Hey and welcome to archos community!
You mean a honeycomb port?
There is a hc port but it isnt work because google wont release the sources..
The port is from luisivan and it stuck with the unlock screen.
I prefer to you to install the openAOS boot menu with urukdroid 1.0 (our best custom rom ) and cyanogen
All instructions to do so are in a thread created by me in the general section (i think site 2/3)

Hey thanks for the welcome , So when inseall the openAOS then what will it enable me to do , Install a new faster Rom ?

You can install urukdroid also without the boot menu
But with the boot menu you are able to boot multiple OSs (Archos Android,Urukdroid,Cyanogen,Angstrom,Debian,LXDE,...)
If you have a little experience with Linux and android you should setup your boot menu but if you just want one fast rom than install urukdroid alone

Sent from my A101IT using Tapatalk

Also to enable the multiboot i firstly need to root the boot then flash yeah ?
Many thanks

No you dont need root to get multiboot
You need to have the SDE to do so
Just flash the initramfs and zImage via boot menu
(All instructions for that you can find here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153522)

Thanks and so with multi boot on there can i then load a custom rom? Or am i getting confussed

Standart:
Archos
Angstrom
Archos is the normal archos android
Angstrom is the linux distro from the sde,you propably not gonna use it
You can add these:
Debian Linux distro
Cyanogen The best mod for many phones(for us its just the beta!)
Urukdroid the best mod for us at the moment (to add urukdroid to the menu you have to have a little linux knowledge!(look at my thread))
You add the OS's with a image file, it is a single file like *.zip or *.rar
Then you have to edit the menu.lst, this is the boot menu list (lst=list)

HELP! 2.3!!!! Help this noob over here =)

Hey guys, ve recently found out that androids can soon play playstation games. but it requires android 2.3 and above. so for x8s running of android 2.3(eg Gingerbread) can they play the playstation games? and can they support FLVs ?(according to my knowledge flash player needs 2.2 or above)
and also ve found out that sony has stopped updating x8 OS, eclair 2.1 is the latest and last ( or something like that) but since we can change our x8 to other OS like 2.3s , why are so many people still so frustated ? (just want to understand more ~ im a newbie)
I wanna use gingerbread 2.3....HELP
What is cynogen mod 7?
what does flashing roms mean? Why?
What is quadrant?
What should i start with? - Rooted, Link2sd, 2.1.1.a.0.6, the last 3 digits of my Baseband version is 015,
so many stuff - Flashing roms~ JiT ~ xRecovery ~
Which step should i take first? can somebody tell me haha.. just tell me what to do and ill go and search and download and THANK YOU! =)
People say the 2.3 is still not stable yet. Camera not working, wifi not working(but i believe that some of the bugs are fixed).. Can anyone tell me the latest condition? What's not working?
sorry for my bad english. Detail explainations would be lovely!! TT
Hi
I dont know too much about playstation games to x8, but i dont think is so simply.
Flash player will not work in x8 because of cpu limitations
Quadrant: most popular benchmark app for android. See in market
Cyanogen mod is a good custom rom made by a xda member
Flash rom: install a custom rom
The most stable rom at the moment is the minicm 2.2.1 See that topic in x8 developement section. 2.3 is not too stable, has some bugs. Nor recommended for everyday use
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
Here you have custom rom's made by ratch's (thank's to him for his work)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914513
you must have Xrecovery instaled when you want to instal na custom ROM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878426 here is the thread for xRecovery, see instruction's how to instal it
and beforre you get xRecovery you must root your phone (easyest way with SuperOneClick) search on youtube and you will see how that work...
OK thanks so much and what's Jit? and according to my knowledge xrecovery is for backing up the original firmware we ussing?

yes for backup your curent OS and restore new (2.2 or 2.3 android)
I don't know exactly what is Jit, i just know that has to do with performanceof your phone!

for every custom you will need xRecovery, because you restore (or flash) miniCM or ratch's 2.2 or 2.3
Jit= just in time
Android 2.1 translate the java code with precaching, but if you enable jit the code interpreter translating in real time, doesnt use cache. So it is faster

Okay i wanna ask a question
Link2sd needs two partitions in ur sd..i have..One for normal usage and one for apps only.
I just installed cm7 rom and ive found out that it only uses the free space my first partition and the free space of my 1st partition becomes its "everything". so for my cm7 rom, theres no 2nd partition. how can i get link2sd work on my cm7 rom then?
2.3 roms use only fat32 partition. Backup data from sd and format sd as fat32

okay maybe im not detail enough..
i was using stock rom 2.1.1.a.0.6,
and my sd has 2 partitions, both FAT32 , i call them :
a) for normal usage
b) for creating links using link2sd
so now i installed the 2.3rom into (a) and it becomes as if it only has one partition. so im just wondering can we use the partition tool shown in the xrecovery menu to solve this, to divide my (a) into 2 partitions.
Sorry for being noob =)

No because sauron did code complete fresh for urukdroid 1.5 , thats why it called 1.5
I think sibere just work at his new kernel, when he have enough time
We should remember that all devs dont get paid and they do this as their hobbys like me(not as a dev)

All i dont have in my thread for now is the different kernels (like sibere,.. v10,11,12,13) but I already was thinking about how to include this best
@ Lenn do u really think its useful "choosing" between em.
As far as i know (k I don't know much ) there is no reason to stick with an old urukdroid version at all (beside the dvb & cinemaplugin function are not yet inculed in 1.5 in a final stage)
@LeoNg628 perhaps u should rename it from [source] to [download] as i expected to fine the sources (source code) here

Many new users cant use the update function, so they had have to install via the easyinstall method..
So they had to use Uruk1.0, but the RC1 of 1.5 is out, so they can use the newest version
I told around 10 peoples how to update from 1.0 to b2 or b3 of 1.5...

so it more like and "update howto" not and choosing of an old version like 1.1b2 - kk
Also wanted to give some hints for mutliboot - but i didn't try the alternativeOS option on my own yet sinc ei had no time for
Y - already thought about creating another thread in dev secion for an "howto urukdroid" - but i didn't do it yet since it's very unconfortable using such thing in a "thread". already thought about asking sauron for wiki permissions so we could creat such a thing there.
Anyway it shouldn't be that hard for ppl to read the last 3 pages of a thread and be up-to-date to know how to use a version - or starting from the download post where sauron posted the last version.
If they don't do things like here happen more often eventualy (dont take it serious ). DEV versions shouldn't be for lazy ppl tho? Well im not sure how 2 handle this atm.
But i still think a wiki like thing would be nice.

Some questions about that I could not get an answer from $auron:
Can we use UrukDroid-1.5-kernelOC.tbz2 14-Aug-2011 18:32 5.2M after having installed UrukDroid_1.5-Install.rar 15-Aug-2011 22:53 147M?
I have doubt because the final 1.5 package is of later date. So is the kernel in the install package not newer than the OC package? Do I miss anything the final kernel in the package has if I install the older OC kernel??
Secondly, how does this $auron OC kernel compare to Sibere's OC kernel? Does $auron only do OC, no undervolting and no other tweaks?
Lastly... if the answers are positive... How do I install OC kernel on top of UD 1.5 exactly?
Thanks!!

convert hd2 to android

hi guys got one of these phones and looking to convert it to android.
i used to have a zte blade which i used custom roms on.
having looked around on the net there appears to be a lot of threads and ways of doing it, through sd card and through the nand.
just a quick question what is the best way to convert ?
thanks in advance
nand.
you just need to install hspl, and magldr.
then, flash over clockwork mod to flash roms.
you can see it done on youtube.

'Is there a more stable ROM out there'
Read the ROM title, it's a BETA!! Of course there are more stable ROMs out there, this one isn't even for daily use (in my opinion). Firstly see this guide for how to flash, then as for ROMs you may want to try a CM7 ROM, these are fast and stable.
if you want safety (keep a warranty if you have one), ability to go back to winmo in a snap, and ease youre safest bet is SD rom!
if you are wanting to turn this bad boy into more of a NATIVE android/WP7 device get to flashing that NAND!
there are plenty of ROCK solid android roms available, however, ANY droid 4.x (ICS) roms at this point arent quite your solid everyday drivers. they (the AMAZING devs here) are still working out bugs with usb storage and camera conflicts. so if neither one of those are needed then go for it lol :-D
whatever method you choose (SD/NAND) I wish you good luck and a simple reminder ... READ, READ, READ!!!

Good choice of rom
You would have to flash a new Kernel which supports higher O/C frequencies. I personally haven't found much difference after doing this, but Dorimanx's Kernel supports up to 1.61GHz overclock
To flash, just enter CWM and flash .zip folder

I would recommend not doing that, as you may get into the habit of Task29ing too much. this could cause problems (search bad blocks on NAND) in future. You could probably get away with just reflashing CWM if you followed the rest of the steps correctly

Android 2.3

I know everyone is looking forward to ICS but my demands may be more modest...
Is it possible to have a Gingerbread UrukDroid? Or do I need to switch to CM for that?
UrukDroid is based on the stock 2.2 firmware with customizations. To get Gingerbread you'll have to use OpenAOS CM7 which is based on 2.3.7. It has most things working, but video and camera are still having problems. It feels quite a bit smoother than stock firmware. With the new kboot bootloader, you can now install both OpenAOS CM7 and UrukDroid at the same time.
Thanks. I'll give it a try.

How to install both at A101it? Can someone provide the steps? I m using urukdroid now.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA
You might need to do some custom partitioning, but if you already have UrukDroid installed you just need to install the kboot bootloader and then install the OpenAOS 2.3 image onto your storage, get the menu.lst set up for OpenAOS, and put the Uruk and OpenAOS kernel/initramfs'es into the kboot/os folder as described in the kboot tutorial.
I haven't actually tried it, but kboot should work well for that. I dual-boot Ubuntu and OpenAOS with kboot (also stock, which can be rooted through openaos).
Where can I get the menu.lst for CM?
EDIT: nevermind I found :

it would have been even more easy if u read the instuctions
you just have to name the img file propper and it will autocreate the entry
My advice is to prepare a lot of patience for CM7. It may run in trouble and u have to do a lot of things and read a lot. But the other thing is the support is good

Hi!Be sure that every DS 5 user will be appreciate to you and every one of us is ready to test it and donate you!
If you search the forum you can see that hPa was developing CM9 for DS 5 but his phone crashes under bus and he shared his development files in the forum.
And i think you can use CM9 for acer liquid s as a porting source because it almost has the same hardware with DS 5.

export BOOTCLASSPATH /system/framework/core.jar:/system/framework/core-junit.jar:/system/framework/bouncycastle.jar:/system/framework/ext.jar:/system/framework/framework.jar:/system/framework/android.policy.jar:/system/framework/services.jar:/system/framework/apache-xml.jar:/system/framework/filterfw.jar/filterfw.jar
also, mediafire j1d440p472atddp <- this boot.img is taken from nandriod image of my own aosp 4.0.4_r1 build that is able to boot to lockscreen (i've proviided some photos of it in this thread in Q&A forum)
I think I already said in my thread
That I dont have my PC for now (my father sealed it)
And also it wont be there for a month more(till I get admission to Comp science engg in good college)
:-(

So your very close to having it done then?
Fuys we need a modified amss and dsp for ICS to work
Like froyo to GB bht I think its too hard to reverse engg
And we need to modify the dsc kernel with hPA patches I am going for it as soon. As get my PC

hope so
from what i've learned recently - disabled hw acceleration is caused by missing genlock support in kernel (it's required by adreno200 ics drivers, i believe). i've applied genlock enablement patch to dsc kernel sources, compiling it as i write this . if new kernel will give me working hw acceleration - i'll proceed to incorporating hpa's patches. fingers crossed
as of amss and dsp mods being required for ics to work - dunno yet. at least rild is working ok, according to logcat and signal strenght icon in statusbar and cell network name appearing on lockscreen.
Sorry for my noob question, I see our DS proc. and gpu similar with HTC HD2 and both use 2.6.35.xx kernel. HD2 can run ICS used the modified kernel from Tytung. They hv 2 version ICS, non hwa and full hwa, both can run smooth. Maybe we can use or modified the kernel for our DS.
I hv evo 4g running ICS, kernel Tiamat 2.6.38.xx. The rom is not too different from HTC HD2. ICS w/o hwa hv little lag but can reduce by using chainfire 3D to reduce the picture quality.

why we have proprietary drivers for then? just in case?
learned that tiamat kernel's genlock patch (they also have it included since feb'12) is somewhat different of what i've used to apply to dsc sources and produces rejects when applied. will look into this later.
EDIT: Correct. Currently i'm examining both kernels you've mentioned for kgsl-related stuff. It's is quite different from what we have in dell (read dsc phoenix kernel) sources. Errors i'm getting currently clearly indicate that kernel-side need to be updated for using ics drivers.
Hence, here goes kgsl backport mini-project. No clear ETA, but I'll try to do my best and finish it asap.

Hello there!
Van időm, mert megkértem ezt Kolteabhiman Super-v0.3.120308-ROM linket MokeeOS u8800pro Sakura.zip-on használom. Azt hiszem, gyorsan én nem találtam benne hibát stabil! Tudom használni a szuper jó!
Elnézést a google fordító hibázott a hozzászólásomra!
Köszönöm!
