i have problem with using INTERNET via wi-fi, i'm using [mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense RC1.3a].. is that just me who have this problem??
I use this version on my wifi and it works very well what is the problem, can you connect to the wireless network ?
thx for your reply
strange!!! it's work now for me
first was seen connect to the wireless network but could not surf ... etc.
anyway it works now!
No internet when switched to WiFi
I have the same issue. No internet when WiFi is turned on with darkstone HD2Froyo, Kernel 2.6.32.9-38076 (Cotulla 25/07/2010). I can ping my HD2 from my network over WiFi.
Seems as if the default gateway on my HD2 is not set in that case.
Is there an app to check the current ip settings?
I´m also wondering about the strange mac address my dhcp server shows me

^ that is the MAC address of your HD2 on the current Android build. We all have it -> CLICK
If you are usin MAC address filtering on the WiFi router, this is your problem - edit the MAC address list
Long shot but this worked for me.
wi-fi has worked no problem on most builds but anything with sense on it just wouldn't find my network, would find networks all around me but not the one sat next right to the phone!!!
Changed the channel on my router from 13 to 11 and hey presto, picked it up straight away

Tould you that i can ping the device so this has nothing todo with mac filtering.
Any other ideas?
I'm using the Darkstone Froyo build and WiFi works a treat when you enable it, the problem with it is that when the device is not in use and you activate the screen and unlock it, 9 times out of 10 it will be using 3g instead.
If you go into Settings -> Wifi it says "turning off"... then immediately goes to connecting to my home network wifi and all is well... ok, all is well until next time the device is idle
For the samsung and lg wp7 phones there are some solutions to find the mac address.
How can we find the mac address of htc trophy ?
If you have got a Router at home, and your Phone is connected to it via WiFi - just check the Mac Adress in the Router Menu.
Thanks. it worked...
I have an i9023 UK version , 2.34 official version with 3G network (working on the phone)
I am now using the building wifi hotspot function (open)
my ipad2 & thinkpad T520 can both find the hotspot and connect
however, both deceives wont connect to the internet
my ipad shows me the DHCP config
IP address : 169.254.57.192
Network mask: 255.255.0.0
any suggesting? thanx
Well you have a self assigned IP address which is not going to get you anywhere. Try rebooting your phone or restarting the hotspot app.
Also try restarting your iPad as well.

I did it multiple time reboot all the devices do I need to root? Thanx
After stable pie update my wifi mac address and Bluetooth mac address interchanged.
So i cant connect to my office wifi.
Pls help to revert back to my stock wifi mac address.
My device is not rooted !
It's supposedly a feature of Android Pie.
I hope not since I whitelist macs to my network

You just have to do it one more time after the update. Every WIFI network gets its own mac address but it is remembered for the next time you connect to same wifi.
Pretty straightforward what I said on the title. But for more context, I can only connect to the WiFi when randomized MAC address is active. And because my network setup has MAC whitelisting I have to remove the default MAC address from the list and add the random one but I fear of the MAC address get changed on some time which makes it a bit hassle to do.
This happened on crDroid 8.1, PixelOS 13 and evolution X.
