I will try git
It's not there. And they won't release it.
Since when was HTC obligated to release kernel source if they didn't release the binary?
Well regardless I want to try making kernels how do you know the version of the kernel you downloaded ?
You don't understand. The aosp kernel source does not contain board support for the Dinc.

You don't install it, The source code is needed to build a custom kernel, but either enable overclocking or generally tweaking it to improve performance. You need the Android SDK to compile a kernel.
But, can we get the OS from this source or it's just the kernel?

Install Linux eg Ubuntu, down it, build it directly or git AOSP source then build.
My computer is unstable, or I can use it to port CyangenMod. But I have git AOSP source, I might try to build one. However, how to flash the built is a big trouble...
been trying to dowload this for a whole day. each time only got 10kBps speed, and resulting in timeout. also cannot resume. wth samsung????
Went well for me so here's my upload

1. 2.3 has not been officially released for the Epic. We only have binary leaks, no source code.
2. The CM 7 team is waiting for the official release of 2.3 because the GPL requires Samsung to release the source code then.
The CM7 team needs the source code for the customized Epic kernel & drivers. They may need other source code poeces too.
tl:dr No, since they still do not have the needed source code.

Hi to all our dear developers,
I have started this thread to ask who all are working on development of Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for ZTE Blade?
In case you need any support in testing the ROM, I would be more than happy to volunteer.
Best,
Yatin

the honeycomb sdk was compiled for arm v6, the ics sdk was compiled for arm v7. zte blades only have an arm v6 processor.
so, we need the source code so that it can be recompiled for our arm v6 phones. There's a little bit more to it than that, so don't expect ics for the blade on the same day as the source code is released, but we need the source code before we can start work on a blade version.
hopefully we'll get a working port of cm9 (which will be based on ics).

It did & it's already being worked on by one of the guys responsible for cm7 on the blade. It's still early & lots of problems so far, but it boots.

once he's worked it out the source code for cm9 will be available, then you can use that.
using the aosp source code, once you have it booting there are still other problems to fix, like the touch screen, audio & ril.
everyone involved with cyanogenmod should be very busy fixing those problems, so it's best to leave them to it if you can't help them. they don't need to be bothered with questions.

Hi guys ! I've just discovered such a sourceforge page http://sourceforge.net/motorola/wiki/Projects/
There's a Bravo tree and a package available to download. It looks like Motorola opened Bravo sources.
I'm not sure so I need as many help as possible.

Yep, its the sources Motorola used before they applied their patches...the kernel provided is the same one thats in the Defy, MS2, and some of the Droid phone sources. Sadly, they're not as helpful as you'd think they'd be, seeing as its the source code for the Droid\Sholes platform -- all device references in the code are for OG Droid and OG Milestone.
//That said, I've been interested in downloading all of it and compiling a rom from the Moto Sources. I haven't because I'm not that interested in doing it.

Well yes, maybe Quarx used these sources to compile a new build. I'm not shure..
Also i think motorola did that because of google bought it.

I'm pretty sure they're the ones he used.
Ya know, I've always wondered if something in there could help with the camera on MS2Ginger or if it would be possible to compile a Moto GB rom while adding in some of the kobe sources. I've also been wondering if it would be possible to port over some Moto ICS or JB roms if *insert Defy Dev here* manages to get a working 3.x kernel running. I really do like MS2...sucks I can't get 4.0 to boot on the Defy .
I really hope my hand starts feeling better soon. I gotta take a 30 second break from typing every 6-9 words.
PROTIP -- Don't let boiling water pour on your hand.
