saying my sim was already set up wasnt actually my number. I dot know where or why the number was coming from. but alas, my call log worked ad on called id's it still showed up as the right number. so i began puttig all my stuff back on it and updating things and something i updated chaged that and now im back where I was without a call log.
i dont know what files i had flashed excatly, so now its just a guessing game and lots of flashing..
I am running through the same issue, no recent and missed call history, my messaging is fine. The G2 was rooted and flashed to PP. I am wondering if you have solved the problem, if so, could you please share your solution, very much appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I flashed to pageplus, rooted and installed xdabebbs rom. I dont see call history in my recent calls app. Please let me know of a solution
No solution yet, see someone say it could be because of flashing, so how you do the flash, yourself or someone help you.
Find out solution, simply reflash NAM only, i used DFS.
same problem here.
@gjbwj what for you mean reflash NAM?
Running VS982.5 ROM if it maters.
Pretty sure it was something I restored with TiBU that caused it. My wife's phone has the same ROM but I didn't restore anything but apps on her phone.
I would rather not have to start over for what should just be one file corrupted.
