Hello guys,
I have music on my nexus but when I go on the music app it says that there is no music and I need to connect to the CPU USB. So I now have to use explore to listen to music. How can I fix the music app?

Did you create a "Music" folder on the sd card to put the music files in? If not, do that and put your music in that folder.

Hi everyone.
One thing that I find annoying about this phone is when I install a new game or a couple of android games... all the game sound fx go to the music player library... that makes it so annoying to find songs because these games have so many little sounds that it becomes a mission to find a song.
Is there a way to remove them permenantly or to adjust the settings so no short music files will show up?
Thanx

Just update Stickmount app...
Yes, me too. Great news. Now I need to find an updated music player that can find the external mount point for the playlist (music folder). Dice (Cubed) player and Google Music don't seem to find the music, but I can read/write to external microsd or thumbdrive. If I click on a song in the external Music folder, it plays, but just stops after the song finishes. Anyone found a player that sees the external music?
Use poweramp great music player

I have recently initiated to upload my music library on the play storage.
But when I look on the phone, I don't wanna see it, is there a way to show only the music on the internal memory?
Odp: Play music app messy
On the top of music app choose my device only.

I'm trying to download the music from my nexus 4 to my computer. How do I go about doing this? I know doubletwist doesn't work with the Nexus, so what are some other solutions?
Usb?

Why not just plug it in, open the folder on the SD card, and copy and paste what you want?
also, you can upload all your music to googles play music service, then you can access it via your computer(listen and/or download).
Hi all. Whenever I download a picture or a file, I can view it in from the downloads app, but it does not show up in the gallery, at all. Also I have a music app that allows me to save songs on the phone, and it saves them, but they can not be found anywhere, not on phone storage, not on SD. This all started after I installed an external Sd card. What can be the reason?

use a media scan app
And as for your music files, try using PowerAmp, it's a great music player that finds your music by scanning your entire device.

And the best thing with it is that you can set it to scan just the folder you put your music in, so you don't have to listen to ringtones when playing random playlists
Poweramp is the #1 player for me!
