Speaker died?

I was changing my ringtone and when previewing one, it skipped alot and then kind of fizzled out and now no sound play out of the speaker. Head phones work and in call audio works throught the ear speaker. But no loud speaker at all.
Do I need to send my phone in for a replacement? Can I take it to the store I bought it from and get a new one?

Can we use the earpiece speaker for all sounds?

Can we use the earpiece speaker for all sounds?
I wish there were a front facing speaker, it just doesn't make sense when ur playing a game or playing music if something you think the sound would come at you not go the other way, right? Think of A stereo in your room, car, or even a concert ....

anyone have any idea? Is it even possible? It seems as thought it would be -just redirect the sound output to either the earpiece or both the earpiece and back speaker..
This is an awesome idea. I am not sure if this is just the case design or what not, but look at the earpiece and it seems to have three little cutouts with screens for speakers. I am guessing there is just one speaker behind there though.

X8 Speaker Volume too low

Hi, I am running froyobread v020 on my x8 and now i face a issue with the speaker as its volume is very low. please help!
If its got the dsp manager you could try turning the equalizer up full should sound louder when playing music

Perhaps you have put your speaker. EQ often only clogs the speaker (the sound becomes fuzzy and unpleasant). Chances are there need special drivers for the speaker, which likely does not exist. Try to go to the Service Center.

and do some settings in DSP

Crackly Speaker Issues.

Hi there I've only just received my Nexus 7 today, its a C80 and I was really excited to get it. First thing I did was check for defects, screen seems perfect no "spongy" spots. However the speakers are really crackly even around 50%.
Did some more investigating. Downloaded an equaliser app and if I lower the 3 middle bands about 5db then its bearable. I downloaded poweramp and was messing around with the equaliser. I found out that its just the left speaker and the right is perfectly fine.
I think I can live with audio just from the right speaker but obviously I am pretty annoyed that my Nex is defective.
Should I return my device? If not is there any way that I can get a equaliser that will change the global audio settings so that audio from the left speaker will come out the right. Or just put the speakers into mono and then disable the left speaker?
any other ideas?
Thanks.
Right I've rooted and installed PA and, trying to use DSP manager to just have sound out of the right speaker but it doesn't have that functionality.
Does anyone know if there is an equaliser app that can change the stereo balance?
Thanks.

Quick question - headphone click sound

When I use my Bose QC15 headphones with my phone, if I launch an app or press one of the nav keys, I hear a clicking sound through the headphones, like it is turning off and on almost.. I know that sounds odd, but I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and has a possible solution?
Also, when audio is playing this noise stops. It is only when there is no audio playing.
Thanks.
Hi, I'm experiencing the same thing. I bought earphones by Aukey on Amazon and they were doing this clicking that got progressively worse as the call went on. I now bought a pair of Gwee buds. Same problem. Both sound fine on regular audio video and on other phones...

I can report the same problem as well. I have a pair of RHA T20, and I can hear the clicking sound whenever I enable "reverberation" in Viper4Android. Maybe it's your sound setting?
Odds enough, it happens only one the ear that has the Mic attached to it on the Green buds. I'll try the aukeys to compare. I check the sound settings and get back to you too

6P noise also
I use my 6P in my car for navigation and occasional music. I use a cable to connect from the headphone jack to the aux in on the car's sound system. Very often, but not always, I get what sounds to me like cross over noise, playing on both channels. Rhythmic ticks and taps, some buzzes and so forth. I believe it to be digital noise, bleeding in from god knows where. It corresponds to touchscreen activity, and only occurs when the 12v adapted power supply is plugged into the phone. Unplug the USBc and all is quiet, except for what is supposed to be coming through.
I've searched quite a bit and this thread is the closest I've found to my experience. Any ideas?
